Description

Cooking, and offering hospitality, is like telling a story. Ours has its roots in the time when Velo Veronese was the ancient capital of the 13 Cimbri Municipalities, in the Lessinia mountains. Our great-grandparents started what our grandparents and parents left to us. We feel that we are the heirs of this history, of this land, of its people, and of its traditions.

This structure was renovated in 2021 and comprises 5 brand-new, spacious, 45-sq. meter apartments, each with a large bedroom, a very generous bathroom with shower, and a living area with a sofa bed with double comfort mattress, all warmed by the beauty of local larch wood.

The kitchens include a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and induction hob.

The apartments are fully outfitted with linens and towels, courtesy sets, well-equipped kitchen, cooking utensils, plates, pots, coffee maker, etc.

Our restaurant is, without question, a destination for those interested in wine and food. The commitment that we have been carrying out for years with the dishes on our menu is to highlight the value of the land that hosts us, using as many products as possible from small Lessinia producers.

We will welcome you in the restaurant with a rich and substantial breakfast, sweet or savoury.

Do not miss our homemade cakes, salami and organic eggs from Velo Veronese, the artisanal jams of heirloom fruits from Lessina, fruit, yoghurt and cereals.

We like to satisfy the needs of our guests to make them feel at ease during in this pleasant moment.

The commitment we have been pursuing for years with the dishes we offer in our restaurant is to give value to the land that hosts us, using many products as possible from small farms in Lessinia.

Thanks to Giovanni's cooking, the restaurant has become an important gastronomic destination for those who love authentic cuisine and local products. In 2018 we also expanded our wine list with the creation of a new wine shop that “hosts” more than 100 labels. My choice for wines is always oriented towards small producers who work with natural methods.

If you stay overnight with us, you will not be tied to a fixed price of full board or half board, but you can book your table with an à la carte menu whenever you want.

I am Elisa. My family has been involved in hospitality for four generations. My father’s grandparents began the activity, then my grandmother Lisetta continued with a few rooms and the trattoria. My father Luigi and my mother Luciana built and renovated the largest part of our hotel and now my husband Giovanni and I carry on the initiatives of my parents with satisfaction. Thanks to Giovanni's cuisine, the restaurant has become an important gastronomic destination for those who love authentic cuisine and local products. In 2018 we also expanded our wine offerings with the creation of a new wine shop that "hosts" more than 100 labels. My choice is always oriented towards small producers who work with natural methods.

I like to remember my history, and for this reason our new apartments bear the names of our grandmothers: Lisetta, Delfina, Rosa, Clotilde and..Luciana, my mother and Nina's grandmother.

My father loves working with wood, and thanks to his creativity the apartments are also furnished with his works.

I like to valorize artisans and those who work with skilled hands; the apartments reflect this.

I stayed on October 4-5 at the Albergo Ristorante 13 Comuni in Velo Veronese. The warm welcome from Mrs. Elisa and her staff was excellent: I felt like entering friends' home rather than a hotel! I did not expect a room/suite like that: full of care and love for every detail, with a discreet but enveloping scent imbued with the flavor of the wood with which it was furnished. A great sense of space given by generous yet intimate areas, including the splendid bathroom. The family's history continues through the names of the grandmothers assigned to each room. I do not reveal the rest of this property because it should be discovered by those interested by staying there. The breakfast is so delicious: exquisite flavors resulting from research and collaboration with the surrounding territory, all oriented toward a genuine all-round organic approach! I was fortunate to taste chef Giovanni's cuisine: a spectacle for the eyes, for the palate and for the passion you find in every dish. Compliments to the whole staff, made of smiling, professional young people, always kind and even more patient. This property, 13 Comuni, this village, Velo Veronese, and this territory, the Lessinia, were unknown to me but they were a wonderful surprise. I do not want to repeat trite phrases but I feel I will return with great, great joy! Dear Giovanni and Elisa, I embrace you with gratitude and in this I include all your staff.

Great hotel with an excellent restaurant. The host is very welcoming and helpful. The apartment interior was very new and seems recently renovated. The furniture is of high quality. The restaurant has been on the Michelin recommended list for many years. You can reach it without a car, but it's difficult.

Great choice. The spaces are very well kept and clean. Spacious, with everything you need to prepare your own meals, but it would be a shame not to take advantage of the restaurant's high quality.

The structure has been recently renewed with elegance, design and attention to local craftsmanship. The Rosa apartment is spacious, bright and functional. The kitchen and bathroom have everything you need. You can also book massages in the room. It is possible to have breakfast, lunch and dinner on site. We tried dinner and really appreciated the special dishes with local and zero kilometer products. The managers were very helpful and kind, and their commitment to sustainability and enhancing the territory is admirable. The area offers the opportunity for walks and museum visits, and the structure provides materials and information. Dogs are also welcome in the restaurant, an added value. We had a really good time.
