Description
The bed and breakfast is located in the 15th-century Villa Ca’ Erizzo, which is one of the most picturesque architectural contexts of ancient Bassano.
Just north of the famous Palladio wooden bridge, on the east bank of the Brenta River, stands Ca’ Erizzo, an elegant structure from the 1400s, with subsequent renovations and embellishments.
In 1918, the villa was the residence of Section One of the American Red Cross ambulances.
Among those volunteer drivers was Ernest Hemingway, and in these places, he found inspiration for two of his most famous novels, "A Farewell to Arms" and "Across the River and into the Trees".
The Hemingway inn, a charming bed and breakfast, is located on the Lungobrenta, dedicated to Ernest Hemingway and is just a short walk from the recently inaugurated Hemingway and Great War Museum.
From the windows of the rooms and the internal garden, you can observe the flow of the river that touches one of the most suggestive and picturesque areas of Borgo Margnan.

Nice structure, away from the traffic and chaos of the city. Place near the Brenta river. Tranquillity and serenity, with the possibility of also using bicycles to take a walk. Also included is the pass to access the nearby museum dedicated to the writer E. Hemingway.

Beautiful B&B with large room and bathroom, by the river, in a quiet area with zero traffic. Extremely comfortable bed deserving a perfect 10. Abundant breakfast, if I must find a flaw, coffee could be improved. Helpful and kind staff.

Excellent property, unique setting just a short distance from the historic center of Bassano, highly appreciated Deepthi's hospitality, always available, beautiful room overlooking the river and delightful breakfast in the outdoor courtyard. Appreciated the free use of bikes and free entrances to the two museums.

Structure full of charm in a fantastic location, not too far from the center. Clean rooms and very well-furnished. Improvement needed at the reception (staff is kind and helpful but not well prepared for the role). Breakfast needs improvement.

The accommodation has the charm of bygone times, one can imagine Hemingway (especially because he is depicted everywhere in the accommodation). The staff are kind and attentive. The owners are efficient and courteous. The rooms are very clean and cozy.

Fantastica location, una parte di una dimora del '400 con annesso il museo della guerra e Hemingway arredata caratteristicamente con riferimenti al famoso scrittore.
Affacciata sul fiume Brenta dove è possibile fare delle meravigliose passeggiate e arrivare in centro in 10 minuti.

Our stay here was highly enjoyable, especially with the Hemingway connection so apparent. Beautiful rooms and very clean. Ours looked out onto the Brenta, making it very special. We didn't mind the walking distance into the Centro (others might have thought it a little far). The owner was so kind in picking us up from the train station. Very quiet position. Good choice at breakfast.

Grande disponibilità, gentilezza da parte del gestore che comunque rispetta la riservatezza e la privacy del cliente. Ottima location: si è in centro e al contempo vi è privacy e tranquillità.
Parcheggio privato all'interno della struttura ricettiva, possibilità di visitare gratuitamente la mostra che vi è all'interno.
Camere molto belle.
Da tornarci ogni qualvolta si viene a Bassano.

Un posticino splendido, affacciato sulle rive del Brenta, con tutta la miglior atmosfera dell’Hemingway di “Across the river into the trees”..La locanda è situata in un’ala laterale dell’edificio che, verso il centro, include la bella facciata rinascimentale di Ca’ Erizzo. Gli interni sono curatissimi, la mia stanza (Green hills of Africa) con due finestre che si aprono sul Brenta, ben arredata, con un bagno spaziosissimo, completamente nuovo, con una squisita e abbondante scelta di prodotti (gratuiti) per la cura personale.
La posizione del B&B, sulla sponda sinistra del Brenta a monte del Ponte Vecchio, è perfetta per essere non lontana dal centro di Bassano ma sufficientemente isolata da offrire una quiete assoluta.
Ciliegina sulla torta, per chi ama pedalare, delle moderne biciclette che la Locanda mette gratuitamente a disposizione dei turisti per gironzolare a conoscere i dintorni. Consiglio questa sistemazione senza alcuna esitazione.

We have stayed in hundreds of hotels and B&Bs and this one was one of the best. I had absolutely zero complaints! They even gave us a bottle of Prosecco for New Year’s Eve! From the moment they greeted us, I knew I was going to really enjoy the stay. The caretaker tickled and welcomed all three of our dogs (they are small and very well behaved and travel everywhere with us) when most hotels give us a doubtful look when they see three dogs. The location is wonderful..peaceful and beautiful. It’s a long-ish walk to downtown, but it’s pleasant and easy and we did it four times a day with pleasure. The interiors were gorgeous and cozy. I will recommend this place to all of my visiting friends and family.

Piccolo paradiso di eleganza e accoglienza in uno luogo unico!
Si tratta di una dependance della Villa CàErizzo, destinata dalla Proprietaria ad accogliere in un contesto unico pochi fortunati ospiti.
La Villa si affaccia sul fiume Brenta, lungo il quale si snoda una facile e piacevolissima passeggiata che consiglio a tutti, dopo ovviamente aver gustato la ricca e deliziosa prima colazione.
Accoglienza cortese e professionale, prezzo adeguatissimo al servizio ricevuto.

Questa struttura è probabilmente il miglior B&B tra i molti in cui abbiamo soggiornato. Servizi e dotazioni da hotel 4 stelle, pulitissimo e ricercato nello stile. Zona tranquilla e caratteristica a pochi minuti a piedi dal centro storico pedonale, parcheggio adiacente alla struttura. Per il poco tempo a disposizione non abbiamo potuto usufruire del servizio di biciclette ma sicuramente torneremo a Bassano e certamente alla Locanda Hemingway.

Interesting place, next to the Hemingway Museum, but not connected. Simple but with luxury like airco, very nice washroom with fine accessoires. Highly appreciated was the opportunity to park the car safely for a week!

I slept with the window open to hear the river, I was blessed with beautiful weather in October.

Posto molto caratteristico è particolare per la storia che l'ha preceduto, camere arredate con cura e pulite, dotazione personale in bagno e camera fantastica mai vista neanche negli hotel di alta categoria, personale disponibilissimo ad ogni esigenza, se ritornerò a Bassano la locanda Hemingway sarà il mio punto base.

Il soggiorno da dieci e lode è si da attribuire alla villetta, con grazioso e curato giardino, che rievoca anche negli arredamenti Hemingway uomo, militare e scrittore; le camere spaziose, romantiche, comode e con dettagli ricercati; la quiete che la circonda con la rilassante vista sul Brenta e la breve passeggiata per arrivare in centro storico, ma soprattutto la delicata gentilezza, disponibilità, discrezione e simpatia della padrona di casa, Signora Lucilla. Ritorneremo sicuramente perché è stata una delle vacanze più rilassanti e interessanti. Bassano é veramente graziosa e nel giro di pochi chilometri ci sono molte località belle e interessanti da visitare. A presto!

Una posizione deliziosa, una struttura accogliente e curata in ogni particolare, camere arredate con eleganza e buon gusto..in questo singolare B&B si racchiude intimamente il senso discreto e premuroso dell'ospitalità che ci piace enormemente, che ci appaga e rilassa, che ci fa sentire di essere accuditi e liberi. Hemingway non è una effimera citazione d'amore letterario, ma se invece ami sentire il respiro della storia, proprio in questa struttura ricavata da un bellissimo edificio quattrocentesco, il giovane scrittore soggiornò da volontario durante la prima guerra mondiale. A due passi potrete soddisfare ogni curiosità su queste vicende, visitando l'interessantissimo e ben curato Museo Hemingway, un luogo unico e ricchissimo di documenti e fotografie.

Sono stato ospite di questa graziosa struttura insieme a tre amici, per un weekend in Bassano del Grapppa. Siamo stati i primi fortunati che hanno potuto "assaporare" la bellezza della ristrutturazione del sito e del gusto degli arredi interni il tutto amorevolmente curato dalla gentilissima e squisita bravura di Lucilla! L'annesso museo dedicato a Hemingway e alla Grande Guerra, la Ca Erizzo Luca e le Bellezze di Bassano valgono un viaggio! Complimenti eeee..Grazie.
