Description

Le Cisterne B&B and holiday home is located in the main square of the historic center of Amelia, a characteristic medieval village, which can be visited entirely on foot.

Below us the ancient Roman cisterns.

Inside, a small hanging garden overlooking the square, ideal for summer breakfasts.

For our guests an independent accommodation consisting of two rooms with bathroom and a shared equipped kitchen (6/8 beds). Parking under the house and wi-fi.

My name is Silvia, I'm from Turin and I chose Umbria to live.

Part of our house has become a bed and breakfast that I manage with my two children, Alice and Giovanni.

I'm a teacher of literature in the school for teenagers. I like to sing, play, do-it-yourself and attention to details. We have 2 cats, two turtles and many friends all over the world.

Amelia, located in the southern part of the Umbria region, is one of the most ancient hilltop towns.
Its pre-roman origins are attested by the 'cyclopic' walls which still surround the town today.
At a short driving distance, you can find places like Orvieto, Terni, the Marmore's Fall, Perugia, Todi, Narni, Spoleto and Pienza.
Rome is about 1 hour away by car or by train and Florence about 2 hours.

Warm and friendly welcome, we felt at home. Everything was very clean. Quadruple room with all amenities, only the bathroom was a bit small.

In a wonderful village, the structure is located in a central position and is truly very charming. The staff is friendly and smiling. I recommend it because I would definitely return myself.

From Silvia we felt welcomed and pampered! Superb in everything! We were even invited for a dinner that we really didn't expect! The B&B is fantastic, perfect in every aspect and I have promised myself to return as soon as possible! Excellent host, I recommend it to all those who, besides visiting fantastic places, appreciate the human relationship that can be created during a trip by meeting people like her! Silvia is very friendly and we felt very welcome. We stayed there for 1 night and found it a pleasant stay. The room is large and comfortable. The bathroom also had everything needed. It got a little cooler outside and it was pleasantly warm inside. There is a communal kitchen where there are some drinks and little snacks provided.

Hospitality like in a family. It is not just a bed and breakfast but you are welcomed into Mrs. Silvia's home as old friends. You can share everything in her home: the kitchen, the living room, the garden, her very sweet dogs and cats, stories and tales, and if you want, you can have dinner together with the guests and the family. The house is right in the center of Amelia in front of the entrance to the Roman Cisterns. The India room is large with a nice bathroom and very quiet. Breakfast is self-service, meaning everything is available to prepare it yourself in the kitchen.

Absolutely nothing negative about this Bed and Breakfast, the free parking is just a few steps away with an elevator that allows you to easily reach the top of the village where the structure is located. The feeling is that of being guests at friends' home; books, guitar, and small kitchen always available. A special thanks goes to the owner's daughter who prepared an excellent tiramisu for breakfast! Additionally, for animal lovers, there are three small furry surprises waiting for you at the entrance ready to purr and cheer you up after a tiring day among the climbs of the villages. Even though you can't let them in, you can still give them a scratch before returning to your room! The rooms are nice and spacious, furnished in ethnic style with towels, extra blanket, and pillow always available. A place to keep in mind when passing through Amelia.
