Description

The B&B can accommodate up to 4 adults, 2 for each room, each equipped with private bathroom, air conditioning, terrace, mini fridge, wi-fi, TV. The activity takes place in a historic building dating back to 1939, located near a convenient mechanized street that will take you to the heart of the city in just a few minutes (only 350 meters on foot). Nearby, you will also find the suburban bus terminal in Piazza Partigiani (with regional and national lines, Flixbus, and shuttle to S. Egidio airport) and the Saba public parking, which offers 544 spaces (with discounted rates for stays of at least two days thanks to our practical subscription).

Sant'Anna train station (with connections to Ponte San Giovanni, Ancona, Florence, and Rome) is only 400 meters away on foot, while the main Fontivegge train station is easily accessible by bus or taxi.

In the surroundings, you will find the Santa Giuliana Arena, a sports facility dedicated to athletics, where paid Umbria Jazz concerts are held. Our B&B is extremely convenient for those who need to go to the "Villa Fiorita" clinic (only 250 meters away on foot), as well as for those who have work commitments at the Army Foreign Language School, the regional headquarters of Anas, or the Chamber of Commerce.

Breakfast (with packaged food) can be comfortably enjoyed in the bedroom, in the livingroom and, during summer, in the garden.

Rules set by the Authority require the consumption of packaged products within the B&B in order to guarantee food hygiene and safety. Specific needs should be indicated at the time of booking. The typical Italian breakfast is usually served in the rooms. During the summer season, upon request, it can be served in the garden of the house. If you prefer, you can breakfast at a nearby bar.

The rooms are equipped with a mini fridge and natural or sparkling mineral water is available free of charge.

The B&B is easily accessible by car for those arriving in Perugia from the 4-lane road (Prepo and/or Villa S. Faustino exit). There is a free parking lot next to the building while a paid parking lot is located 100 meters away, where you can reach the city center by "escalators". For those using buses (extra-urban lines such as Flixbus) arriving at Piazza Partigiani, it is possible to reach the B&B on foot in a few minutes. In the immediate vicinity, there is a bus stop for urban buses that connect the area to the Fontivegge railway station.

There are no words to describe the seriousness and availability of the lady of the B&B. Very kind and friendly. My wife and I felt as if we were at home. Above all, she was extremely helpful with our needs, putting her commitments aside. I hope, together with my wife, to be able to return to Perugia again, and we will definitely stay at this B&B. Very elegant structure, really convenient location for the Santa Giuliana arena and the center. Mrs. Eliana is really very welcoming and helpful, she made us feel at ease with her friendliness. I recommend it.

We stayed for two days, the welcome was very good. Comfortable room and functional bathroom. We appreciated the decor of the house that conveys Mrs. Eliana's passion for travel. We appreciated the outdoor breakfast and the location away from the chaos of the center, which is however easily reachable.

The structure is 5 minutes from the escalators to go to the center and 5 minutes on foot from the Villa Fiorita clinic. The furniture is a bit old-fashioned. The owner is very welcoming.

Grazie, anche se per una persona che ha scelto di tornare per la seconda volta nello stesso appartamento e nella stessa camera (da giugno dotata anche di aria condizionata) certi voti sono poco comprensibili: in particolare contesto fortemente quello della pulizia, aspetto che viene curato sempre con la massima attenzione; forse se avessi accettato di ricevere un piccolo pacco spedito dall'ospite la valutazione sarebbe stata migliore... ad ogni modo immagino non ci sarà una terza volta!

Recommendation for the Bed & Breakfast Arena Santa Giuliana: I had the great pleasure of staying at Santa Giuliana B & B in Perugia, Italy from October 7-10, 2023. My stay was wonderful. The exceptional experience begins with the owner, Eliana, who was hospitable in every conceivable way. She served a light breakfast accompanied by plenty of coffee. The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, and the cool evening breeze made sleep a refreshing experience. Eliana is not only a wealth of information but also goes the extra mile for her guests. On several occasions, she either drove me or called taxis to get me to my destination. She assisted me in buying my bus ticket to Assisi and was aware of a bus strike that affected my plans. Her personal touch to her work is greatly appreciated by travelers. Eliana is a vivacious Italian woman who was enjoyable to converse with. She also has two sweet dogs. My stay wouldn't have been as great if it weren't for Eliana and her homely B & B. Her B & B is conveniently located near a fantastic Italian restaurant and other dining and drinking establishments. It's a short taxi ride away from the town center, museums, and the cathedral. I cannot express enough how much she contributed to making my stay in Perugia so remarkable. We had a great time. The room is very close to the center, clean and also very well furnished and cared for. The owner was very kind even though we had an unexpected issue with the check-in and she gave us a lot of information about the city including a map. Highly recommended!

The room reflects entirely the 70s. Furniture, humidity, temperature. The owner still made sure that the stay was as pleasant as possible, since we had power limits and she would cut off the electricity if we tried to heat the room. The breakfast in a nearby bar was very good, also open on Easter day. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious. Luckily we had a restaurant nearby where we ate quite well, as recommended by the owner of the B&B Arena Santa Giuliana.

Per i due ospiti non è stato sufficiente impostare a 30 gradi la pompa di calore di cui è dotata la camera; per riscaldare il bagno interno si è dovuta aggiungere una stufa elettrica. Sinceramente in aprile non ritengo ragionevole nè sostenibile usare i termosifoni per l'intero appartamento di mq 140 (ristrutturato nel 2019), come chiedevano gli ospiti. Contesto la votazione sulla pulizia.

I chose the property for its proximity to the bus terminal (I arrived by bus), the area is quiet, I slept very well. Mrs. Eliana was kind and helpful, I was able to check in early and leave my bag until the bus departure. The house is very unique, with beautiful antique furniture in the room where I slept. The breakfast is plentiful, although only with packaged products (Covid limitations). It's not in the center but there are escalators from the bus square, and the value for money is good, overall a more than satisfactory accommodation.

The entrance of B&B Arena Santa Giuliana is certainly not a good business card. Too much light enters the room and the mask on the bedside table was not in single-use packaging, so obviously I did not use it. The bed is a queen size, not a double. In the bathroom there was a rag near the toilet, like a sore thumb. There was a misunderstanding about the single/double reservation, but in the end, even though I paid for a full double, I was given only one breakfast voucher. Shame, as I deserved breakfast at that bar! At least they were very kind. (Does it seem like a professional response to you? And anyway, Johnny Depp is performing tomorrow, July 21st, in Cattolica... I see that you continue to misunderstand things said. I will certainly never recommend your accommodation to any of my clients).
