Area city center
The Brenta Riviera is a picturesque area located between Venice and Padua, famous for its charming Venetian Villas. These historic residences were built by wealthy Venetian families during the 16th and 18th centuries, as a symbol of their power and wealth.
To fully appreciate the beauty of the Brenta Riviera and its Villas, we suggest following the Venetian Villas itinerary. This itinerary will take you along the picturesque Brenta Canal, where you will discover some of the most stunning Villas of the region.
The itinerary starts in Venice, where you can board a boat that will take you to the Brenta Canal. Along the way, you will pass through picturesque villages and admire the beautiful landscape of the Venetian countryside.
One of the most impressive Villas along the itinerary is the Villa Foscari, also known as La Malcontenta. This Villa, designed by the famous architect Andrea Palladio, is a true masterpiece of the Renaissance architecture.
Another must-see Villa is the Villa Pisani, also known as the "Queen of the Villas." This magnificent residence, built in the 18th century, is surrounded by a beautiful park and features stunning frescoes by Giambattista Tiepolo.
The Venetian Villas itinerary ends in Padua, where you can admire the Villa Contarini, a splendid example of Baroque architecture.
We highly recommend taking the time to explore the Brenta Riviera and discovering the beauty of its Venetian Villas. It's a journey that will take you back in time and make you appreciate the history and culture of this unique region of Italy.
