Description

The B&B is located in the heart of the city near Campo San Giacomo dell'Orio, lively and with trees, the ideal place for Venetians in the hour of the aperitif.

It is just far 5 minutes from the famous bridge and Rialto market, which is a place rich of typical taverns.

Easy to reach by walking from both the train station (10 min.) or Piazzale Roma (15 minutes); is also only 150 m. far from San Stae waterbus stop.

The recently renovated house offers two bright and spacious rooms that overlook a typical quiet "calle", as in Venice are called the streets. Each room has a private bathroom.

The arrangement of the rooms provides maximum comfort and privacy for guests.

Breakfast is served in a lovely kitchen-room or, during the summer on a romantic roof terrace "altana" overlooking the rooftops of the city.

Located 10 minutes from the train station and 15 minutes from P.le Roma, it is situated behind the Rialto market (5 minutes away). The nearest vaporetto stop is S. Stae (Line 1), which is 300 meters from the residence and can be reached without crossing any bridges.

This quiet and well-serviced residential area has a supermarket, bank, bars, and restaurants in the immediate vicinity (Campo S. Giacomo dell'Orio).

Staying here for 4 nights was the best decision for my trip. Fresh breakfast was such a treat to start a day. The location is perfect to explore around Venezia, pretty close to the boat station S. Stae where you can come directly from the airport by alilaguna. I would love to come back again!

We stayed at the B&B San Stae for two nights, perfect and cozy room. The owner was very kind and always available to give precious advice about the city. The breakfast fully met all our expectations and needs. The area was convenient, quiet, and in a location halfway between the station and the center. Sancho, the beautiful Siberian cat of the B&B, makes the experience even more pleasant and unique.

At B&B San Stae, you stay well in Venice! A quiet house, a comfortable bed in a well-equipped and lovingly decorated room in the heart of the S. Croce district. The bathroom is new and spotless. The breakfast prepared by Genovina is fabulous and a great start to a perfect day in 'Venice'. On the charming rooftop terrace, surrounded by flowering plants and overlooking the picturesque roof landscape of S. Croce, you can enjoy a selection of fresh fruit, muesli, toast, cheese, coffee/tea, fruit juice, and more. Nearby is Piazza S. Guglielmo di Orio, where locals mingle with occasional tourists. A little off the main tourist paths, you'll find shops, a supermarket, museums, gondolas, the Grand Canal, and very good restaurants just around the corner. Genovina is a lovely hostess and can provide you with valuable ideas for discovering authentic Venice in art, history, shopping, and dining. Thank you, Genovina, I can warmly recommend B&B San Stae as a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in the 'Serenissima'!

We had a lovely time! Our host has a beautiful home and the accommodations were better than any hotel we would have secured in the same price range. We had the room with the private (non-en suite bath). The bathroom was less than 10 feet from our room and was no issue at all. Food for breakfast was ample and kept us full until lunch. I enjoyed that we were in a more residential area of Venice. We had no problem getting around the city from the location. Upon arriving, we walked from the train station with luggage (~15 minutes), but on our return we took the water taxi (much easier). We would definitely stay here again!

What can I say, the owner Genovina is extremely courteous and helpful. The house is very close to San Stae, so there are quick connections even if you can reach San Marco on foot in ten minutes. In summary, my judgment is that it felt like staying at my own home. Thank you, Paolo.

Host was lovely that cooked a very nice breakfast every day that we could enjoy on her rooftop terrace.\n\nExcellent location in Venice close enough to all attractions but quiet at night.\n\nClose to plenty of cafes and restaurants and a 15-minute walk to the train station.\n\nBeware as the room is on the second level of the building, no lift, overall a nice place, host and in a great part of Venice.\n\nDefinitely recommend.

We had a great experience with Genovina! We arrived very late by boat and she was very accommodating and picked us up from the boat stop. Our room and bathroom were clean and large. Genovina had great communication and was prompt with her replies. She gave us a map and advice on where to visit. We also really enjoyed the breakfast each morning on the rooftop with her cat Sandro as company! Would highly recommend.

We stayed for two nights, Rita and I, at this delightful B&B San Stae. Perfect location to explore the city on foot (halfway between Santa Lucia station and Rialto Bridge) and just a stone's throw from the vaporetto stop. The property is very nice and well-maintained, with a wonderful terrace overlooking the rooftops where the excellent landlady served us a generous and rich breakfast. Thanks again to Genovina for her kindness, availability, and friendliness. It was a beautiful vacation.

The structure is very nice and clean, it is conveniently located near the station. You can easily walk to both the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. Mrs. Giovina was very kind and helpful in every way. I would gladly return and will definitely do so.

B&B San Stae is very comfortable in a quiet side street that is only a minute's walk from the water bus stop, and within a few minutes' walk from the train station, the Rialto bridge, and many great restaurants. Genovina, the host, is extremely kind and welcoming - she came to meet us at the water bus stop and did everything she could to make us feel at home. Sancho, the cat, is also very friendly (but if, like me, you are allergic, don't worry, he doesn't come into the bedrooms). Breakfast is just amazing, and (weather permitting) you can enjoy it on the rooftop terrace with a view over the city rooftops.

Excellent guest house located in the heart of Venice. Everything was absolutely perfect: the location, easily accessible on foot from the central bus station or the railway station; about 15 minutes; quiet and peaceful; not a busy street. Presence of many shops nearby, restaurants. The welcome: the owner is absolutely charming and provides excellent advice (restaurants, transportation). The accommodation: there are only 2 rooms, so it's quiet and friendly. The room we stayed in was perfect, with shower + WC. The breakfast is plentiful and excellent; served in our host's dining room, on a large communal table. Overall, an excellent stay, no reservations to make and an address to recommend.

This is the second time I have stayed with Genovina. I am a woman and travel alone, the location of this apartment is very safe and just 200 meters from the Grand Canal No 1 waterbus stop. The two letting bedrooms are separated from the host's living quarters by an opaque door, so it feels very private, yet you still have the advantage of staying with a Venetian who has great knowledge of the city. Breakfast is your own personal buffet, with fresh fruit, breads to toast, cheese, eggs. Well located near a Coop shop to buy water/wine etc.
