Located in the heart of Tuscany, just south of Siena, Monteroni d'Arbia enjoys a particularly advantageous position for discovering some of the most significant places in the Sienese territories and represents the ideal place to plan a stay in this splendid region, whether by bike, car, motorcycle, or on foot.

The MORE DI CUNA Hotel is located between the localities of Le More and Cuna and is part of the Municipality of Monteroni D'Arbia, an ancient locality of high medieval origin, at the heart of the "Crete Senesi".

In particular, our structure was born as the farm "La Strada" and owes its name to its location: at the intersection of the Via Cassia, an important road of the Roman era, and the Via Francigena, one of the routes, also known as Roman roads, that goes from Canterbury to Rome.

For over seven hundred years, this farm, with its farmhouse, stables, and crops, was made available to support the charitable and refreshment works of the Santa Maria della Scala Hospital, an important reception facility for travelers and pilgrims born in Monteroni d'Arbia.

The farmhouse was completely renovated in 2006 with particular attention to the recovery and restoration of everything that can tell a story, blending the past and the present with great respect.

Today, the MORE DI CUNA Hotel presents itself in an austere and essential way, a typical characteristic of its "age" with the unique charm of the Middle Ages.

The structure is surrounded by walls that, if crossed through the large wrought iron gate, reveal a central body and the part intended for the rooms, connected to each other by large windows through which the exclusive garden can be seen, embellished by the presence of a brick well built in the early 1800s. All around are large terraces overlooking the hills, where one can stop and enjoy the tranquility and atmosphere of this ancient place.

The hotel offers free WIFI throughout the property, very welcoming rooms with large-screen TVs, but which maintain the flavor of their past. The common areas have been carefully furnished with the passion of those who love to welcome and host.

The large parking lot is located within the property, and some covered parking spaces are also available for guests. To complete the picture, it is worth mentioning that adjacent to the hotel, there is a restaurant called "Contedino," renowned for the quality of its traditional Tuscan dishes.

Curiosity: The poet Dante Alighieri, in the tenth canto of the Divine Comedy, recalling the bloody battle of Montaperti, mentions "the slaughter and the great carnage that turned the Arbia red."
