La Casetta is a quiet and solitary place, located on the Caorame River, at the end of Val Canzoi. It is in the foothills of the Dolomites, specifically the Dolomiti Bellunesi.
La Casetta is a unique and special place perfect for those who love nature and sports. There is kayaking and fishing in the Caorame river (just 20 meters from the house). The area is fantastic for mountain biking, and especially for road biking. All of the most beautiful destinations of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park can be visited in a day. The top of Mount Avena, known for the ‘take-off’ point of hang gliding and paragliding, is less than a half hour by car.
La Casetta is a perfect destination for families who want to spend a long vacation near nature. The fields, trees and rivers are a playground for children’s games and imaginations also creating a relaxing environment for parents. The fully equipped kitchen is available for guests, allowing for a practical and independent vacation.
Feltre, the main town of the area, is 10 minutes by car. The renaissance town is fascinating, surrounded and protected by a wall and sitting on top of a hill.
In Feltre, there are three important museums: the Civic Museum, Carlo Rizzarda Gallery and Diocesean Museum.
From La Casetta you can be in the Civetta, Primiero or Nevegal ski areas in one hour.

Christian was born in Feltre in 1975. La Casetta was the childhood home of his grandmother. He spent lots of time with his grandparents at the house during his childhood. It was always his dream to reopen the house (uninhabited for 50 years) and allow other people to appreciate its beauty. At the age of 30, after the house had been uninhabited for 50 years, he moved into la Casetta. He began the renovation and the project is now a reality, continually fueled by dreams.
Amy was born in Ohio, USA in 1974. After graduation she moved to Bishop, California to pursue her passions of rock-climbing and other mountain sports. These passions took Amy to the Alps, which she explored with great enthusiasm. Shortly after this, she decided to move to the Dolomites.
Our daughter, Katerina, was born in July 2013.
