Description

Casa Battisti is located in the historical center of Padua, at 227 Via Cesare Battisti. It offers guests a spacious apartment on the top floor of a recently renovated historic building. The entrance is independent and there is an elevator.

It is an S.P.E.S facility, managed by the social cooperative E-Sfaira.

There are 6 rooms available, each with a private bathroom: 3 double and 3 single. All rooms have the possibility of an additional bed and are equipped with individual air conditioning units. Cribs and cots for children are also available.

Guests can enjoy a large indoor breakfast room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a beautiful terrace with a charming view of the roofs of downtown Padua. The atmosphere is simple and informal, making it a welcoming and peaceful environment.

All necessary tools for the well-being of children are provided, including changing tables, bottle warmers, strollers, high chairs, and cribs.

Hospitality is offered in a Bed and Breakfast (B&B) formula, and the price per room includes:
- The room with a private bathroom, with daily cleaning service and towel change every 3 days.

- Italian buffet breakfast (external service).

- Use of the living room and its facilities for meals.

- Use of kitchen equipment (refrigerator and microwave) to store or heat food.

- Wi-Fi internet access and a computer available to guests.

- Small pets are allowed.

As additional services, the facility also offers:

Casa Battisti is a facility managed by the social cooperative E-Sfaira, which provides Educational and Social Services for People (S.P.E.S).

S.P.E.S is an institution that has traditionally focused on the social and educational needs of families.

E-Sfaira is a social cooperative that has been assisting socially vulnerable women for many years, particularly single mothers and migrant women.

In the past two years, the cooperative has also operated as a type B organization, in response to the growing need for workplace support for women who possess valuable skills and abilities but lack the knowledge and practices necessary for effective employment (www.esfaira.it).

Casa Battisti is a women's employment project.

It offers accommodation services with bed and breakfast, as well as a solidarity work laboratory for women: a laboratory focused on the hospitality sector in tourism.

The women involved in the project learn to carry out all the required tasks (welcoming guests, concierge services, cleaning, wardrobe management, etc.) under the guidance of professionals.

This project involves socially vulnerable women, particularly unemployed or inactive women, single mothers, and migrant women, in a gradual path towards employment. The women involved learn all the phases of the business, experiencing a professional relationship that requires commitment, consistency, seriousness, and reliability. In this way, they discover their own abilities and resources.

I arrived at 9 pm after a tiring day. I had asked for information via email to reach Casa Battisti by public transport from the station and then, getting off the tram, I had to walk for more than 200 civic numbers with my luggage! My single room was not at all comfortable, the bed and bathroom carpets were stained and dirty, in the bathroom there was a nauseating smell and the shower, lights, and sanitary ware were in extreme need of maintenance. The bedspread was folded in half, probably larger than the single bed, and the heat during the night was unbearable. The white armchair cover was dirty and looked like it had just been used, a horrible experience I would say, there wasn't even a lighter blanket in the wardrobe. The bed was quite dilapidated and squeaky, a piece from a landfill! The lady who welcomed me the night before was rather awkward and insecure, my receipt had already been printed and I had been given a discount (for hospitalization) of which I knew nothing and I was asked for a hospitalization certificate even before being admitted (the next morning at the hospital they were waiting for me for surgery). Poor organization and structure to be fixed, I think I would have slept much better in a hostel. I wouldn't have paid more than €20 and instead they asked me for €39. I would not recommend it to anyone.

We spent, my wife and I, a week at Casa Battisti. Central location, clean, equipped with every comfort, kitchen available and above all we were amazed because they invited us to have breakfast with our daughters who study in Padua. Great availability and seriousness from the staff but above all special was the professionalism and friendliness of Mrs. Susi. We will gladly return after the summer.

Really good structure, as well as the cleanliness of the premises. What struck me the most was the welcome from the manager, very attentive, kind, helpful, and caring towards my needs: I have a small child. All very pleasant, it was like being at home, with all the comforts especially in the use of the kitchen, the lady allowed me to prepare a lunch for my little one using the kitchen independently as if I were at home. Thank you very much again! I really recommend it to anyone, especially those with children.

Wonderful welcome and availability from both people at Casa Battisti that I met. The only disappointment was not finding shower products except for a single soap, so I showered with the soap that I then used for my hands. The towels were very hard and scratched the skin. Bathroom with old accessories. Otherwise, besides the excellent welcome, there was the possibility to cook and dishes available. Great reference point to return to Padua.

The lady who manages Casa Battisti has always been attentive and smiling. The location is excellent for visiting the center of Padova. The atmosphere is familiar, the rooms are clean, and for two mornings we woke up to the smell of freshly baked croissants.
