Description

My home is to be found in the sestiere di Cannaregio, very close to the Ca' d'Oro palace, in an extremely central, yet peaceful area. The palace where I live dates back to the 1700's and reflects characteristic Venetian taste: period furniture, damask materials, Venetian flooring and with a magnificent facade overlooking a typical Venetian canal, the Rio di Santa Sofia.

The B&B Al Palazzetto is situated at the end of Calle delle Vele, in the quiet Calle Corrente, not far from the Cà d'Oro, the splendid 15th-century palace overlooking the Grand Canal.

From this lovely bed & breakfast in Venice, many interesting and spectacular monuments can be reached on foot in a very short time, such as Piazza San Marco in 10 minutes and the Rialto Bridge in 5 minutes, as well as extremely suggestive places such as the ancient Jewish Ghetto and the Abbey of Mercy.

Overall the stay was okay. The room on the ground floor was very disappointing. Barred windows and the feeling of lying under the surface of the water. Visually bare and not comparable to the rooms in the photos. You can hear the rushing water from the toilet and shower upstairs. Very unfortunate. Davide was friendly, the breakfast adequate and the location very good.

The house is a bit old but still charming and it is very clean. The host is very accommodating and I can see the efforts he is putting in for his guests to have a pleasant stay. Breakfast is served and it is not just a simple breakfast but different breads, cereals, yogurts were served. I hope for this B&B to be fully booked everyday! 🙏🏻

Everything was excellent, the manager of this historic building, Davide, who lives in the structure, was very kind and very helpful. The breakfast also made a difference, abundant and with very fresh products served by the same manager who made us feel like family! We stayed in the very spacious ground-floor room for three! The bathroom could use a little refreshing but Davide's kindness and the beauty of the palace made up for the small flaws of an otherwise historic and beautiful building! We hope to return soon!

Davide was an excellent host. He showed us our room and how to use the keys. This is a very beautiful historic house and it is 800 years old. It is very close to all of the action but far enough away where it was very quiet and we slept well. The breakfast was fabulous and Davide was very kind and helpful with recommendations and directions. I would stay here again. Thank you Davide.

We had a very good time. The B&B Al Palazzetto is easy to find, about 15 minutes from S. Marco and 18 from the train station. Abundant and very good breakfast. Very comfortable bed and air conditioning in the room, which was very useful in this heat. The owner is very kind and helpful.

We got the room right at the entrance on the ground floor. It was very large and had a bathroom with shower and toilet. Also a TV, but we didn't use it. Unfortunately, the room wasn't as nice as the other bookable rooms, but cost just as much. In addition, one wakes up constantly when people enter the house and slam the front door and talk loudly, as well as when they walk around on the floor above us and use the toilet flush or run water. Unfortunately, many mosquitoes also come in through the windows, so they can never be opened, mosquito nets would be urgently recommended here. The breakfast is unfortunately only mediocre, there is salami and cheese every day, missing Italian ham or mozzarella, just some variety. The host is friendly but reserved. He kindly allowed us to leave the luggage in the house until the evening. Communication with him was good beforehand and we received quick responses. What was not good is that we had to pay 30€ more than what the app showed. He said he had mentioned it in a message, but it's only half true, it wasn't explained in good English, so you couldn't understand what he meant. Overall a mediocre stay with little sleep, we wouldn't book it again.

We stayed for three nights in a quadruple room. The structure is very beautiful in a quiet neighborhood and at the same time convenient to visit the city. Vaporetto stop a stone's throw away. Near the Rialto, convenient to shops and restaurants. The room is spacious and very clean. The breakfast is plentiful and very good, the manager is very kind. We thank you for the very pleasant stay. The house is wonderful, in Venetian style. Everything is perfect, we will definitely return.

My adult daughter and I loved our stay at B&B Al Palazzetto. Davide was a very accommodating host. The location was perfect - close enough to walk to Fondamente Nove for the vaporetto to Murano and Burano, close to many excellent restaurants, away from but close enough to the crowded streets, and close to the vaporettos down the Grand Canal to sightsee, catch the train or go to the airport (even with excessive luggage!). The breakfasts were delicious and served in a beautiful dining room. We stayed in 2 different spacious rooms during our stay - we loved the antique furniture and layout. And all for a very reasonable price. We highly recommend a stay at Davide's B&B.

Davide is an exceptional host, always courteous and helpful, ready to give advice on the city and have a chat. His B&B Al Palazzetto is very comfortable, in a spectacular location, in the heart of Cannaregio, a stone's throw from Strada Nova, full of shops and restaurants, and a few minutes from Rialto and Piazzale Roma. The breakfast is excellent and very rich, croissants and hot sandwiches are the best! We will definitely come back, highly recommended!

I must say that the location is perfect for those who want to stay in Venice and be close to everything. Located in a quiet area, in an ancient building in Venice. The owner was very kind, explained to me how the holiday bonus worked, allowed me to leave my backpacks before entering the room and before leaving. The breakfast was plentiful, and the WIFI worked well. The room was simple and reminded me a lot of my grandmother's room, it was simply furnished, very clean, had its own private bathroom with towels and shower products, also had a wardrobe to put things, TV, and air conditioning. For a short stay, it was perfect.

Davide, the owner, is a very kind and helpful person who made us feel comfortable right from the start (which apparently is not too obvious for a person from Naples going to Venice). The area of the B&B Al Palazzetto is very central and also very quiet. We visited most of the attractions of Venice mainly on foot (we only used the water taxi for the islands, and the Fondamenta Nuove station is less than ten minutes away on foot). The breakfast was good and plentiful, with many choices (something that I have rarely found in the offers of other B&Bs). The room where I stayed was a double room and, although small, it was very cozy and equipped with air conditioning. If I were to return to Venice, I would definitely like to stay in this B&B again. As for the price, I honestly cannot give an opinion because I paid with vacation vouchers, but the price seems fair for what it offers, especially compared to the high costs of Venice. Another important thing: in my opinion, the best places to eat in Venice (which are few) are right in the vicinity of the B&B or in the Jewish quarter, which is a few minutes walk away. So, highly recommended area for food and shopping.

Friendly host, responsive and flexible for check-in and also the time of breakfast. The room was clean, bathroom was clean too. The location is 15 min walk from St. Mark's Square. We expected a bit bigger fridge for four persons and maybe one bottle of water inside, haha. Generally, it is recommended.

This was a great B&B in Venice, an easy walk from the Station. Davide was a very helpful host and breakfast was lovely. We considered it good value accommodation and charmingly decorated in a traditional style. One of our children said they felt like Royalty there was so much gold in the room. We had 3 children and our 2 rooms were close and worked very well. We would stay again!

We have just returned from this hotel after spending 2 nights in the rooftop room with terrace. The host Davide was so helpful before our stay and during with any questions we had. Our room was perfect and the rooftop terrace was lovely to sit outside and chill. Breakfast was continental style and lovely. If we were return to Venice we would love to stay here again.

As soon as we arrived, the very kind manager welcomed us immediately and handed us the keys to the room. The building, which from the outside looks like one of the many palaces in Venice, inside has well-kept rooms furnished in Venetian style, warm and comfortable. The typically Italian breakfast offers excellent warm croissants to be filled with hazelnut cream or jams. Perhaps it could be complemented with some homemade cake. We had a very good time, both inside the structure and to reach the main points of interest, excellent location! The prices are slightly lower than those of other consulted structures, without however giving up on the quality and courtesy of the manager.

It has been a perfect addition to my stay in Venice. The personal treatment has been exquisite. I am very grateful for picking me up at the vaporetto and accompanying me to the accommodation. A quiet, pleasant place. Spacious and bright room on the ground floor with a view of a canal. Breakfast on the first floor. Fresh bread and croissants every day. Ham, cheese, fruit salad, cereals, jam, honey. A 5-minute walk from Ca' d'oro stop, a 10-minute walk from Fondamenta nuova for Burano, Torcello. 2 minutes from Strada Nuova, but away from the tourist flow. In front of Rialto market accessible by ferry. A 10-minute walk from Rialto Bridge on one side, from the ghetto on the other, 25 minutes walk from the train station.

We were treated wonderfully, the room was very nice, spacious, and clean, with a view of the canal, and the breakfast was perfect. We felt at home.
