Description

The accommodation is both comfortable and elegant, set in a traditional Venetian house, that breaths the beauty of the Grand Canal, just two steps towards the Traghetto de La Madonetta.

The rooms are bright and face towards a green, silent, private cort.

All of the rooms are furnished in a functional manor, with a gentle balance between the antique and the modern (in the bedroom, bathroom and the spacious kitchen where breakfast is served).

This is my home but I converted it into a B&B when my three daughters had left home to live abroad. I’ve named it B&B la Madonetta after the little street that leads up to the house.

I hope you will enjoy the cosy and familiar atmosphere: having breakfast in our spacious kitchen, reading or relaxing in our court or leaving room, you will be able to rest in the quiet and comfortable bedroom.

I was a teacher at the primary school and I gladly welcome families with children. I love to entertain my guests suggesting them tailored and unusual itinerary around the city to discover the history and authentic Venetian life.

Since the house is located very close to the Rialto’s bridge, the heart of the city, it won’t be difficult to find your way through the typical Venetian calli and campielli.

I look forward to welcoming you as our guest.

My daughters and I stayed at the B&B La Madonetta for two days. It is an understatement to call it a bed and breakfast: it really feels like home. You get there by leaving behind the way to Rialto and turning into a small alley. You arrive at an iron gate and from there to a small secret garden, winter cradle - among other things - of a rose garden and the newly arrived red maple. The rooms are spacious, warm, welcoming, and silent, even though as you turn the corner, you find yourself in the midst of the liveliness of people, local places, and enticing scents that lead to Rialto first and San Marco later. The location of this house is enviable, convenient for everything. I didn't meet Mrs. Maria, but she followed us discreetly from a distance and was punctual in responding to our questions. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! In fact, if I were to return to Venice, I wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

I stayed in this bnb during the Carnival period. The apartment is located in the San Polo district, lively but also quiet and safe. It is a stone's throw from the Rialto Bridge, so very convenient for walking around Venice without taking public transport. I stayed in a beautiful, spacious and bright double room, with an external private bathroom that was also spacious and very clean. Mrs. Maria prepared breakfast every day at the time the guest desired, with fresh bread, milk, tea, coffee, jams, yogurt, and sometimes with delicious homemade cakes. She is a discreet, kind person who is always attentive to any needs. Everyone has their own keys so they can enter and exit at any time. I highly recommend this bnb; I felt pampered and at home. Surely, if I come back to Venice to sleep, I would like to come back here.

Apartment in a typical ancient palace in Venice, overlooking the lagoon, central and quiet location just steps from the vaporetto stop. Beautiful room, excellent cleanliness, breakfast with silver cutlery in a beautiful dining room, atmosphere of other times. The only flaw is that the private bathroom is in the corridor, but I would return. I recommend it, excellent value for money!

We really liked Maria's accommodation and I can recommend it without reservation. We stayed in her triple room with an attached bathroom. The double bed is very comfortable and the extra bed is slightly shorter and harder. It's fantastic to reside in the heart of San Marco with a real and very friendly Venetian. Maria's B&B is quietly located on a side street on the 2nd floor. From there, all the sights are within walking distance or the vaporetto stop is just around the corner. The breakfast is very rich, varied, and delicious and was served to us in the beautiful living room. The WiFi works perfectly. We were given a key and could come and go at any time. Thank you dear Maria for an unforgettable weekend in beautiful Venice!

The room was excellent, but without a TV which was not important to me. If I have to find a negative aspect, I have to say that the bathroom is outside the room and not very close, you have to cross the corridor to get there, but very clean and spacious. For me it's worth going back because the location is very good and the value for money is unbeatable.

Pleasant stay, great breakfast, although some salty elements could have been added. Due to a misunderstanding regarding the availability of the room we booked, the owner offered us a complimentary stay, providing us with a decent and clean accommodation nonetheless. The structure itself is an apartment, so a rather informal environment, which suited us perfectly, but I would not recommend it for people seeking absolute privacy. The location turned out to be the real highlight, being practically close to the Rialto vaporetto and in general to all major attractions.

Struttura tipica veneziana che si affaccia su uno dei tanti canaletti lagunari, il gestore è una persona squisita e ti mette a proprio agio. La camera è spaziosa con bagno interno ed ha tutti gli accessori per un confortevole pernottamento. Cucina a disposizione per la colazione che è abbondante e variegata, soggiorno con TV e musico-diffusione. Qualità-prezzo interessante.

B&B scoperto per caso, ottimo, centralissimo, a pochi passi da Rialto. La signora Maria nonché la titolare è una persona cordiale e molto accogliente. Camera molto grande con bagno privato il tutto molto pulito. Anche la colazione molto buona e preparata al momento. Che dire: consigliatissimo da tornarci presto!

Ce gîte est exceptionnel, la charmante propriétaire Maria est très disponible et attentionnée. Notre chambre était grande, confortable et très bien équipée. Nous nous sommes sentis en sécurité dès notre arrivée. Ce gîte est bien situé, à quelques minutes d'une station de vaporetto et du pont Rialto. Posizione ottima, a pochi minuti dal ponte di Rialto, strategica per girare in centro. Il sestriere San Polo è tranquillo e interessante. La casa è molto accogliente come la sua proprietaria, signora Maria. Buonissima la colazione con crostata è pane fatti in casa. Siamo state veramente bene, lo consigliamo. Alessandra e Miriam.

We stayed in this wonderful B&B for 1 day during the Venice carnival. The location is perfect and just a couple of minutes away from the all the important places. The apartment is clean and well furnished and the area is very peaceful. Maria, our host, was extremely helpful and very sweet who would always greet us with a warm smile. Eine wunderbare Unterkunft. Ich habe mich von der ersten Minute an sehr wohl gefühlt. Signora Maria ist sehr freundlich und die Atmosphäre ist herzlich und vertrauensvoll. Il soggiorno a Venezia è stato reso speciale anche dall'alloggio. La casa curata nei dettagli, tipica veneziana. Camera spaziosa, pulita e con affaccio sulla laguna. Bellissimo svegliarsi al mattino e sentire le gondole che passano sotto la finestra. La colazione ottima preparata dalla Signora Maria con molta cura. Lo consiglierei senza alcun dubbio.

Posizione centralissima. 20 minuti a piedi puoi raggiungere tutti i siti di interesse storico-artistico. Appartamento ben tenuto e colazione non eccessiva con dolce e salato, frutta e un buonissimo pane fatto in casa. La signora Maria è stata gentilissima e cordiale. Ci ha fatto sentire come a casa sua dandoci piena libertà e accontentandoci in ogni cosa.

Signorile casa veneziana, curata nei dettagli da una padrona di casa attenta e meticolosa. La stanza tripla che ci è stata data era molto spaziosa: il letto matrimoniale era king size e vi abbiamo dormito comodamente in tre (due adulti e una bambina di 2 anni); il letto aggiunto era una brandina molto comoda. Il bagno, non in camera ma solo a noi riservato, era grande e pulito. A colazione abbiamo trovato torta e pane fatto in casa, marmellate buonissime, croissant mignon riscaldati e una tavola apparecchiata con cura ed eleganza. Il B&B dista 5/10 minuti a piedi da Rialto e pochissimo dalla fermata San Silvestro del vaporetto sul Canal Grande. Lo sceglierei sicuramente se dovessi tornare a Venezia.

I would stay here again! Beautiful apartment, extremely well located. Maria is a lovely host. I had a single room which was bright and airy. I shared the bathroom with Maria and that was fine, as well. The only major drawback is actually finding the flat. There are no signs saying that this is a B&B, nothing on the gate or the door to her flat. It is like staying in a private home, which is lovely and once you find it, its easy enough to wander about.

Delicious breakfast! Initially, it was really difficult to find the property. Maria tried to help us and actually sat waiting for us is a piazza for 1 1/2 hours. But, once we got our bearings it was easy to navigate around Venice.
