Description

"Il Granaio" is a guesthouse converted from an old barn located at the foot of the historic hill. You will stay in a place of absolute tranquility immersed in the countryside of the Seraphic city, just a few steps from Assisi and Santa Maria degli Angeli, which can be reached by your own car, by bus or on foot following the "Strada Mattonata" that will take you directly to the Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi.

"Il Granaio" has three rooms and offers various accommodation options: from independent rooms for single couples to connecting rooms for families or groups of friends. All rooms have a private bathroom, Wi-Fi, TV, heating or air conditioning, and a kitchenette with cooking facilities. Private and free indoor parking is available.

Rooms:
The "Lavender Room" and the "Sunflower Room" are spacious and bright air-conditioned rooms with a double or twin bed arrangement. They are furnished with modern lacquered furniture in lilac and yellow respectively and each has a comfortable private bathroom.

Both are equipped with a patio with a view of the city.

The "Olive Room" is large, bright, and air-conditioned, with a double bed and, on request, a comfortable single sofa bed. It is the ideal accommodation for a family of three or four people. It has a comfortable private bathroom.

Parents traveling with children under the age of two can request a crib at no additional cost. A child under the age of four can always sleep in the double bed with the parents at no additional cost.

All rooms are equipped with independently adjustable air conditioning or heating, linens and towels, hairdryer, and shower products.

Our breakfast is already inside the studio apartment, arranged in the kitchenette and is managed independently by the guest. It consists of various croissants, biscuits and toast, jams and butter, juices and yogurt, and a small selection of savory items such as crackers and various snacks; all packaged in single servings. Additionally, each room has a kettle with various teas and a coffee machine with all types of pods, from coffee, cappuccino, to decaf and barley, all available for use at any time of the day.

Santa Maria degli Angeli is 1 and a half km away and the San Francesco d'Assisi International Airport Umbria is just 13 km away.

This is a well-made property. It is in a strategic location to visit Assisi and its surroundings. It has private parking. Breakfast is self-prepared with the products provided and, in season, can be enjoyed with a beautiful view of Assisi. The selection of products could be improved and personalized. The lady who manages it is very kind.

A place with a splendid view over all of Assisi. Private fenced parking available. It is close to San Damiano and the Porziuncola in the Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels. The hostess, Mrs. Elisabetta, was very kind, friendly and helpful. Upon arrival she gave us a map and showed us the best way to explore Assisi. We thank you for your warm welcome, we recommend you to other pilgrims and hope to see you again soon. Greetings from Poland.

We had a great time, the quiet was fantastic, the lady welcomed us impeccably. During our stay, she made sure we didn't need any more linen or coffee pods. We felt pampered. It is very well located at the foot of Assisi, very close to the bus stop.

Modern, functional structure equipped with everything you might need, including parking. Well-equipped kitchen, breakfast with various options, very comfortable bathroom and shower, spacious air-conditioned room, TV, and Wi-Fi. The location is perfect, 100 m from the pedestrian ramp leading to the basilica of S. Francesco and 1 km from the center of S. Maria degli Angeli and the restaurant area. Wonderful view of Assisi from below.

Fabulous structure with many comforts at the foot of the spectacular Assisi. The room is beautiful, spacious, and tastefully furnished. The kitchenette is well equipped. The breakfast is not abundant, but more than that. The only downside is that there are a total of 4 rooms, all communicating with each other through a door, even if closed. However, one must pay maximum attention not to disturb the other guests, because the slightest noise can be heard. Overall, a fabulous structure in the center between Santa Maria degli Angeli and Assisi.

Everything was perfect. We will return as soon as possible. Elisabetta is a really kind and hospitable host. The tastefully furnished structure has a breathtaking view and is reachable from Assisi in a few minutes on foot. Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side. We found everything we needed to cook in the apartment (from dishes to spices and oil) and also, what is not to be taken for granted, several snacks for breakfast or a small snack. It's the first time this has happened to us, usually in apartments, you don't find any of this. Thank you very much.

Good morning, we stayed at Elisabetta, an excellent manager of Il Granaio Affittacamere. She was waiting for us and, although we knew Assisi well, she provided us with numerous tips on things to see and where to eat. We will definitely return to Elisabetta in spring-summer to better enjoy the place. The walk to reach the Basilica of San Francesco is unique: with a detour, you arrive at San Damiano, the Cathedral, and Santa Chiara without using the car.

The location is excellent, you can enjoy a splendid view of Assisi from the garden and the property is just a few steps from the bus stop that takes you to the city in five minutes, so you can do without moving by car. The rooms are very clean, well furnished, recently renovated, and well air-conditioned. The owner is always extremely courteous and helpful.

This property is absolutely beautiful. It is right between the train station and the top of the hill/old city. So you can catch a bus every day to and from where you need to go. As for the accommodation, we booked the entire place (all 3 rooms) for my family and we will definitely be staying here next time we are in Assisi. The property is super quiet, very clean. Each room is stocked with a full-size bathroom, kitchen, breakfast snacks/goodies/drinks. The outdoor area is also cozy with plenty of seating and tables. And the views are just wonderful. We had been traveling in Europe for 2 weeks at this point, and this rental was by far the most beautiful and tranquil place we stayed. Elisabetta was a saint! She gave us recommendations, gave my brother-in-law and mom a ride to the train station, always checked in and made sure we had everything we needed, and even went to get a high chair for my niece from the shed. She is absolutely so hospitable and gracious and we can't wait to come back. Thank you for everything!

Structure located in the center between Assisi and Santa Maria degli Angeli. In a point that is not only strategic, but also allows you to enjoy a magnificent view of Assisi. Silence and tranquility are other added values. The room is equipped with every comfort and the cleanliness is impeccable. Subjective tastes, I would prefer a breakfast with fresh and not industrial products. However, it remains a varied and abundant breakfast. Elisabetta is super very kind and provided us with all kinds of information. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay, it's a cozy place just a stone's throw from Assisi; Elisabetta is a fantastic and very sweet person; as soon as we arrived, she gave us and described a map from which she designed a route for us, indicating how and where, in a very simple and practical way, to best visit the city. If you need assistance, she promptly responds to your phone calls and any request for any need/emergency. What can we say about the interiors and exteriors of the building? The view from the house is spectacular; there is a large internal parking (with keys to open/close the gate); the outside area features olive trees and two small tables. The cleanliness is excellent. The room has all the possible amenities: - a very large wardrobe to store clothes and luggage - coffee machine with various types of pods - breakfast including pastries, plum-cake, yogurt, milk, fruit juice (in cartons), rusks, jams, crackers, tea bags, and packaged butter - kettle for making tea - microwave, and more - hairdryer. Definitely would recommend it to anyone.

Very recent and modern apartments in the furnishings with a well-equipped kitchenette and a dedicated outdoor area with tables and sun loungers from which in the evening in particular you can enjoy a beautiful view of Il Granaio Affittacamere. I would improve the type of mattress, in my opinion too soft. Overall excellent structure and excellent host.

We spent two days at Il Granaio Affittacamere. A very beautiful place, well-kept, very clean, and above all very comfortable. Its location, in fact, at the foot of Assisi and a few kilometers from some of the main Umbrian locations, make this B&B truly unique. The owner, Elisabetta, is very kind and caring towards her guests. Highly recommended for both passing travelers and those who want to have a relaxing holiday in the Umbrian countryside, among history, art, nature, and delicious food.

Everything is great, strategic location to visit Assisi even on foot, splendid view towards the Basilica of San Francesco, brand new and extremely clean rooms. The owner was very kind and gave us a lot of information to visit the city, you can see that she loves her job and does it with heart. I wouldn't change a comma of this place.
