Description

Our house is located at the foot of the Dolomites, just off the highway that leads to Belluno. It is secluded and surrounded by greenery. The location is strategic both for its position, an hour's drive from Venice and Cortina d'Ampezzo, and because it is an excellent base for engaging in many activities - from windsurfing to paragliding.

Three well-lit rooms on the first floor of the house. The view extends over the three hectares of land surrounding the house. In the evening, deer and roe deer can be glimpsed, as well as mouflons and sometimes foxes. Two rooms are doubles and one is single, but can be made into a double if needed.

On the ground floor, there is a large living room exclusively for guests and a bright breakfast room with books, board games, informational material, and a series of images to inspire your next exploration. If needed, we are here for you: just ask and we will provide you with recommendations.

We have chosen to live here because we believe in peripheral, secluded, and quiet places. Paolo moved from Milan, Alice returned: together, we want to build an alternative to the city rush, an alternative in the countryside. Paolo makes honey, loves working outdoors, and is passionate about food and wine - ask him about local wines or restaurants, hiking, and activities like paragliding. On the other hand, Alice is a journalist who has written a guide to the Dolomites and is an explorer of local history - ask her about forest creatures, boatmen, and the use of forests by the Republic of Venice..

Area countryside

The Valbelluna is spread out at our feet and can be reached by car in an average of 30 minutes (depending on: Lake Santa Croce, paradise for windsurfing, kitesurfing, sunbathing, fishing, is 10 minutes away, Lake Corlo is 40 minutes away). The Dolomites are behind the Dolada spur, waiting to be explored: the most famous ones and the lesser-known ones. On Mount Dolada, overlooking Fastuc from above, the Alta Via number 7 (complex) passes by, with a friendly refuge-restaurant and a clearing for paragliding. Just a stone's throw away from here, the Alpago begins with its magnificent forests and grassy clearings, scattered villages, and sports events.

On the bike tour from Munich to Venice we found a very good accommodation. It is about three kilometers off the route. Very nicely located, very clean, everything new and very friendly, helpful hosts. Three nice rooms with private bathrooms. A well-equipped communal kitchen and a living room with a TV complete the offering. We felt very comfortable and will gladly come back.

We stayed here on a cycle tour from Munich to Venice, and it was hands down one of the highlights of our trip. A beautiful, warm and peaceful home with stunning scenic views across the mountains, comfortable beds, nice toiletries, immaculately clean and tasteful decor throughout, and kitchen facilities for cooking. Alice and Paolo could not have made us feel more welcome, and it was wonderful to experience their hospitality. An infinitely warmer and more memorable experience than a typical hotel. We look forward to returning again someday.

Charming newly reconstructed property with a great view over the Belluno valley. The hosts, Paolo and Alice, are welcoming and kindhearted. A car is definitely recommended. Overall it was a great experience. We are definitely looking forward to coming back. P.S. Really great coffee for breakfast.

Beautiful stay in the middle of nature and peace. Simple breakfast, but very good and plentiful. Paolo and Alice were very kind and always available. Definitely a place to come back to!
