Farmhouse Il Castello (classified with 5 sunflowers), is located in the heart of the Natural Park of Mount Subasio in an uncontaminated setting at 600 meters high.
In this landscape you can spend days of peace and relaxation in contact with nature.
Farmhouse Il Castello is a 13th century farmhouse, completely renovated, considered as a building of architectural, environmental and toponymic interest.
We offer hospitality in rooms on two separate buildings: the main building dating back to the thirteenth century with 6 rooms, and the other building that houses other 3 rooms.
All rooms are equipped with telephone, television and heating, and are served by private bathrooms. Two rooms are also equipped for the disabled with a splendid view of the valley in front.
At the Agriturismo Il Castello you can taste an excellent traditional Umbrian cuisine prepared by mother Nunzia with love and passion, using the products of our organic farm, such as oil, vegetables, legumes, spelled, truffles and fine Suffolk lambs selected from ARA of Perugia.

Since 1992, Patrizia and her family have been running Il Castello, since her grandfather Pietro embarked on this new activity.
It is now the sixth generation that takes care of the farm, producing with care and pride various legumes, oil, truffles and sheep, all strictly organic!

Great place very clean, it's like being at home. Exquisite, very polite and attentive staff to customer needs. The local food at zero km is delicious. The landlady was very nice. My son wanted to stay there. Even though it was a very windy day we had a great time. Thank you.

The structure was located in nature, but a bit difficult to reach (mountain and dark roads). The room was a bit small and lacked a mini fridge, which is very important in August. The bathroom with a shower without a tray and with a curtain directly next to the toilet, so after taking a shower, the floor was all flooded and it was impossible to use the bathroom. Very kind staff.

The structure, although a bit isolated, is very beautiful. It is located in a beautiful location with a unique panorama. Excellent for those who love silence and peace. Regarding the management, the people are truly exquisite (Mrs. Patrizia and her family members whom I still thank), of great professionalism and above all humanity, who came to our aid in the face of an unfortunate mishap we had during the trip to Spoleto, which forced us to return home a day earlier than planned.

Magnificent! Charming welcome by Patrizia, even though we arrived earlier than expected. The house is very clean and the rooms are very comfortable. Unfortunately, we had only booked one night... we will come back!

Very close to the center of Assisi, surrounded by a marvelous nature, welcoming owners and Jack, the mythical little dog, with an excellent leadership verve... for those who love animals, nature, tranquility, and simplicity, it's perfect, even my little Fiona was very happy (dog Fiona).

Family-run farmhouse and everyone is very kind. We had dinner at the property and everything was exquisite as the dishes were carefully prepared with raw materials directly produced by their company! Both the exterior and interior are clean and well-maintained. Highly recommended!

Welcome and friendliness from the managers, first of all. A beautiful place on a hill with a view over a valley with lots of greenery, just a stone's throw from Assisi! Cleanliness, precision of the environments, even outside, simplicity without the pretense of wanting to be what it is not... in fact, it is a farmhouse and that's fine. We had a good time, a plentiful, varied and suitable breakfast for the type of structure. In the evening, we dined at the restaurant and were satisfied with the good, simple and homely cuisine, with an excellent value for money. When we return to that area, we will definitely go there.

A few minutes from Assisi but in a very quiet and relaxing location amidst the Umbrian hills. The structure is very nice and the owner Patrizia is very friendly and hospitable. There is also the possibility to have dinner at the property at a great price and with a simple but tasty cuisine made almost always using products from their garden or local ones… We will be back.

Very kind owners but for those who wish to visit the places of Umbria the location of the bed and breakfast is very inconvenient. The breakfast was not fantastic but the dinner with local dishes was very good. Unfortunately, the wifi did not work in these 3 days and the phone network did not work well. The water does not always arrive in a smooth and hot way.

Very beautiful, clean, well-managed structure, with professionalism, education, and availability. The location of the agriturismo is perfect both for visiting Assisi and neighboring areas, and for mountain trekking days. Dinner was very good and took place in a friendly and genuine atmosphere, thanks to the managers' skills. Overall, the structure is absolutely recommended for a completely relaxing holiday. We will definitely return in spring or summer.

Buongiorno, avevo scelto questa struttura in base alla posizione e prezzo ma sopratutto basandomi sulle recensioni fatte da precedenti ospiti. A mio modesto parere dopo esserci stato ritengo che molte delle recensioni fatte sono anche troppo poco modeste perché non danno il giusto valore al Castello. La struttura è molto bella, il posto meraviglioso e la cucina fantastica.
Assolutamente da non perdere la cena in azienda a base di loro prodotti cucinati con gusto e molta sapienza dalla proprietaria. La sig.ra Patrizia e la madre hanno una gentilezza nei confronti degli ospiti squisita e con molta discrezionalità. Ho comprato l'olio e altri prodotti della loro azienda, l'olio ha un gusto meraviglioso sulla bruschetta. Sicuramente da consigliare a tutti. Ci tornerò sicuramente.

Abbiamo soggiornato presso Il castello per la seconda volta e ne siamo sempre entusiasti. Bellissimo posto nel parco del Subasio, in mezzo agli ulivi. A pochi km dal centro di Assisi è un posto incantevole nella pace della natura. Camere confortevoli e pulite. Si è accolti dalla simpatica Patrizia che è sempre pronta a soddisfare ogni esigenza del cliente. La cena preparata da mamma Nunzia è ottima e abbondante e ogni sera ci fa assaggiare piatti tipici umbri. La colazione è varia e tipicamente casalinga. Consigliatissimo.

L'ideale per stare tranquilli e poi spostarsi nella vicina Assisi per visite di interesse religioso.
Ideale anche per chi possiede un animale domestico che si troverà perfettamente a suo agio.
