Confort, simplicity and hospitality are the main characteristics of the guest house of family Boldrini.
Situated at 50 mt. from the city door of S. Matteo, inside the wonderfull medieval walls of S. Gimignano, the Hystorical Residence “Palazzo Buonaccorsi” offers the typical tuscan hospitality.
The rooms, restructured in completely respect of the tradition, are furnished with original pieces and have independent entrances and private bathrooms with shower (some rooms have bathroom in common).
On request it’s possible to have double or single beds and also extra bed.

The palace is situated in the midst of Tuscany, in San Gimignano, a beautifully preserved medieval hill town, strategically placed between Pisa, Florence, Siena, Chianti and Lucca, and it provides an ideal base for the exploration of Tuscany. Palazzo Buonaccorsi, is a wonderful Historical House, dating from the thirteenth century and is located in the main street of the historic centre of San Gimignano, inside the city walls. Step away from the most beautiful squares of the medieval town and its imposing towers. The rooms are confortable, furnished with family antiques and tastefully selected appropriate, gives the impression of being a guest in the home of a famous person of times past. This feeling of intimacy and ease, is further encouraged by the Italian welcome of Pierluigi, together with his wife Marzia, and the their valuable informations. Their are proud to continue this family tradition, opening the ancient doors of this historical residence and to offer their guests a very pleasant stay under the medieval towers of San Gimignano. Residenza d'Epoca Palazzo Buonaccorsi is a haven of solicitude and courtesy from the family Boldrini 1907.

In just a few minutes you can immerse yourself in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, with its splendid hills, as well as the stunning landscape of vineyards and olive groves of Chianti (it is possible to organize customized tours with private drivers).
From San Gimignano you can also easily reach Volterra, Siena, Florence, Pisa, Lucca and many other places worth a visit.
The rooms are located on the first and second floors of the residence, furnished with mostly original furniture. They are renovated in accordance with tradition with terracotta floors, vaulted ceilings or with beams and rafters. Some are with frescoes. All rooms are private and have an independent entrance with free return time.
At the guests' disposal there is an internal courtyard with tables and chairs to rest and relax in the open air.
Next to our door you will find a bar / bistro and a bakery / pastry shop. Furthermore, in the same street there are also: a tobacconist, a grocery store, a wine shop, and many other places.
Numerous restaurants and pizzerias are within the city walls, very close to our residence.
The train station is 15 km away, conveniently served by buses.
The bus stop is 50 meters away (Porta San Matteo), the main stop is at Porta San Giovanni.
Florence airport is 60 km away, Pisa airport is 90 km away, they are well served by public transport.

I stayed 2 nights in this historic building. The property doesn't have a lift but the kind staff helped me carry my luggage to the beautiful room. If compared with the latest buildings, the equipment may be poor but that's a minor issue. The hosts have been living in San Gimignano for a long time and they know everything about San Gimignano. Great staff would help and provide a perfect experience for your stay.

As soon as you arrive, you enter an atmosphere of times past and with a commendable welcome! We stayed as "pilgrims" and Mrs. Marzia gave us all the information we needed! Definitely worth considering for the stop in San Gimignano.

In a historic palace in the city center, a comfortable room, although the bathroom is a bit dated. Shared with other guests, a lovely inner courtyard and a large lounge! Very kind welcome with some helpful tips! With a street-facing room, we heard the delivery trucks in the morning.

We arrived tired from the journey and found comfort in being in one of the most beautiful sections of the city's main street and in one of the most beautiful buildings: warm brick red like the rest of this wonderful village which has as a counterpoint the crystal gray of its ancient towers. The welcome was full of care and respect: the lady helped us understand that we had parked incorrectly and warned us that we risked a fine. She managed, with our documents, all the registration procedures, making us quickly move the car to areas she clearly indicated with aerial photos that she sent us via WhatsApp. Then, upon returning from the parking lot, we received city maps, information on discounts for museums and more, and tailored travel advice, perfectly understood by the lady. We are very happy with everything, we highly recommend it to those looking for a beautiful and relaxing holiday in Tuscany: San Gimignano and Palazzo Buonaccorsi Residenza d'Epoca.

We had the pleasure of staying at Palazzo Buonaccorsi for two days. The palace is in the historic center, from which you can access all the historical and tourist points of interest. The manager was very welcoming, trying to make us comfortable immediately and also answering our questions about the history and past of San Gimignano. We will remember these days with pleasure, hoping to be able to return.

How to go back in time. Excellent location (right in the center of San Gimignano) as well as the welcome. Very large rooms with double beds and antique furniture. Ceilings with frescoes and an atmosphere that brings the past back to life. It's a shame because at the booking (made almost last minute...) the only available rooms had a shared bathroom (but the property was very clear and transparent from the booking, informing us) however very clean. A thank you to the two owners, Marzia and Pierluigi, for their valuable tips with precious indications on places to visit and where to have dinner. Highly recommended.

Staying in a Palazzo from the 300s is a unique experience. Large and bright rooms, recently renovated, clean environments. The renovation was done with care without ruining the essence of the Palazzo, period floors like the closures, furnishings in line with the historicity. The managers are very nice, caring, and attentive to our needs, they advised us on parking and the various places to visit in San Gimignano. We will definitely come back to deepen our knowledge of this splendid town. Waking up in the morning and opening the windows in the center of the village is a beautiful feeling.

Fantastic location, lovely and attentive owners who provide valuable information about restaurants, routes, where to park, etc. Spacious and clean rooms, a bit noisy early in the morning (6-7am) from delivery vans and suppliers from the other businesses on the street. I would definitely recommend and would repeat without hesitation as well.

Excellent location, the Palazzo Buonaccorsi Residenza d'Epoca takes you back in time! While maintaining the original structure, they managed to make it comfortable and cozy. Welcoming and very kind managers, you can see they love their work and their beautiful city! Well done. We will return.

Great location in the center of San Gimignano; maybe a bit of disturbance in the morning when they collect the garbage and clean the street, but better the noise than the dirt! Very kind owners who welcomed us with courtesy and expertise. There is no elevator so be prepared to take some steps.

Beautiful historic palace in the heart of the old town, perfectly preserved. Comfortable, clean, well-furnished, and quiet room. Lovely inner courtyard. Great attention and availability from the manager. Unfortunately, the breakfast service is missing.

In Palazzo Buonaccorsi Residenza d'Epoca, in the city center, carefully restored, with antique furniture. Very kind and helpful owners. Spacious and quiet room, small bathroom due to constraints imposed by the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage, but complete. No TV (but personally I'm not interested). Functional and free WiFi.

I agree with the other two reviews that everything is okay. San Gimignano is a jewel, but the surroundings are no less. Spend a weekend and stay at Palazzo Buonaccorsi.

Hello, I stayed at Palazzo Buonaccorsi Residenza d'Epoca during the Easter period and I must say that I had a great time both in terms of location in the historic center and in terms of hospitality and cleanliness from Mrs. Marzia, a delightful person ready to give you a thousand tips on places to visit in the surroundings. An experience to repeat, perhaps with the whole family or friends, that of a weekend in San Gimignano at Palazzo Buonaccorsi Residenza d'Epoca, where one can breathe the atmosphere of the ancient village in a historic building and enjoy the exquisite courtesy of the hosts, who are always available and sources of valuable information. The convenience of the location and the possibility of parking the car nearby without too much hassle are one more reason for appreciation. Highly recommended.
