Description

The Posta B&B is located in the peaceful Venas di Cadore, in the heart of the Belluno Dolomites, at the foot of Mount Antelao in a green-rich area. The location is ideal for hiking and mountain biking enthusiasts, as the "Lunga Via delle Dolomiti" bike path passes right outside the property.

The structure offers comfortable rooms, all furnished in typical alpine style with wooden floors and equipped with a TV and private bathroom with shower. Guests can also enjoy the breakfast service, convenient private parking, bar, and billiards.

The Posta Apartments are located in Venas di Cadore, in the heart of the Dolomites, 20 minutes away from Cortina d'Ampezzo, between Mount Antelao and Pelmo, in a green-rich area, ideal for trekking and mountain biking enthusiasts. In fact, the beautiful Lunga Via delle Dolomiti bike path, which follows the route of the old railway from Calalzo to Dobbiaco, passes right next to it.

Furthermore, it is an excellent starting point for visiting the surrounding areas: the Messner Mountain Museum, Pieve di Cadore, Cibiana ("the village of Murals"), Auronzo-Misurina.

Venice is 140 km away.

The recently renovated house offers apartments and an attic, all furnished in wood and equipped with every comfort, with 2 bedrooms, a living room-kitchen, bathroom, and parking space. The ground floor apartment is equipped with disabled access.

Central location and reserved parking are the strengths of this establishment. The price is adequate and very convenient. The location allows for easy movements. The rooms are clean and tidied every day, which is a great thing, with towel changes. The bathroom is small, but sufficient for short stays and for those who move around a lot during the day. The room is comfortable. Ours had a nice front balcony. Perfect solution for visiting Cadore starting from an advantageous position.

The room was a bit dated and lacked a bidet, but very clean. Unfortunately, it was cold even though the radiator was on. The Bar Posta hotel is family-run and everyone is very friendly. The value for money is very good compared to the standards of that area. Also, the location is very good and convenient.

I stayed with my husband for three nights; normal and good breakfast. The bathroom is small and tight, and the walls of the room are super thin. Unfortunately, every evening we could hear the noises of the guests in the rooms next to ours, not to mention the TVs on. Good location for walks and excursions.

We had a great time. Mario, even though not informed beforehand due to my mistake, went out of his way to provide a suitable breakfast for my celiac daughter. If you feel like driving a bit, in a few hours you can also visit Austria. If I return to Cadore, I will definitely come back.

Our stay at the property was very relaxing, very clean, the room always clean and tidy, change of bath linen every day. The breakfast choices are excellent, the staff is kind and helpful, Mr. Giovanni, the owner of the property, knows how to welcome people! Not to mention the internal parking is very convenient! 20 minutes to Cortina by car, less than 1 minute on foot to the local grocery shop, the bus stop, great pizza bar, wonderful view from the property's garden. The host was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were super clean and all the linen and towels were replaced daily! \n\nThe only thing to improve would be to have a fridge and an electric kettle, some cups and cutlery for guests for example in the corridor (they could be shared by all rooms). \n\nThank you, we really enjoyed our stay and we are sure we will come back!

We were there on 19/20 September, what can I say about the manager Mr. Giovanni who was there waiting for us personally inviting us to join their private outdoor barbecue which unfortunately we had to give up due to urgent physical recovery from the journey of over 700 km made with a legendary 1975 Fiat 500, to be added only... goodbye!

Family-run guesthouse in a strategic location to visit all the most beautiful places in Cadore. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful. Don't be fooled by the entrance of Bar Posta: the rooms are very cute and spotlessly clean, mattresses and pillows better than at home.

PRO: Position in relation to the areas to visit (Lake of Cadore, San Vito, Cortina, Pieve, Cibiana), price, courtesy of the staff. CONS: The bathroom: the only thing separating the shower phone from the toilet and sink is a curtain, which however does not prevent the formation of puddles of water on the entire bathroom floor, despite the central drain. Essentially, after every shower, we found ourselves constantly with wet feet in the water, as not all of it flowed away. The (non) enforcement of anti-covid rules to any patrons: more than once, people entered without a mask or with the mask under the chin, without being told anything, while we kept it constantly on, except of course in the room and sitting at the table. Bed: they were two singles placed side by side with double bed sheets, therefore with a hollow in the middle; uncomfortable for a couple. Position on a very busy road and near a church with a bell tower that at 7 sharp played a great fanfare (but this obviously is not attributable to them). Overall, if the bathroom had a normal shower, everything would have been much nicer; it was really uncomfortable to wash and then stay with wet feet, unless using one of the towels as a mat on the still water.

Giovanni is a very friendly landlord. He even gave us a bottle of Prosecco. The apartment is spotlessly clean and newly renovated. The access to the mountain is a bit narrow. So preferably no wide car. We had added breakfast. Very affordable. (2.50 € per person). For this it was naturally simply Italian. 2 coffees, 2 cream buns, 1 croissant, butter, jam.

The only flaw is that it is located on the street, so the room is very noisy, you can hear every motorcycle, truck that passes by, in addition to the noises from other rooms. The structure is decent, unfortunately it is located on the provincial road to Cortina d'Ampezzo, so earplugs are needed to be able to sleep. The room is essential, clean and functional, the shower is great, the breakfast is abundant, and at the back there is a small terrace with a beautiful view of the Dolomites. The manager, Mr. Giovanni, is essential but functional.
