Description

A humble farmhouse from the last century, the building has been gradually renovated, temporarily becoming a small Franciscan community for hosting and finally the Bed & Breakfast "Al Cantico".

From the previous adaptation, the rustic house has retained, along with its name, the simplicity and attention to detail in the room furnishings and the warmth of hospitality.

Area hills

Numerous medieval towns, rich in charm and history are located within a radius of 30 km: Marostica, Bassano del Grappa, Cittadella, Asolo, Castelfranco Veneto...
Mason Vicentino is located 20 km from Vicenza, the city of the famous sixteenth-century architect Andrea Palladio, and it houses some of his major works: the famous villa La Rotonda, the Basilica and the Teatro Olimpico.
Continuing south for about 50 km we find Padua, famous for the Basilica dedicated to St. Antonio. The city hosts the Scrovegni Chapel with beautiful fourteenth-century frescoes by Giotto.
Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet is also the summer home of an important opera season at the famous arena, and Venice, which needs no introduction, are located about 90 km away.

All of these destinations can be reached by car, train or bus.

In the immediate vicinity of the house there are many paths that follow the incline of gently rolling hills. You walk through open meadows, olive groves and cherry orchards, vineyards, chestnut forests...For the more experienced, there is the possibility of horseback riding.
These hills also offer, for bicycle lovers, both mountain bike trails and quiet roads for racing bikes.
The Asiago plateau (30 km) extends to the north of Mason Vicentino, with well-known ski resorts in winter and pleasant, cool oases in summer. Throughout the year, the Asiago Plateau is the starting point for many excursions, many of which are true open-air museums, such as sites that were the scene of the First World War.
Also towards north, at the foot of Monte Grappa (20 km), theree are quick to reach take-off bases for lovers of free flight (paragliding and hang gliding).
About 90 km away, after the Valsugana, the magnificent scenery of the Dolomites opens up, since 2009 a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, the lovers of trekking and climbing will be spoilt for choice in selecting their routes that are of all lengths and difficulties.

Beautiful renovated rustic property, very clean. The owner is very kind, nothing to complain about. Only drawback: soundproofing is needed for the bathroom, because you can hear everything from the bedroom.

Nice countryside property but on the road, just outside town. Set in the greenery of a garden with large trees and accompanied by the summer song of cicadas. Apartment with a wooden-beamed ceiling and terracotta floor tiles, clean and welcoming. The owners, husband and wife, are cordial and helpful. Recommended.

We booked, enchanted by the beauty of the photos. The enchantment continued even after our arrival, despite the rainy days. Very comfortable beds, inviting and super clean spaces. From the window, an excellent observation point for birds: tits, blackbirds, woodpeckers... highly recommended for budding observers! The hosts were super helpful and we promised to return! PS: There is a craft ceramics workshop where the ceramic master offers her creations for sale, integrating them into the BB's decor (pendants, vases). Unique creations to take home! Rating 11! :) PPS: The BB is easily accessible by car and is a central point from where to move to visit Marostica, Bassano del Grappa, Vicenza with 15-20 minute travel times. From Bassano, there is the possibility of traveling by train to reach Venice and beyond. The spring landscapes amazed us - every inch of the territory is truly worth it!

Very positive experience. It is truly a beautiful house, very well renovated and furnished with taste. The "sun room," where we stayed, is spacious with a double bed equipped with a good mattress and a bathroom with a bathtub. The large window overlooking the garden is also very beautiful. The excellent thermal and acoustic insulation allows for restorative rest. We also really appreciated the breakfast, both for the quality and for the variety of products. Special praise for the coffee and for the cappuccino.

B&B immersed in the green hills of Veneto, between peace and relaxation for the eyes and spirit. The structure is very beautiful and finely furnished. The B&B is very nice, in an excellent location, very close to Marostica but in a very quiet area. The room is small but comfortable and has all the comforts. The bed is comfortable and the sheets are clean. The bathroom is also very clean. The only thing I would like to suggest is to remove some cobwebs (especially above the bathroom area) and to dust the table with the kettle. The room would really become impeccable.

Very beautiful furnishings with wood, ceramics, and dried flowers. Wonderful place surrounded by greenery and peace. In the morning you have breakfast while listening to background music along with the sound of cicadas. The croissants are really good, but you can choose to eat savory food along with seasonal fruits. The room is spacious, very comfortable just like the bed. You wake up and from the large window you enjoy the view of the garden of the structure as if you were looking at a painted work of art. The manager and his wife are attentive and caring hosts to the needs of the guests. Always smiling, they can advise you on what to see nearby. I highly recommend it if you want to break away from the routine and enjoy peace and tranquility.

The bathroom is a bit too small and the absence of a bidet is the only small flaw we found, which is however compensated by the comfort of the room. Excellent host, very calm and peaceful property. Rooms are very good. Breakfast is nice with sufficient choice and made to generate only a minimum of waste. The structure is immediately inviting as shown by the photos inserted here. We stayed two nights in the suite: cozy, warm, and romantic like the whole B&B Al Cantico, which, thanks to the attentions and care of the manager, becomes an enchanting and special place. The breakfast is plentiful, genuine, prepared with care, and rich in sweet treats that nourish the soul and spirit. The B&B is located a few kilometers from Vicenza, in a strategic area to reach its surroundings.

Really pleasant place. Surrounded by nature but also close to the centers of Marostica and Bassano. Clean, comfortable, and well-furnished. The owner is welcoming and caring, and also prepares excellent cakes for breakfast. What can I say, a charming little house.
