Description

You find yourself in a natural environment, with sports, art, and history, here at Baita Deona you will certainly find relaxation, hospitality, and excellent mountain cuisine!
The cabin, made of warm and welcoming larch wood, will make you feel like you are in an old "tabià", but with a modern architectural design that blends perfectly into the surrounding landscape, thanks to the large windows that bring it inside the structure as well. This is the result of our family of loggers' commitment, tied for generations to this territory and especially to these woods.

The two large terraces overlooking the surrounding mountains will allow you to enjoy the sun in every season of the year. The bright windows on three sides will make you feel completely immersed in nature, while remaining warm by the fireplace that heats the spacious room.

The bar, with its homemade sweets, is the ideal place to start your day dedicated to exploring the surroundings. It is also the perfect place for a break after a day on the ski slopes or returning from your adventures, with snacks and quick dishes. Alternatively, you can taste typical dishes from the area at our restaurant.

Home-made bread, butter and jam you'll find on your table as well as the typical cakes from the bakery patrire or buckwheat cake, yogurt and cereal to start the day with energy! A glass of fruit juice, a good cappuccino and on request also sliced ??eggs, or sausage!

Our cook Paola prepares each recipe strictly at home, with carefully selected locally sourced ingredients. On 24 December 2005 it was inaugurated where mother and daughters Paola e Giorgia collaborate. Since 2020 only Paola has beenworking and manages the structure with passion and dedication.

We stayed with our two little dogs, who were warmly welcomed as well. The chalet is special, in a unique location, with a spectacular view of the Sassolungo in Cibiana. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. We always feel great there, thank you!

In terms of value for money, the chalet is good. Friendly staff. Only one downside regarding the price of the water. Paying 3 euros for less than a liter (750ml) seemed excessive to me.

A B and B located in an idyllic and quiet place with a magnificent view of the mountains. Warm welcome. The only downside was the lack of water in the evening when we arrived, as well as on Saturday evening. Very good food.

I stayed only one day for a visit of the amazing MMM Dolomites Museum from Reinhold Messner. The hotel has a good position for doing this. The staff is very friendly and the service is good. I would recommend!

Situated in a spectacular location with a stunning view of Sasso lungo di Cibiana, Sfornioi nord and much more, it has large windows to eat right in front of this enchantment. The structure is very well-kept, the breakfast is varied, with homemade pastries, savory dishes, and also fresh fruit and eggs. The cold cuts and typical mountain dishes are excellent. The atmosphere is welcoming as is the owner, and the staff is always very kind.

The accommodation is overall very good. The location is ideal for hiking. We were able to park our car there for several days even though we only spent one night there. Unfortunately, the dinner was not so good. The potatoes were very hard and while eating, a tooth broke. However, dinner was not part of the booked service.

Baita with recently built or renovated rooms. Spectacular location in a natural amphitheater of great beauty. Super quiet environment due to car traffic, a bit of back and forth during lunch hours but pleasant. Rooms and bathrooms are new, of more than good quality considering that it is a baita, not a hotel. The catering is also more than good. The staff is kind and helpful. The quality-price ratio is more than interesting. The only small observation is that the Wi-Fi, which is excellent otherwise, does not reach some rooms, and in the same rooms, the phone signal is also absent. Ultimately, this is a highly recommended choice for a very peaceful short stay in the middle of nature.

Warm welcome and special attention given to our little dog. Room with a mountain atmosphere, clean, comfortable, quiet with a breathtaking view of the mountains. We ate at the hotel restaurant with a menu of local products, we dined on the terrace overlooking the valley. Very pleasant service with friendly and much appreciated exchanges. Abundant breakfast. We stayed at Baita Deona for two nights. Located at Passo Cibiana, with recently renovated rooms and a truly spectacular view of Sassolungo di Cibiana, with a relaxing area under a beautiful pergola. Strategically positioned with trails starting directly from the property. Ample and convenient parking. We also had a very good dinner, simple mountain food. The only flaw, breakfast. At least that's how it happened to us. Very poor and all single-portion. Nothing homemade. For those going hiking, I would say little, too little. Requesting something savory, like eggs, for example, seemed to be annoying. We had to stop at a bakery to complete breakfast. Apart from breakfast, we had a wonderful time in the area.

This structure is really in a beautiful location. Dining on the terrace with the mountains in front I think is a plus. The breakfast is decent, I was hoping for strudel and buckwheat cake, but they were not served. A small piece of advice for the management: dialogue with customers is essential, especially when someone asks for advice on where to go for a walk, especially if they don't know the place.

Baita Deona is very beautiful, secluded and panoramic, located right on the pass but with little traffic. Beautiful rooms, although the wifi was not the best. Beautiful restaurant room, cozy, bright and well-kept. Food is average, I expected better for dinner. Minimal breakfast with croissants and yogurt, savory upon request. Excellent coffee and espresso cappuccino (nowadays hard to find in a hotel).

Spectacular view, but the rooms are not soundproof, you can hear all the noises from the next room. The breakfast is poor, lacks salty options completely, and the restaurant is also poor. The staff is kind and welcoming, although they do not provide any information on the various excursions or walks without being asked. There were many dogs (from various guests) even in the dining room and cats that not everyone likes.

Great place for those who love the tranquility of the mountains, with a spectacular view of the mountain range in the Cadore area around Cibiana. The female management is kind and offers good cuisine. They have a special care for those with dogs and they can also be brought to the dining area, if well-behaved of course. It is a good starting point for various walks, both on flat ground and at altitude, such as the Zoldano loop.

Cozy Baita Deona just like the kindness and availability of the hosts. Beautiful room with a spectacular view of a snowy mountain and extremely quiet and regenerating. Pleasant atmosphere also enhanced by the presence of a very cuddly tiger-striped cat who stayed close to us during breakfast, also enjoying a bit of yogurt and some pieces of croissant that were offered to him, enchanted by his emerald green eyes. Relaxing moments in a comfortable and well-kept environment.

The structure is very nice in an ideal location for excursions, not particularly quiet (annoying noises during the night and early morning); the bathroom is comfortable and very large; the à la carte restaurant is excellent and the staff is very kind, the breakfast is basic, only sweet, but more than enough. It's a shame that the little dog is allowed to do its business freely on the terrace in front of the rooms, not ideal for those who sleep with the window open, but then again, it's his home...

Excellent facility for those looking for a breathtaking view, tranquility, and the need to recharge the energy lost from daily work stress. The room is spacious and clean, the owner of Baita Deona is very welcoming and helpful. One morning she advanced breakfast, which normally takes place at 8:00, to 7:00 because we told her we wanted to go on an excursion to Lake Sorapis. She advised us to leave early and made herself available to serve breakfast at 7:00. A person to say the least exquisite.

The Baita Deona is located in a charming place, with a magnificent view. The rooms are very cozy and spotless. Perhaps the terrace with a view should be taken care of more, so it would become the perfect place for a holiday in complete relaxation immersed in nature.

Excellent B&B. We took the half-board option with evening dinner. The dinner was different each night, tasty and with an excellent salad. The location of Baita Deona is perfect for hiking or driving to visit places in the spectacular Dolomites. The view from our bedroom was also spectacular.

Perfect structure, beautiful rooms, extremely clean and warm, with a fabulous mountain view. Very kind staff and excellent food. Large dog accepted easily. Possibility to rent snowshoes. Enchanting surroundings. We will definitely come back, even in other seasons.

A weekend in the middle of the woods, superb location, very nice and comfortable rooms, excellent dinner especially first courses and desserts, excellent varied and abundant Italian breakfast with bread and desserts cooked on site. Experience to be repeated. Recommended.

We stayed four nights in this beautiful lodge and it can be said that it is 'a step away from heaven,' at night the sky and the stars are like a Giotto painting. The view of the Dolomites from the room and the balcony is stunning, the room is very nice, with wooden furnishings, the bathroom is clean and adequate. Ms. Maria Giovanna was very kind and friendly. The breakfast is abundant and delicious. We also had dinner at the lodge, they offer good traditional dishes, thanks to the cook (the daughter). We will return.

We spent two nights in this beautiful Baita Deona at 1500 meters altitude. The room is very nice, with wooden furniture and a clean and adequate bathroom. The staff was kind and friendly. The breakfast is abundant and delicious. We also had dinner in the facility and they offer good traditional dishes at the right price. The view is breathtaking, with all the surrounding mountains and forest, and at night you can see hundreds of stars. Highly recommended.

An excellent structure surrounded by a postcard landscape! I had a great time with excellent cuisine, and Paola, the owner, is fantastic. The breakfast is amazing. I absolutely recommend it. Thank you for the magnificent experience.
