On the slopes of Monte Amiata, near Santa Fiora, amidst a landscape that is both hilly and mountainous, lies the Podere di Maggio, perched on a hill surrounded by ancient chestnut trees that resemble dancing figures.
This lovely hill overlooks the pristine valley of the Fiora River, whose waters provide refreshment in the summer and a soothing melody in the winter as all the streams swell and gurgle down toward the river.
Visitors to this place can enjoy the tranquility and silence that this location offers, perfect for writing, meditating, or resting.

The agriturismo consists of five stone houses, each independent and fully immersed in nature.

From here, you can explore Etruscan sites, medieval villages, nature reserves, abbeys, and hot springs (such as Saturnia and Bagni San Filippo).

This Podere di Maggio is truly a beautiful place, having been around since before 1650.
We've only lived here for 15 years, and we enjoy it immensely!
Situated on the slopes of Monte Amiata, in the valley of the Fiora River, and surrounded by natural parks with a landscape that genuinely feels like it’s from 1650, we established this agriturismo to delight in welcoming people who appreciate locations like this.

We stayed at Podere di Maggio for a birthday celebration. We slept in one of the glamping tents at the farmhouse! It was a truly beautiful experience for us adults, but especially for my 12-year-old daughter. I had never tried this solution before and staying so close to nature and the sounds of the woods, but with all the comforts of a real bed (which was also very comfortable), was really nice, the cool night air and the soft duvet were the best! The carefully curated ethnic decor and extreme attention to detail made everything special, the warm light filtering through the handmade terracotta lampshades by Rita is intimate and suggestive. Rita and her husband Peter immediately showed themselves to be special people, perfect hosts, attentive and very helpful. They welcomed us with open arms, making us feel at home right away. Everything is a perfect balance of art, nature, beauty, and zen harmony. Every corner of the garden is a burst of life, with many varieties of plants cared for by Peter, who is also a garden designer, every glimpse is a wonder, it feels like being in a country home decor magazine. The family's dogs and cats kept us company... everything was perfect. I would go back tomorrow! Highly recommended to everyone to recharge with good energy.

The place is very beautiful. There are several old farmhouses (even a tent) that have been very well adapted by Peter and Rita, the two very kind managers. Tranquility, lots of greenery, flowers, beautiful panorama. A little paradise just a few kilometers from Santa Fiora.

Beautiful nature, excellent hosts. The cottage "il seccatoio" is functional, practical, and well-heated. Great holiday for those traveling with pets, lots of green space on the property.

On the slopes of the Tuscan Lung, among the woods of Monte Amiata, a place of peace built over the years stone by stone like the condensed image of a long love story. Excellent base for exploring the fascinating lands of tuff and hot springs, Podere di Maggio is itself a center where to find inner harmony, cared for by Peter and Rita and lulled by the gentle breeze, bright colors, intense scents of flowers, the silence of civilization in which to rediscover the thousand sounds of nature. We will come back.

Everything very pleasant; the cute apartment, furnished with taste and simplicity; the location really beautiful. The managers very kind, nice, and very discreet. The animals (dogs and cats) well-mannered but affectionate. We had a truly memorable weekend.
