The agritourism originated in Tuscany as a simple form of free hospitality offered by farmers, who generously hosted people from the city and involved them in their activities.

Today, the POGGIO DESTO Bed & Breakfast offers the pleasure of a simple yet fascinating life and direct contact with nature.

Located on the slopes of Montalbano at an altitude of 164 meters above sea level, in the village of Montemagno dating back to 1150, the Poggio Desto residence offers its guests an incomparable natural panorama that ranges from the cities of Pistoia and Prato to the magical Florence, whose Giotto's bell tower and Brunelleschi's dome can be seen on some days with the naked eye.

All around, the Apennine mountain range with views of famous peaks such as Abetone and Cimone, and behind, the lush Montalbano.

The love for tranquility and nature is an essential condition for this type of vacation; at Poggio Desto, a special atmosphere of bliss, well-being and serenity can be felt, unique and unattainable, thanks to its fortunate location in the greenery and the comfortable and spacious rooms.

The geographical position allows guests to reach Florence and Lucca in a short time (even by train from Pistoia), and with a few more minutes by car, Siena and Pisa with the Tuscan coast. The thermal towns of Monsummano and Montecatini are also very close.

The Poggio Desto structure offers various services to its guests, such as a playground, ample parking, baby cots, disabled access, ATM, Visa, and knowledge of English, French, and German.

Our guests also have the opportunity to go horseback riding, mountain biking, trekking, play tennis or soccer in the immediate vicinity, sport fishing, golf, and bird watching.

The environment is very beautiful, superb view over Tuscany from the garden and the pool, the room looked a bit old-fashioned but the bedding was impeccable and it was clean. We didn't have a reception, but it wasn't a problem, the key was available in a key box and we had received the information via WhatsApp. Breakfast was okay but nothing special. There is no one on site except in the morning for breakfast and to clean the rooms.

Very nice accommodation in the middle of the hills with a great view. Everything is very clean, friendly operators, very good breakfast with a wide selection. A completely beautiful stay.

We loved our stay at Poggio Desto B&B! A wonderful location for all of our Tuscan adventures. An easy drive to a train station for trips to Florence or Cinque Terre. We had a lovely stay. The hosts were amazing.

Great B&B, the location is on a hill with a breathtaking 'Tuscan' view. The pool is also very pleasant. In the evening you can dine on site and the dishes offered are delicious. The staff are very welcoming, helpful, and warm. We recommend this establishment for its location, hospitality, the beauty of the site, the rooms, and the restaurant.

The structure is very quiet, with two ladies who manage it extremely kind and attentive to all the needs of the guests. From the swimming pool, there is a beautiful view and the breakfast is rich in homemade sweets.
