Residence Teclini

Our grandfather Ugo had a strong desire: to have a boy to preserve the Teclini name, which he had received as a child in an orphanage. Grandma Gina, on the other hand, had already had three daughters and hoped to have a boy to balance the family. To make Grandfather Ugo happy, Grandma Gina came up with a brilliant idea: to open a small tourist accommodation. And so our adventure began in 1956, when Grandma Gina, together with her three daughters Tonina, Neda, and Marisa, opened three rooms for rent in a cozy house near the sea in Castiglione. Even though there was nothing official, people would also sit in the hallway to enjoy a good homemade meal and the family atmosphere that was felt. Over the years, the guesthouse grew, and by 1969 we already had three floors and 18 rooms. The management always remained in the family, with Grandma Gina as the soul of the guesthouse and her daughters taking care of the dining room, kitchen, and administration. Tonina, in particular, would prepare delicious dishes, like lasagna made with 15 eggs for 50 people, and her sauce was famous throughout the area. Every Tuesday was a festive day, with Tonina's Cacciucco dish shining and receiving warm applause. The years have passed, and now we are here, ready to embark on a new adventure, keeping alive the same passion and determination that guided us 48 years ago. Our guesthouse has always been in our hands, even when the sisters stopped participating in the management. With time, in addition to our children, grandchildren have also arrived, and we are happy to continue offering a warm welcome to all visitors who join our big family.
