Description

Villa dei Cedri is located 5 minutes away from the Historic Center of Foligno, the Gonzaga Barracks, the train station, the San Giovanni Battista Hospital, the Villa Aurora Clinic, the Paternesi Sports Palace and the Le Lame Equestrian Center.

For those arriving by public transport, shuttle service is included in the price.

It is situated in a small village near the Sagrantino Road, the famous red wine cultivated in the vineyards that descend from the hills of Montefalco to the valley of Bevagna.

30 meters away is the small square with the church, bar, bakery, hairdresser and bus stop.

It has been completely renovated recently with seismic adaptation. The owners have reserved the ancient cellars on the ground floor as their residence, dedicating the noble floor to the activity of a guesthouse.

It has been included in the Umbria Bike Hotel guides as it is in a strategic position for cycling routes that connect Spoleto-Assisi and for the route that leads to Bevagna, at times following the sagrantino vineyards.

For this reason, an agreement has been made with a regional hiking guide and with the Eu Paxis physiotherapy center.

The horse that appears in the photo has competed in many show jumping competitions, lives in the stable adjacent to the villa, where there is also a small riding school next to the private parking.

The daughter of the owners is a Federal Equestrian Instructor and is also passionate about climbing, and for those who wish, she can provide information and suggestions on the bolted cliffs in the area (Pale-Ferentillo).

For art lovers, these areas are the homeland of painters such as: Il Perugino, Il Pinturicchio, Gentile da Fabriano, Benozzo Gozzoli, Niccolò il Liberatore called l'Alunno and many others, and also pilgrimage destinations such as the San Francesco route.

Assisi is only 20 km away.

We stayed with two couples of friends and we all had a great time, the rooms are very beautiful, well-kept, as in the photos, excellent cleanliness, comfortable beds, quiet environment. The landlady Francesca immediately puts you at ease, caring and attentive to the needs of the guests, she indicated a delightful place to have dinner, much appreciated. We also enjoyed the breakfast, abundant and with fresh products. We only stayed one night but it would have been nice to stay longer as from the location you can reach several villages. Upon Francesca's advice, we visited Montefalco and especially the San Francesco museum, truly beautiful and worth visiting, then Bevagna, equally beautiful village. What can I say... Highly recommended B&B.

I found a charming place, beautifully furnished rooms, very romantic, especially very clean, just outside Foligno. I did not believe I would find such an essential place. Clean, comfortable, well-documented mattresses, top-notch hospitality. An elegant atmosphere, beyond any tension. Above my expectations and an optimal location to reach all the tourist spots.
