The B&B is located in the heart of the city near Campo San Giacomo dell'Orio, lively and with trees, the ideal place for Venetians in the hour of the aperitif.
It is just far 5 minutes from the famous bridge and Rialto market, which is a place rich of typical taverns.
Easy to reach by walking from both the train station (10 min.) or Piazzale Roma (15 minutes); is also only 150 m. far from San Stae waterbus stop.
The recently renovated house offers two bright and spacious rooms that overlook a typical quiet "calle", as in Venice are called the streets. Each room has a private bathroom.
The arrangement of the rooms provides maximum comfort and privacy for guests.

Breakfast is served in a lovely kitchen-room or, during the summer on a romantic roof terrace "altana" overlooking the rooftops of the city.
A wonderful Siberian cat lives in the house

We stayed at the B&B San Stae for two nights, perfect and cozy room. The owner was very kind and always available to give precious advice about the city. The breakfast fully met all our expectations and needs. The area was convenient, quiet, and in a location halfway between the station and the center. Sancho, the beautiful Siberian cat of the B&B, makes the experience even more pleasant and unique.

At B&B San Stae, you stay well in Venice! A quiet house, a comfortable bed in a well-equipped and lovingly decorated room in the heart of the S. Croce district. The bathroom is new and spotless. The breakfast prepared by Genovina is fabulous and a great start to a perfect day in 'Venice'. On the charming rooftop terrace, surrounded by flowering plants and overlooking the picturesque roof landscape of S. Croce, you can enjoy a selection of fresh fruit, muesli, toast, cheese, coffee/tea, fruit juice, and more. Nearby is Piazza S. Guglielmo di Orio, where locals mingle with occasional tourists. A little off the main tourist paths, you'll find shops, a supermarket, museums, gondolas, the Grand Canal, and very good restaurants just around the corner. Genovina is a lovely hostess and can provide you with valuable ideas for discovering authentic Venice in art, history, shopping, and dining. Thank you, Genovina, I can warmly recommend B&B San Stae as a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in the 'Serenissima'!

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the B&B San Stae with a lovely room and bathroom. The owner was an excellent host and made sure we had everything we needed, including a lovely breakfast each morning with the co-host (the cat). A lovely place to stay and see the sights of Venice.

Appartement très bien situé à 5mn à pied de l'arrêt du vaporetto (ligne 1), chambre avec salle de bain très propre et spacieuse. Accueil parfait et chaleureux, petit déjeuner copieux, nous avons passé un excellent moment !

We had a lovely time! Our host has a beautiful home and the accommodations were better than any hotel we would have secured in the same price range. We had the room with the private (non-en suite bath). the bathroom was less than 10 feet from our room and was no issue at all. Food for breakfast was ample, and kept us full until lunch. I enjoyed that we were in a more residential area of Venice. We had no problem getting around the city from the location. Upon arriving, we walked from the train station with luggage (~15 minutes), but on our return we took the water taxi (much easier). We would definitely stay here again!

Che dire la proprietaria “Genovina” è di una cortesia e disponibilità sconfinata. Casa vicinissima a San Stae quindi collegamenti rapidi anche se in dieci minuti si arriva a San Marco a piedi. Per riassumere il mio giudizio, “è come se avessi soggiornato a casa mia” così mi sono sentito. Grazie Paolo.

Host was lovely that cooked a very nice breakfast everyday that we could enjoy on her roof top terrace.
location excellent part of Venice close enough to all attractions but quiet at night.
Close to heaps of cafes and restaurants and a 15 min walk to train station.
beware as the room is on second level of the building, no lift, overall a nice place, host and in a great part Venice.
Definitely recommend.

Excellent appartement et très bon accueil de la part de l’hôte qui est très sympathique et disponible. Tout était parfait, le logement est propre et bien situé, quartier calme, la chambre est parfaite avec tout le nécessaire. La salle de bain privative est un plus. We had a great experience with Genovina! We arrived very late by boat and she was very accommodating and picked us up from the boat stop. Our room and bathroom was clean and large. Genovina had great communication and prompt with her replies. She gave us a map and advice on where to visit. We also really enjoyed the breakfast each morning on the rooftop with her cat Sandro as company! Would highly recommend.

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti, Rita ed io, in questo delizioso B&B. Posizione perfetta per visitare a piedi la città (a metà strada tra la stazione di santa Lucia e il ponte di Rialto) e a due passi dalla fermata del vaporetto.
La struttura molto carina e ben curata, con un meraviglioso terrazzino vista tetti dove l'ottima padrona di casa ci serviva una abbondante e ricca colazione. Grazie ancora Genovina per la gentilezza, la disponibilità e la simpatia. È stata una bellissima vacanza.

La struttura e molto carina e pulita si trova in una posizione comoda alla stazione, si arriva facilmente a piedi sia al ponte di rialto e sia in piazza san marco, la signora Giovina e stata gentilissima molto disponibile in tutto.
Tornerei volentieri e lo faro sicuramente.

Posto a 10 minuti dalla stazione e 10 minuti da rialto, il gestore squisito una buona colazione e comunque chiede che tipo di colazione si vuole fare, struttura pulita e confortevole.

Genovina la proprietaria è gentilissima e disponibile. La struttura è in una posizione magnifica, a 2 passi da Rialto, ma lontana dal caos dei turisti. Assolutamente consigliato.

Very comfortable little B&B in a quiet side-street that is only one minute's walk from the water bus stop, and within a few minutes' walk from the rail station, the Rialto bridge, and lots of great restaurants. Genovina, the host, is extremely kind and welcoming - she came to the water bus stop to meet us, and did everything she could to make us feel at home. Sancho the cat is also very friendly (but if, like me, you are allergic, then don't worry, he doesn't come in the bedrooms). Breakfast is just amazing, and (weather permitting) you can enjoy it on the roof terrace with a view over the city rooftops.

ottima la posizione, in un vicolo vicino al centro ma allo stesso tempo lontano dal caos turistico e che permette di assaporare la vera atmosfera di Venezia.

Excellente chambre d'hôte située au coeur de Venise. Tout était absolument parfait:
- la situation: facile d'accès à pied, de la gare centrale de bus ou de la gare ferrovière; environ à 15 min; calme et paisible; rue non passante. Présence de nombreux commerces à proximité, de restaurants
- l'acceuil: la propriétaire est absolument charmante et donne d'excellents conseils (restaurants, déplacements)
- l'hébergement: il n'y a que 2 chambres, c'est donc calme et convivial. La chambre que nous occupions était parfaite, avec salle de douche + WC. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et excellent; pris dans la salle à manger de notre hôte, sur une grande table commune.
Soit un excellent séjour, aucune réserve à y apporter et une adresse à recommander.

This is the second time I have stayed with Genovina. I am female & travel alone, the location of this apartment is very safe & just 200m from the Grand Canal No 1 waterbus stop. The two letting bedrooms are separated from the host's living quarters by an opaque door, so it feels very private, yet you still have the advantage of staying with a Venetian who has great knowledge of the city. Breakfast is your own personal buffet, fresh fruit, breads to toast, cheese, eggs. Well located near a Coop shop to buy water/wine etc.
