The Agriturismo La Contessa Quarter Horse, nestled in the green heart of Gubbio, is an ancient stone farmhouse completely renovated, surrounded by woods and trails that offer an untouched environment, yet just a few minutes away from all services and main communication routes.

The farmhouse has 9 rooms that retain their original charm, they are cozy, simple, and very representative of the local area and rural life, all equipped with private bathrooms.

In addition, Agriturismo La Contessa offers a swimming pool with umbrellas and lounge chairs, open from May to September for the guests’ enjoyment.

Inside Agriturismo La Contessa, in a rustic and welcoming atmosphere, guests can relax and enjoy the specialties of traditional Gubbio cuisine. The family-run management of the agriturismo allows for the offering of typical and genuine Eugubine cuisine, made with products from the farm and small local producers. All dishes are prepared the old-fashioned way, cooked in respect of tradition.

Very charming rustic place with excellent hosts. Amazing donkey hike and riding lessons with excellent facilities. Nice pool area, and table tennis was a hit with our kids. All animals on the farm are very well nourished and seem very well taken care of. The set menu for dinner is truly amazing. Rooms are without AC (at least ours) and somewhat dated, without it affecting the experience. Breakfast is mainly "sweet Italian" (not "continental", so no bread, eggs, cold milk).

Great farmhouse, well managed and offering excellent amenities. Praise to Lidia for the beginner horseback riding course for children, really attentive and kind. Relaxing atmosphere, convenient location for visiting Gubbio and Assisi. Recommended.

I stayed at this wonderful farmhouse surrounded by greenery for a weekend, together with four friends and our motorcycles. From our arrival we felt welcomed with great cordiality, like at home. After check-in we settled into our room, changed and spent a pleasant afternoon by the pool enjoying an excellent aperitif. For dinner we chose to stay on site and were pleasantly surprised by a simple but very tasty menu, prepared with genuine products and enhanced by excellent homemade pasta. The following morning we were greeted by a rich breakfast with many homemade products. After saying goodbye to the very kind staff, we left with a smile. It was a truly pleasant experience: very welcoming and helpful staff, a property immersed in nature and in the tranquility of the Umbrian hills. What can I say… a place to definitely return to!.

The manager offered us some products made by them (like a bitter liqueur). Having stayed at several similar establishments, these were always offered; instead we found them charged to our bill. I asked for an extra roll of toilet paper and they delivered another one that had already been started. (In fact, it was only half a roll.) Little things, but they embarrass the guest.
