Description

Belforte Castle is a XV century fortress situated on a small hill in the countryside at 3 km from the town of Todi. The Castle is surrounded by woods of oaks and holly oaks and it has a view on a beautiful and unique landscape.

The fortress has been built by the noble Todeschini family and it is located in the middle of a big plot of land and stands on the slope above the Arnata's creek.

The legend says that in the underground there is a long hidden tunnel, full of treasures, that goes from Belforte to the fortress called “La Torraccia” and to the so-called “Fiore Castle”.

The castle, severe and massive, was downsized over time and became a farmhouse owned by the Nuns Congregation of Charity of Todi.

From 1972 Belforte, largely restored, is a property of the Dominici family.

The five rooms with private facilities and the Breakfast Room (the “Convivium”) are the result of the able and careful renovation of the castle and guests can benefit of them:

Castle located in a quiet and fantastic place, surrounded by nature. The rooms are large and everything evokes the medieval age. The only downside: unfortunately you could hear noises coming from the ceiling, such as chairs, tables, children and people running, playing or walking. You could even hear drawers opening and closing. Let's say the soundproofing is not the best. Overall it is really worth visiting and returning, which I will do.

Very beautiful and evocative location, of historical and natural interest. Rooms are spacious and attractive. Truly unique. Suggestions: The shower head should be improved and a cabinet should be added in the bathroom. Probably, due to its historical characteristics, adding electrical outlets is difficult, but there are few of them. The room is very large and in my opinion a larger television would be needed.

We spent a weekend in this wonderful establishment, tastefully restored. The rooms are themed, really very, very beautiful and spotless. Mattia welcomed us, very kind and caring. The structure is a small masterpiece of simplicity, beauty, harmony, and comfort as we are talking about a small castle from the 1400s, which is not exactly taken for granted. The structure is beautiful and very quiet, 10 minutes from Todi. The themed rooms are beautiful and well maintained. The cleanliness is excellent, as is the comfort of the bed where I slept very well! The breakfast is well stocked with homemade cakes, cold cuts, fruit juices, but unfortunately also with packaged snacks and packaged bread. The young man who welcomed us was always nice and helpful and always smiling. The only thing that was a bit lacking in the room was perhaps a couple of bottles of water, some glasses, and soap for washing. There are only 2 sachets provided. Otherwise, everything was beautiful! Thank you!

Charming Bed & Breakfast obtained from a portion of a castle, immersed in the green countryside near Todi. The surrounding landscape is exceptional, here you can find tranquility and excellent hospitality from the family that manages it. Cool rooms (and why not) but even with a high 'degree of chilliness' everything is solved by turning on the heater. Nice place!

The Castello di Belforte is simply magnificent, nestled in the greenery and offers a truly suggestive panorama. The rooms are extremely unique and carefully detailed, the breakfast is plentiful and really good. I stayed at the Castle for my wedding and, although nervous for the big event, I immediately felt at home: I was immediately welcomed by fantastic people, and I really have no words to thank them. I received so much care and kindness that I will never forget, and that certainly added many beautiful notes to the wedding. I am very happy with my choice, I can't wait to have the opportunity to stay at the Castle again!

Different B&B than usual, our room was spacious and furnished with a four-poster bed in style with Agriturismo Castello di Belforte where it is located. Very comfortable bed. Kind owners, great price. Breakfast was ok, I give 8 because there was no fruit and some salty alternatives.

We chose the castle to celebrate my birthday and give our children a magical experience, they were amazed and excited to feel like knights for a night. Ms. Patrizia is a delightful person, along with her whole family made us feel at home, preparing a breakfast with genuine and special flavors. What to say? A dream place, in a moment you are transported back to the Middle Ages. I was there with my wife on the first Friday of September and we had a great time, moreover the owner is very kind and gave us some historical notions about the castle. Breakfast in the garden is really abundant with delicious homemade cakes. I recommend, if you can, to spend some time on the outdoor armchairs in the evening to see many stars. Highly recommended!

Beautiful structure. The fields surrounding the castle give a taste of the tranquility that will be found once arrived. Surrounded by that landscape, one almost feels like leaving all the schedules behind and staying. The rooms, all different and characteristic, are clean and welcoming. We found this property really unique and one of a kind. Located in a strategic position, it offers a wonderful 360-degree panorama. The chess room is very characteristic and cozy. The owners are very kind and helpful, the breakfast is very good and rich, with excellent homemade cakes. I highly recommend it for a relaxing oasis.

A gem, an authentic castle with four rooms, small and delightful. The room of the swords where we slept was beautiful, evocative and clean. The excellent breakfast with homemade cakes (the ricotta one exquisite!). Patrizia is a welcoming and very helpful host. Highly recommended.

I had a great time at Agriturismo Castello di Belforte: the welcome from Patrizia was lovely. Sleeping in a room with rock walls is truly a magical sensation that took me back in time. The breakfast and convivium are very welcoming, the homemade cakes are delicious. I appreciated the kindness of the hosts. The place is beautiful, the entrance avenue with the pine and cypress trees is very elegant and romantic. One thing that could be improved with a little effort is to make the rooms a bit warmer, feasible. Thanks again, I believe I will recommend it to all my friends and I will gladly return to stay there.
