Description

Immersed in greenery and in a dominant position, overlooking Lake Trasimeno and surrounded by the beautiful Umbrian hills, the B&B Isole e Tramonti is a true paradise for nature and relaxation lovers.

The panoramic pool set among olive trees and stones, the garden enriched with flowers, the characteristic kitchenette for breakfasts and candlelit evenings, the beautiful and refined rooms, furnished in ethnic-country style (all with independent entrance and private bathroom), make the B&B Isole e Tramonti a charming place.

The name "Isole e Tramonti" comes from the view of the 3 islands: Polvese-Maggiore and Minore, which characterize Lake Trasimeno and from the splendid colors of the sunsets, which transform the landscape into an enchantment.

Quad, Bike, Vespa, Mountain Bike, Car rental (guided tours are available upon request).

In the summer period, for art lovers, painting exhibitions are organized.

Available to guests are barbecue and wood-fired oven for grilling and roasting meat and fish. We are also affiliated with restaurants and typical locations in the Lake Trasimeno and Perugia areas.

The Umbrian capital is only 18 km away and can be easily reached by driving on the E45 highway.

Magnificent setting, very pleasant, managed and maintained by friendly, attentive and responsible hosts. Many thanks again to Claudio who was very attentive towards his guests and thanks also to Sabrina. A special greeting also to our two 'bodyguards', Lady and Baileys. In short, an idyllic stay to repeat, if possible without hesitation.

We stayed at this property from June 15 to 19, 2025. From the very beginning, we were warmly welcomed by the owner Claudio. He then proved to be available to meet every need and curiosity, both he and his wife made us feel part of the family. Enchanting and quiet place surrounded by olive trees, with a view of Lake Trasimeno, where we were able to admire wonderful sunsets. We recommend it.

A wonderful B&B with a dream view of the lake right from the bed. We were warmly welcomed by Sabrina and Claudio and spent very nice days there. With over 30°, it was particularly enjoyable. A perfect location for visiting the lake islands and lakeside towns, and even further afield (but not far) to places such as Perugia and Orvieto. Start your day with a delicious and fulfilling breakfast with your host, Claudio. You may even see his dog, Bailey, sitting by the pool. Then the hard part – deciding what to select with the numerous activities and sight-seeing opportunities nearby. Claudio can provide excellent suggestions and even assist with reservations. But whatever your day's plan, be sure to be back in time to enjoy the glorious sunset over the lake.

Very friendly hosts. Lovingly furnished rooms with direct access to the well-kept garden with clean swimming pool. Very quiet. From the numerous seating areas in the garden, great view of the lake. Nearest restaurant easily reachable on foot in about 1 km. Very good restaurant at 2 km (San Feliciano), largely accessible by bike/walking path. For Italian standards, very good breakfast with bread, cold cuts, cheese, jam, yogurt, muesli, coffee machine, tea selection. Enclosed parking. Address not on every GPS, but can be found with google maps. Overall: wonderful vacation!

A Bed and Breakfast that feels like home! A corner of peace and serenity, immersed in nature, ideal for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The view you are fortunate to observe from the Bed and Breakfast is enchanting: the sight of the lake and its Islands is very suggestive, especially at sunset. The location is excellent as it allows you to reach the towns and villages around the lake quickly but it can also be a great accommodation to visit slightly more distant locations. The room we stayed in was equipped with all the comforts, clean and detailed. Mr. Claudio, the owner, is an extremely kind and helpful person, ready to welcome every request and provide suggestions. When booking the room at Isole e Tramonti, we imagined a beautiful place and a great opportunity to stay, even if only for one night. Upon arrival, to our greatest pleasure, one wonderful surprise followed another. The enchanting place, the well-kept structure with a magnificent garden adorned with olive trees and flowers, the pool, and above all, in front of us, the gleaming expanse of the lake, right where the sun sets among the silhouettes of the three islands. Entering the room, we realized that we also had a wonderful view of the lake there, as if the large window was a painted picture. Clean, tidy, welcoming with everything needed. Not to mention the friendly, amiable, and professional care of Claudio who did not let us miss anything, especially in the morning with a delicious breakfast and his fantastic cappuccino. Maximum seriousness in compliance with Covid regulations. Exquisite welcome also from Mrs. Sabrina. What more can we say? Don't miss this gem.

We were, my wife and I, in this corner of paradise last week. Saying everything perfect does not fully convey the idea of the week spent. Starting from the location, to the owners (Claudio and Sabrina), who with their simplicity make you feel not like customers, but an integral part of the life of the structure. From the breakfast, all rigorously with homemade products, to the spectacular sunset over the lake, passing through the relaxation of the pool. An ideal place for those who want to go running, or biking, with safe routes that frame the beautiful lake. And for those who want to visit fabulous places, there is only the embarrassment of choice. Trust me, reality surpasses the beauty of the photos on the website.

It's not a Bed and Breakfast, you go to find friends who treat you as a super welcome guest. Mr. Claudio and the splendid Mrs. Sabrina open the door of their villa with a view of the pool, islands, and sunsets included. What can I say? B&B in a strategic position to visit not only the cities and countless Umbrian villages but also Sienese and Aretine ones, reachable with short car trips. We appreciated the comfort of the room, the tranquility of the place, the garden and the pool, and enjoyed a splendid panorama, relaxing in the morning and enchanting at sunset. We found a well-kept service, with abundant breakfast, exquisite homemade bread and pastries, and on our return from our excursions a good coffee, always fresh water, or a draft beer available. Claudio and Sabrina were hospitable and always available, they advised us well on itineraries, places to discover, and restaurants where we always had a good dinner. We will recommend it.

Experience worth repeating, that of staying at Isole e Tramonti: you feel comfortable, welcome guests at friends' home, treated with courtesy and informality. The location is enviable, with a beautiful view of the lake, and it was a pleasure to simply stay by the pool, not being able to enjoy the pool itself due to unfavorable weather conditions. Claudio and Sabrina are caring managers, attentive to the needs of their guests: what is most appreciated about them is a very ecological, non-speculative life philosophy, and the proof is in the generosity of the treatment reserved for guests. They are also a source of useful information to better appreciate what their land offers. The airy and clean rooms more than meet the standards expected for a B&B, and the additional services (possibility to cook outdoors, reserved fridge, parking space) contribute to making the stay even more free and enjoyable. We had 4 wonderful days among the villages, cities, and Umbrian nature. The stay at the B&B Isole e Tramonti was the perfect frame for a perfect vacation. Unique hospitality and welcome. We stayed for four days at the 'Isole e Tramonti' property, my wife, my daughter, and my little dog. What can I say, stunning view overlooking Lake Trasimeno from our room. A pool surrounded by greenery at the complete disposal of the guests. Everything is taken care of in detail with an oriental touch that creates a special and very welcoming atmosphere. Claudio, the owner, is courteous, helpful, and very caring; he made us feel and treated us like family friends. Great location also for visiting the neighboring villages, each more charming than the other. It's one of those vacations where, when it's time to go home, you're sorry not only for the places but also for the people, in this case the owners who help make the vacation even more enjoyable for the human relationship that is created. We stayed at this property from 23 to 26 July 2016 and we had a great time. The location is very beautiful, the rooms are on the ground floor and each one has the entrance door to a beautiful garden among olive trees and plants surrounding the pool, all made even more scenic by the wonderful view directly on Lake Trasimeno. Our room was very nice and spacious, the breakfast plentiful and excellent. The owners Claudio and Sabrina are two really nice and hospitable people, ready to advise on places to visit without ever being intrusive. In short, if you are looking for a B&B in this area, do not hesitate to book at 'Isole e Tramonti' because when you return home, you will leave a piece of your heart there. We wanted to thank Claudio and Sabrina for making us feel at home, thanking them and complimenting them for the love they put into welcoming people to their home. We stayed for 2 nights at the end of September at the Isole e Tramonti property. Very beautiful location and view of Lake Trasimeno with exceptional sunsets (the name is not random). Claudio's (and Sabrina's) reception excellent, availability and courtesy just as good. The property has a very beautiful and inviting pool that the manager never fails to keep clean throughout the day, and a great beautiful garden for 'contemplative' use if needed. Large room (we chose the Polvese), comfortable and quiet with access to the always well-kept and abundant breakfast room. Highly recommended! For dinner, a special mention deserves the Osteria Rosso di Sera.

We stayed for two nights in this splendid B&B and we had a great time. The room we were given was really nice, cozy, and private. What can I say about the splendid view of the house overlooking the lake, with its dream pool? It is a pity we could not swim because the temperature was not suitable for swimming in the pool, but we plan to return in September, maybe we will succeed! Claudio and Sabrina are fantastic, excellent hosts. Oh and let us not forget their four-legged friends! Thank you for the wonderful vacation.

The B&B is located among the olive trees a bit on the hill with a splendid view of the lake. Claudio and his family welcomed us like old friends. The room was small but comfortable, functional, and tastefully decorated. The garden and the pool are very well maintained and are inviting even at night to watch the shooting stars. Ideal for those looking for a quiet place to feel at home.
