Description

The Argentario Bed and Breakfast is located in Porto Santo Stefano, near the Spanish Fortress, which is far about 400 meters. The bus stop is far from the B&B about 100 meters. The town center and the ferries to the island of Giglio and Giannutri are far about 7 minutes by feet. The famous beach " la cantoniera" is about 15 minutes walk.

The hotel offers rooms with private entrance, private bath, refrigerator, TV. There is a big terrace with a relax area with a covered portion where breakfast is served. The terrace is available to guests for conversation or spend pleasantly summer evenings.

The property is not suitable for hosting guests; the systems are old as are the furniture and fixtures. The dessert plate on the table had some ants. There was neither fruit nor bread; everything was prepackaged. It was impossible to park the car nearby due to narrow, sloping roads. The two hosts are kind and willing people, but they might need help to revive a place that has a lot of potential.

Structure not to be considered as it does not provide the indicated services: the air conditioning is off, room cleaning service is absent, daily change of towels and sheets is not provided, and the ones provided are not from a hotel but old and recycled. The rooms are furnished with recycled and old furniture, and there are furniture pieces in every corner. In the rooms, the hairdryers are old and recycled, the electrical systems are not up to standard, there are exposed wires, and fire extinguishers are missing. Finally, the breakfast is of an industrial type, all packaged and always the same for 3 days.

Cleanliness 4 because when we arrived (we notified 1:30 before our arrival) the room was not ready and we had to wait 3 hours, ruining our day's plan. Structure 4 because it is very unkempt and full of bees that do not allow you to eat outside, and we even found one in the room. Location 5 because it is tiring to get there by walking and the road is difficult to drive on (steep climbs and narrow curves). Breakfast 4 because it is poor quality and with packaged food. Honest value for money. Manager 6 for the lack of professionalism and the lack of cleanliness of the b&b room upon arrival. Not recommended.

I have to judge everything from the photos and the chats with Mrs. Lucia because at the last moment they suspended our holidays and I had to cancel... with the wonderful Mrs. Lucia I have a pending account, I will return as soon as I can because she really made me feel at ease and I saw a beautiful structure with an exceptional quality/price ratio. We stayed here for a weekend: the owners welcomed us very warmly and were helpful and kind to meet our requests. They warned us from the moment of booking that our room would be a bit smaller than the others, but honestly it didn't lack anything, in fact there was even a small fridge and air conditioning. The B&B has a beautiful terrace with tables immersed in greenery, having breakfast there was really pleasant. Furthermore, the town center is within walking distance with a short stroll. Highly recommended!

Mrs. Lucia and her husband are very nice, always ready to meet our requests. Breakfast with homemade sweets by the husband very good. Great location close to the port and shuttle stop.

I would gladly return to this property. First of all, the room was very clean, and the managers were very helpful. Breakfast (with handmade products) is served on the terrace, which is shady in the morning, very pleasant.

Overall a good facility with a good quality/price ratio and an excellent location. The only negative point was the lack of clarity from the owner in presenting the room characteristics (photos not available on the website) as she omitted to mention the small bathroom without a bidet, without a shelf to place anything, the presence of a (closed) door communicating with another room where everything could be heard, and the poor soundproofing quality of the rooms (everything could be heard, especially early in the morning). The breakfast was modest.

The house has a great location, close to the harbor and with a beautiful view. The problem is where to park the car as it is located on a narrow and busy road, so it is even difficult to unload the luggage. Otherwise, everything is fine.

Apartment equipped with all comforts. The location is close to the center of Porto Santo Stefano but the slope to get there is significant. Francesco is ready to respond to all your needs and always available and kind. Highly recommended.

The structure is not a real Bed and Breakfast, it is a very large house where the owner has made the rooms available with the grandmother's furniture still inside. The air conditioning at an additional cost was ok, there were no soaps and towels, it was not written anywhere that we had to bring everything from home. The owner said she had forgotten, we had towels on request, of course, but no soaps. In the end, everything went well, but it is a 'rent rooms' without great expectations and the price is low for the reasons listed. The gentleman was very kind, the breakfast was good. They can improve if they want.

We spent the June 2nd bridge at the property. The owners are very welcoming, a 10-minute walk takes you to the center to reach the islands or stroll along the long port where there are local restaurants. Cozy rooms with everything available. Charming terrace where breakfast is served, where in addition to the usual things they serve delicious sweets made by them, absolutely exquisite. I highly recommend it!

We stayed 3 nights at the Vacanza all'Argentario property and overall we had a great time. The room was actually a whole apartment, complete with a kitchen (not usable) and a private bathroom, so the space was definitely ample. The owners were extremely helpful, the lady's husband is always extremely friendly. The breakfast was abundant, with a choice of packaged juice, milk, coffee, cappuccino, and homemade pastries by the lady, in addition to packaged snacks. Moreover, it is served on a truly pleasant, well-kept terrace with flowers everywhere and their cute little dog that gently greets you in the morning. The location is central, it takes 5 minutes on foot to reach the port, however, to reach the most beautiful coves you need to take the car (but it's only 5-6 km). The only flaw may be the slightly small bathroom, but we didn't have any problems anyway. We will definitely come back!
