C’era una volta... is a B&B nestled in the green hills UMBRE, opposite the ancient walls of Perugia, and then starting point privileged to visit the city.
The construction, shape and materials used (brick and stone tiles), is the typical rural house umbra, and to accentuate our surrounding environment we are adopting a system for self-generate energy
Guests can stay in an apartment located on the second floor, recently renovated with all the comforts.
The elements dear to tradition, such as mobile grandmother, wooden beams, and a series of old agricultural tools that make backdrop to the whole house.
A large porch surrounds the structure here you possibility of lying on a hammock listening to the chirping of birds or if you are Early Bird singing the rooster.
If you feel more immersed sports you can stroll in the woods for the collection of products, or simply doing an overview walk on bikes.

Our property is situated in open countryside, but we are only 3 km from the city center. We are reachable from the nearby highway, from where you can go to visit cities such as Assisi, Spoleto, etc. . At about 15 km we have our airport Sant Egidio, while we are just about 12 km away from the station. Perugia is a medieval town rich in monuments, and its hilly conformation allows you to enjoy the spectacular views. To help you visit will provide a little guide to have such an overview of the most interesting villages with attached museum schedules and the various events taking place. If you wish we can arrange trekking, horseback, with donkeys, rent bikes for cycling, or let you know our views in a jeep.

Located just outside Perugia, this Bed & Breakfast is located on the upper floor of the family's home that manages it. To get there, you have to travel a particularly uphill stretch, but it's absolutely worth it: the view is phenomenal, the house is beautiful, and the guest floor is equipped with everything you need to spend days in relaxation just a stone's throw from beautiful Perugia. Mr. Pierini is very kind and helpful, as well as the rest of the family. We will definitely return!

First time I came, getting there is not very intuitive even if you rely on a navigator, that's why the owner sent me all the necessary directions on the phone. Pleasant structure, surrounded by greenery and quiet, friendly owners and impeccable cleanliness. In the room, I also found a minibar and a coffee machine very useful.

We stayed 3 nights at the 'C'era una volta' property: a true oasis of peace! Close to the city of Perugia, but away from the chaos and traffic. The Bed and Breakfast is an excellent starting point to visit the wonders located a few kilometers away. Very careful attention to Covid-related regulations, including high tech sanitization and careful rules for the guests. The property is beautiful; a little over 2 km to old Perugia. Google's directions aren't perfect, so make sure you follow the owner's directions (which are perfect). If the property isn't "new", it sure looks it. It's truly lovely. Cozy structure located in the Umbrian countryside, a bit tricky to reach even following the provided directions. Excellent cleanliness, with ozone sanitization of the room and baggage disinfection with ultraviolet rays, guaranteeing high safety. Unfortunately, the breakfast is mainly composed of packaged products. The fresh bread and croissants served every morning in the kitchen are exceptions. Overall, it was a good experience, excellent hospitality but insufficient breakfast, I would have preferred it to include fresher and local products.

The location allows you to be in nature but with a real 10-minute drive plus 10 minutes walk you are right in the center. I tried to go up to the center from the escalator side and the time wasted is much, much more.\n\nBesides Perugia, we wanted to visit other villages and I must say that the location makes it easy to take the high-flow roads that allow you not to waste time in transfers.\n\nClean room. We had the smallest one which is indeed small but we knew it and for the amount requested it was excellent.\n\nOwner available and professional. It's the first time the owner sent me a map and guide of things to see plus recommended restaurants on my smartphone.\n\nWifi without problems.\n\nCons. One night the cock crowing I would have wanted to wring his neck, the other 2 nights instead we slept well.\nAbundant breakfast but without "particularities", for example in other B&Bs you find homemade jams but if compared to the cost it's perfect as it is.\nConclusions. If I were to return to Perugia, I would go back and highly recommend it.\nRoom tip: it has 2 rooms out of 5/6 with a view of Perugia, I recommend these.

Perfect! There are no other comments to add. The most important thing in a structure like 'C'era una volta' is the welcome you receive. When the spirit of welcome is perfect, everything else is ok. Perfect in every way.

Beautiful B&B, very clean, away from the chaos but very close to Perugia. Michele and Tiziana are truly hospitable and kind. The breakfast is excellent. We spent four really pleasant days, and even our seventeen-month-old daughter enjoyed all the comforts provided and the friendliness of the hosts! We will definitely return soon.

The structure is a beautiful villa just outside Perugia. A car is essential, but it is only 5 minutes from the Bugalaio gate. We were welcomed by Michele and Tiziana, who immediately advised us on a tourist tour of Perugia and gave us some tips on parking. The rooms were spotless, there was no noise during the night, and the breakfasts consisted of desserts, fresh or pre-packaged croissants, and more. Tiziana's torta al testo is delicious and allowed us to spend 3 memorable days. Highly recommended. A hug from Gabriele and Daniela.

We spent a weekend in tranquility in an excellent context with very affable and kind people who, at the time of our return, were also concerned for us due to the bad weather of the period. Excellent cleanliness, which I, being an allergic subject, usually have difficulty with. Good position, as you are not in chaos but five minutes from the center.
