The Black Sheep was born from a meticulous renovation of a classic florentine apartment through modern methods. With the re-interpretation of objects of the past it has been given an unconventional feel with great attention to detail and functionality in order to welcome you in an intimate and elegant atmosphere. Our B&B is ideal for those who like to feel like at home whilst traveling.

Each bedroom has a private bathroom, is well lit and accessorised with all the modern comforts: Smart TV 50", WiFi, tea and coffee facilities, a mini fridge with complimentary soft drinks, toilettries and a hairdryer. This is all inclusive.

In the lounge there is a PC with internet connection at your disposal, a Smart TV 50" and a selection of books and magazines in italian and english together with a smile from the staff!

Loved this place for its convenience and comfort but Federico was truly the highlight! We had tasty breakfasts and great conversation as he whipped up our cappuccinos! He gave us good recommendations, leading us to the best focaccia sandwiches we have ever had. An absolute 10!

It’s very nice and very comfortable B&B located footsteps from the train station and a decent walk to the main city attractions making it easy to get around. Federico is an excellent host. His English is excellent and our chats with him were one of the highlights of our time in Italy. Very helpful suggestions for restaurants etc. Location is close to all sites. The train station and bus station are a block away. We loved our morning cappuccinos.

Federico is one of the best hosts my wife and I have ever had the pleasure of staying with! We travel a lot, and have stayed with dozens of other hosts, and Federico was by far the friendliest, most gracious, and generous host we have ever stayed with. Things felt a little chaotic with host living so far away in Empoli. The 8: 30AM breakfast didn't work out for us, a little too late. One time the host didn't come in for breakfast & one time he was very late. Also, we were surprised the host was not living on site, perhaps that is normal in Italy. But it would not be a good situation for a female traveling by herself. Overall the host was very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent.

The Black Sheep B&B was perfect for our stay in Italy! The room was comfortable and well decorated -exactly the vibe we were hoping for in Florence! The breakfast was amazing! Frederico was very kind and helpful, recommended many great restaurants (many within walking distance) and was available to answer any questions we had. The b&b is very close to the train station. My sister and I enjoyed both walking all around Florence and taking day trips to other cities. I would recommend the black sheep to anyone and hope to come again one day!

We chose 'The Black Sheep' mainly for its position in Florence and we are so glad we did. The host, Federico is wonderful, the whole place was spotless, our room and bathroom spotlessly clean as well. An added bonus was the coffee-maker in the room! Frederico was a fantastic host who went out of his way to make my wife and I feel comfortable. He took the train to come bring us fresh croissants every day for breakfast, was extremely generous with his recommendations and is overall an exceptionally charming individual. The room was beautiful, classy and located a 5-min walk from the train station and is right in the heart of Florence. We will be staying here again if we visit in the future!

We didn’t actually stay here because of the stairs up to the room. When we told the host the stairs were a problem, he searched for a property in the same area, called and booked the room, negotiated the price down to what he was charging at his property, and carried most of our luggage as he led us a few blocks to the new property and verified a working elevator. It was friendly service above and beyond what we could ever have expected. Great Host!

The breakfast consisted of a croissant, quite tasty however unhealthy, I only remember the host being on time for breakfast on the first morning, didn’t even turn up for breakfast on the second day without even a phone call to me and seemingly typical of his poor time management was late arriving for check out (as he had “kindly” offered to carry my large suitcase down the 4 flights of stairs to the street) he did then assist me to reach the tram for both of these acts I was very grateful however him being late “again” led to me missing my flight by a matter of minutes and therefore costing me the same cost as 3 nights accommodation at his B&B as I had to pay fees and penalties to re-book a flight and also cost me a day out of my holiday as I couldn’t reach my destination until the following day.

One word to describe this place and the host - WOW! The Location was fantastic, minutes from the train station. Excellent instructions on how to get there. We were met by Federico who is very pleasant, charming and accommodating. He is very organized, had maps with places to visit and must sees, or places to eat, circles for us on the map. We originally had booked a room where we had to take stairs to go down to the bathroom, and when he saw how inconvenient it was for two "mature" ladies, he accommodated us in one of the rooms on the main floor that was vacant, with no extra charges to us. The had a menu of what we wanted to order for breakfast the next day and served us delicious parties with tea/coffee juice, yogurt. We asked if we could get milk and cereal and the next day he had that for us on the table. He had a fruit basket with apples, bananas and oranges that we were told to help ourselves to. There was a fridge in the room and he provided water, juice and boxes of snack, all at no extra cost. Please note that there are three rooms bring rented in this B&B, so you are sharing the common areas, living room and kitchen with other guests. All guests have their own private bathroom. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Florence. Thank you Federico. We will never forget your hospitality.

Besides a few flights of stairs, the only thing that they could change is to serve breakfast earlier. Starting at 8: 30 is a bit late for travelers. Federico is a Great host! Lots of great help. Stay here no questions.

Wonderfully close to the train station, if you follow the host's directions and not Google maps. Up a few flights of stairs. Host was superb in outlining paths for the activities we'd planned, gave great advice. Room very comfortable. Breakfast rating on American scale - host provided excellent fresh pastries for breakfast, and fruit, but no complex carbos or high protein. I'd definitely stay there again.

Absolutely a great place to stay. Close to the train station which was important to us and not far to walk to everything else when we were not dragging our suitcases. Donatello is a craftsman and artist and has remodeled the rooms perfectly with everything that you need and not a bunch of clutter that you don't. Very comfortable beds & pillows and modern bathroom. He is also a great host that met us for breakfast at our preferred time. Made us fresh espresso and had wonderful assortments of pastries, fruit, and yogurts. He stayed and chatted with us about Florence and what activities we had planned, offered great suggestions about a city he knows very well. I would definately recommend and stay at the Black Sheep again, and again!

The place is very nice and the owner awsome. Donatello gives you interesting advices on the place to stay in Florence, and explains everything on a map that he gives you. He speaks English fluently and knows a lot about the city and its restaurants. The breakfast is perfect, the furnitures are all new. A perfect place to be.

Soluzione perfetta per soggiorno a Firenze. ripagate le rampe di scale quando arrivi al terzo piano di questo palazzetto storico. gia consigliato ad amici e parenti, perché super accogliente l'ambiente e super accoglienti i proprietari. proprio bella l'atmosfera che si respira. attraversi la strada dalla stazione e sei arrivato. via della scala costeggia piazza s. maria novella, non c'è bisogno di passare in mezzo al casino della stazione. passeggi lungo via, che ha bei palazzi e tanti localini e ti ritrovi in piazza s. maria novella e da lì a s. maria in fiore o piazza signoria o lungo Arno sono pochi minuti. super posizione quindi e poi si sta proprio bene (anche il riposo è assicurato) noi la tripla a fine maggio. grazie Federico, Michele e Sarah, ciao!

Non ho potuto dare più di 10... Federico è stato un ospite eccezionale, disponibilissimo, ha trovato soluzioni per me che mi hanno aiutato moltissimo. La colazione è ottima, l'appartamento è molto carino e molto pulito, il check-in e stato agevolissimo, la struttura è vicinissima alla stazione di Santa Maria Novella e al centro, all'ingresso della ZTL. Tornerò certamente, grazie ancora Federico!

The Black Sheep è il B&B da sogno per visitare Firenze. Appartamento super moderno, pulito e curato in ogni minimo dettaglio. Bagno eccezionale, letti comodi, cuscini in memory foam. B&B molto vicino alla stazione ferroviaria S. M. Novella e a due passi dalle centro cittadino. Federico è stato molto accogliente pur essendo arrivati fuori orario indicato per il ceck-in e disponibile nel fornirci indicazioni per i locali in cui cenare e pranzare. Molto simpatici il suo babbo e la sua mamma che ci hanno preparato le colazioni con brioches freschissime e offerto marmellata di loro produzione e frutta del loro campo. Camera con aria condizionata, pulita e dotata di ogni confort. Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Nel caso tornassimo a Firenze non avremmo dubbi a scegliere ancora il B&B The Black Sheep di Federico perché sembra di essere a casa propria. Complimenti !

Accoglienza da parte del gestore all'insegna della squisita cortesia e disponibilità. Alloggio spazioso e dotato di confort. Posizione ottima, a 200 metri dalla stazione e tale da consentire di raggiungere a piedi in pochi minuti ogni edificio del centro di interesse artistico-culturale. Davvero una sistemazione ideale per chi voglia godersi appieno la città di Firenze.

Io e un amico abbiamo trascorso tre splendidi giorni a Firenze, che non sarebbero stati tanto belli senza la presenza di questa struttura e del gestore. Il B&B sorge a pochi passi dalla stazione di Santa Maria Novella e dal luogo previsto per il consumo della colazione mattutina: abbiamo apprezzato la collocazione vantaggiosa, raccordata ai centri culturali più interessanti della città. I servizi offerti sono davvero stati piacevoli e tutti quanti ben curati. Federico poi è stato gentilissimo e cortese sin dall'inizio, e oltre ad esserci sembrato davvero simpatico si è dimostrato attento a provvedere alle nostre necessità, mettendosi in contatto con noi per sapere come stesse andando il soggiorno e interessandosi a possibili richieste destinate a migliorarlo. Una sola critica potrebbe essere rivolta alla connessione wi-fi, dato lo scarso segnale registrato in camera: ma per chi è interessato a trascorrere la maggior parte della giornata in giro per Firenze o semplicemente ricerca la comodità della stanza d'apertura del B&B (dove, tra i vari comfort, ci è sembrato che la connessione della struttura funzionasse meglio), non dovrebbe essere un dramma. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

Forse da quando visitiamo Firenze il b and a black sheep ci è sembrato il migliore infatti dobbiamo fare i complimenti al gestore sig. Abbiamo soggiornato nel B&B nei giorni 18-20 ottobre e ci siamo trovate veramente bene, pulitissimo, colazione abbondante, situato a 5 minuti a piedi dalla Stazione di Santa Maria Novella e vicinissimo al centro, gestori disponibilissimi tanto che ti senti un po' come a casa. Le camere oltre ad essere molto carine sono particolarmente silenziose, si dorme come "ghiri". Consigliatissimo.

La struttura è comoda da raggiungere perché dista qualche minuto a piedi dalla stazione dei treni S. M. N. La struttura è bella, così come la camera: è tutto arredato con gusto e stile moderno accogliente che ti mette a proprio agio. Ambienti puliti, camera silenziosa, possibilità di poter cucinare e di lasciare anche del cibo in frigo. Il gestore è stato accogliente, gentile e disponibile. Su nostra richiesta ci ha procurato prodotti specifici per la colazione anche se c'è stata una confusione iniziale sulla scelta dovuta alla scarsa conoscenza degli ingredienti ma alla fine è stato bravo nel venire incontro alle nostre esigenze. Lo ringraziamo ancora tanto per la disponibilità dimostrata anche nel fare il deposito bagagli al check out. Un soggiorno veramente bello: grazie!

Ottimo B&B, ideale per sentirsi a casa. Vicinissimo sia alla stazione che alle fermate del tram e a tutti i punti di interesse del centro. All'interno della casa si respira un ambiente familiare e alla mano. Ultima nota non meno importante il proprietario Federico è stato gentilissimo e disponibilissimo nell'indicarci anche posti da mangiare e altro. Sicuramente quando andremo a Firenze ritorneremo qui.

Abbiamo scelto questa struttura in occasione del Firenze Rocks e il gestore ci è sembrato da subito molto cordiale e accomodante. Il B&B si trova in una posizione strategica, comodissima perché a 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione e vicina al centro; le stanze sono molto carine, finemente arredate, con bagno esterno alla camera ma riservato comunque agli ospiti. Tuttavia, fin dalla prenotazione online, il modo di gestire la situazione ci è parso un pò confuso: abbiamo prenotato una camera doppia e poi siamo stati spostati a un’altra per un problema di overbooking, il gestore si è poi scusato includendo nella nuova prenotazione anche la tassa di soggiorno e la colazione. Pur avendo segnalato i nostri orari di arrivo e partenza con largo anticipo, a una settimana dalla data di prenotazione ci sono stati chiesti nuovamente perché era incerto chi ci avrebbe accolto. Il giorno stesso siamo stati accolti poi da un’altra persona rispetto agli accordi, non ci è stata rilasciata nemmeno fattura o ricevuta per il pagamento, che abbiamo dovuto lasciare alla bell’e meglio in camera, visto che non abbiamo mai avuto modo di incontrare il gestore. Dulcis in fundo: nessuna colazione, contrariamente a quanto sostenuto. Rimaniamo un po’ perplessi e speriamo che sia stato solo un caso dettato dal momento..

Il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo quanto il rapporto fra proprietario e cliente, una grande gentilezza e disponibilità in un B&B davvero accogliente e ben tenuto. A due passi dalla stazione Santa Maria Novella ti permette di arrivare in pochi minuti in tutti i luoghi di interesse.

Accoglienza meravigliosa, Donatello è un perfetto padrone di casa, cortese, simpaticissimo e davvero disponibile. Stanza molto bella e pulita. Colazione ottima servita ad unico tavolo, occasione per fare qualche chiacchiera insieme agli altri ospiti e a Donatello, che prepara un caffè fantastico. Atmosfera rilassata e gioviale. Torneremo sicuramente presto.

Trovato su internet, si è mostrato subito un B&B giovane. Conferma avuta non appena visto di presenza. Vicinissimo alla stazione di Firenze Santa Maria Novella e a due passi dal centro storico. La struttura si trova al terzo piano senza ascensore ma non è un problema per la valige perché il gestore verrà fin giù a prenderle. Stanze pulitissime così come il bagno. Noi abbiamo soggiornato nella camera con bagno esterno ma non è stato un problema perché l'ambiente è così familiare da non creare disagi. In camera troverete un frigo con acqua e bevande, inoltre sono presenti bollitore per il tè e caffè americano. Colazione fantastica! Donatello preparerà un buon caffè con la caffettiera oltre che cornetti, latte, yogurt, marmellata, miele, formaggio spalmabile. Bello anche poter fare quattro chiacchiere con il gestore. Letto comodissimo con doppi cuscini, la stanza era calda ma è presente il climatizzatore. Disponibile per gli ospiti anche un computer e connessione WiFi gratuita.

Ottima struttura, vicinissima alla Stazione Santa Maria Novella, comoda per raggiungere a piedi il centro e qualsiasi altro luogo di interesse. Le camere molto pulite e curate, colazione super abbondante con brioche fresche e ogni altra delizia. Il titolare molto gentile e accogliente, ci ha indicato tutti i luoghi da visitare e i ristoranti. Da ritornarci sicuramente.

Ottima struttura, a 5 minuti da Stazione FS Santa Maria Novella, 10 minuti da Terminal Pullman e 10 minuti dal centro storico, anche se la basilica di Santa Maria Novella è a 3 minuti. Struttura ottima, pulita, ben disposta e il titolare, Donatello, è una persona piacevolissima con cui colloquiare. Consigliatissima a tutti, sia per un weekend sia per più giorni. Noi ritorneremo sicuro.

The Black Sheep è un ottimo bed & breakfast. Ci siamo trovati veramente bene per quanto riguarda il gestore che è stato molto cordiale e disponibile nel consigliarci le cose da fare con relativi posti dove pranzare e/o cenare, poi per la posizione a un centinaio di metri dalla stazione Santa Maria Novella (personalmente fondamentale) e per la struttura dove ci siamo trovati quasi come a casa a livello di confort. Dista circa 10 minuti a piedi dal duomo di Firenze o da altre attrazioni sempre nelle vicinanze. Colazione quasi meglio di un albergo in quanto il gestore ogni mattina ti fa trovare cornetti freschi di pasticceria con altre cose quali frutta fresca, yogurt, latte, succo d'arancia, pane tostato, qualche formaggio e altro ancora. La colazione è veramente abbondante e non c'è assolutamente niente da dire. Consiglio personalmente questo B&B lontano dal baccano ma allo stesso tempo vicino a ciò che interessa sul serio e comodo per poi tornare nella propria città.

Struttura interessante e "simpatica" a partire dal nome che certamente non è comune e che appare subito abbastanza intrigante. Di forte apprezzabilità le qualità del gestore: informato, attento, disponibile, corretto. Abbiamo potuto fruire di ulteriori servizi senza costi aggiuntivi: ad esempio la permanenza nella struttura per l'intera giornata del 31 fino alla partenza del treno.

Ho pernottato in questa struttura per una notte, tra il 18 e il 19 ottobre. Il B&B si trova a 100m circa dalla stazione di Santa Maria Maggiore, a pochi passi dal centro storico fiorentino. Il titolare, gentilissimo e disponibilissimo, ci ha subito messo a nostro agio e, sbrigate le formalità iniziali, ci ha gentilmente indicato ottimi posti dove passare la serata, nonché le principali attrazioni turistiche. Arredato in modo moderno e originale, dispone di tutte le comodità che ci si può aspettare. Colazione abbondate e gustosa. La prossima volta che tornerò a Firenze sarà sicuramente la mia primissima scelta!

Il B&B è molto bello, curato in tanti dettagli, ottima posizione vicino alla stazione e a pochi passi dal centro. Si sta meglio che in albergo! Tutto l'appartamento è molto bello con oggetti di design e soluzioni architettoniche d'impatto. Letto comodo, doccia perfetta, dotazione di asciugamani, shampoo e sapone. C'è anche il phon. Colazione varia ed abbondante con ottimi prodotti. Ma il valore aggiunto è Donatello: gentile, simpatico, competente, disponibile.

Ho soggiornato al Black Sheep dal 10 all'11 maggio. Il proprietario è stato molto gentile e disponibile, la stanza era ampia ed accogliente, forse un po buia: anche di giorno erano necessaria la luce artificiale. Un altro aspetto era l'assenza dell'armadio, sostituito da un appendiabiti al muro e senza cassetti. Sconsiglio questo B&B a chi ha motilità ridotta perché si trova al terzo piano senza ascensore e le scale sono parecchio ripide. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è davvero eccellente! In ogni caso mi sento di consigliare caldamente di soggiornare qui, se dovessi ricapitare a Firenze ci tornerei senza alcun dubbio.

Molto pulito, veramente vicino sia alla stazione che al centro storico, proprietario molto cortese. Forse bisognerebbe segnalare anche sul sito che il B&B si trova al 3° piano senza ascensore, più che altro magari per persone anziane.
