The "Palazzi del Papa" Agriturismo is situated among the gentle hills of Tuscany, specifically in Pienza, the town of Pio II.
Nestled in the uncontaminated setting of Val d'Orcia, characterized by pleasant landscapes and various centers of medieval origin, immersed in the green countryside of the Lucciola Bella Nature Reserve, the farmhouse was built in the 1930s by the Marquis Origo.
The property is owned by the historic Nardi Family, whose roots are deeply embedded in the long history of Tuscan sharecropping, from which they inherited the fundamental values of peasant culture and a strong connection to the land. Alongside the Agriturismo, other core activities of the Nardi Family include the agricultural company, which comprises around 250 hectares of land cultivated with cereals and wheat, 2 hectares of DOC ORCIA vineyards, production of EVO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil), and the breeding of Chianina cattle, a prized breed from which the famous "bistecca alla fiorentina" is obtained.
The property offers multiple opportunities for those seeking a stay that combines body care with excursions to art cities, churches, museums, and landscapes that have remained unchanged over time. However, they do not overlook the enogastronomic aspect of a land that has made the world aware of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, wines such as Chianti, Nobile di Montepulciano, Brunello di Montalcino, and foods like "bistecca alla fiorentina" or pecorino cheese.

Every morning, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast made with organic, locally sourced products: homemade cakes and biscuits expertly crafted by the owner Sabrina, organic jams and honey produced on the farm, fresh yogurt from a nearby dairy, as well as Tuscan cured meats and cheeses.

The Palazzi del Papa farmhouse was built in the thirties by the Marquis Origo replacing an old inn where the Eminences used to rest when they were going through the nearby Francigena road. The Villa stands in the centre of the natural reserve of Lucciola Bella and it is now a property of the Nardi Enzo Estate. Nowadays, the Company owns 100 ha cultivated with cereals and wheat which is mainly used for the Chianina-breeding. This activity is, among others, the most important one. From the vineyards a wonderful red DOC Orcia wine is produced. Of course, it is available to be tasted for all our kind guests. During the stay would be also possible to take a look at the breeding of the Chianina cow and at the poultry (chicken, ducks and rabbits).

The Palazzi del Papa Agritourism is located approximately 14 km away from Pienza, the Renaissance "ideal" city and the town of Pio II. It is also about 20 km away from Montepulciano, famous for its wine, which should definitely be tasted in the local cellars with their underground structures carved into the tuff. Additionally, it is approximately 25 km away from Montalcino, famous for its Brunello wine. It is also near small villages that should not be missed, such as Bagno Vignoni, Bagni San Filippo, Radicofani, and San Quirico. It is about 1 hour away from Siena and Arezzo, and approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes away from Florence.

Abbiamo scelto questa struttura per caso, ma, arrivati, la realtà ha superato le nostre aspettative. Sono stati giorni paradisiaci. Gli spazi esterni, il prato all'inglese, la piscina, le attrezzature per lo svago ed i relax, i fiori, curati nei minimi particolari. Sabrina ci ha commossi per la sua gentilezza, disponibilità e cortesia offrendoci un alloggio più ampio di quello richiesto, corredato di comforts oltre misura. A questo deve aggiungersi massima pulizia degli ambienti e colazioni (dolci e salate) abbondanti con alimenti genuini a chilometro zero. Grazie Sabrina, sei rimasta nei nostri cuori e la tua struttura sarà un faro per i nostri prossimi viaggi e di quelli dei nostri amici.

Struttura veramente bella immersa nel verde. Camere ampie, pulitissime e dotate di tutti i confort.
Colazione top con dolci fatti in casa, yogurt e formaggi freschi e tanta varietà di scelta.
