Loved our stay at Locanda Orchidea! Dimitri our host was so friendly and inviting when we arrived, the room was absolutely spotless and very charming. The location is perfect, there is so much around you where you are staying, plus arguably one of the best gelaterias across the street! There is even a fridge outside your room based on an honour system for water etc which again shows the trust and hospitality they have for their guests. I wish we could have stayed for longer, we will definitely be returning here.

The stay at Locanda Orchidea was excellent, the attention was very friendly and professional, the facilities were modern and the charm of an old palace. Nearby, the nightlife is a bit lively, it did not particularly bother me, but it would be the only point to consider. Locanda Orchidea can be recommended and will be the place for future stays in Florence. A very cordial greeting.

Everything was perfect. Kindness and professionalism of the owner, excellent breakfast with typical products. The property is located less than five minutes walking from the cathedral and there are many places to eat, even at reasonable prices. We will definitely return.

The Locanda Orchidea is located in this splendid building with even a garden and fountain that we could see from the window of the room. The room is large, spacious and comfortable, the same goes for the bathroom. We had a great time and we will return.

Very well located in Florence, almost at a central point that allows you to have most of the monuments or points of interest within a 10 to 20 minutes walk, 20 minutes on foot from the train station. Very nice establishment in an old Florentine house with helpful and attentive staff, a very decent breakfast. The only small negative point is that I was housed on the first floor next to the breakfast room and you can hear the preparations, the people having their breakfast and the reception from 7:00 AM, it is the layout of the places that causes this but you should not hope to have a lie-in, on the one hand, you get up early to visit in this case. But the overall opinion is still positive.

The structure is located in a historic center, convenient to the city's main attractions. Precise, clear, and punctual instructions. The room is large and I would say overall clean. The bathroom needs some attention, particularly the shower. We did not like the breakfast. The manager is friendly and kind. A good place for two nights. The street it is on is noisy, but this is due to the noise, which is evidently known, in fact, there were earplugs on the nightstands, a sign of attention to guests. Overall, good quality ratio.

This accommodation would be better if there was a key code to enter the building after check-in time. We tried calling to get let into the building but as we had to call on an alternative number our call wasn't answered. Luckily for us someone was entering the building, so they let us in, otherwise I am not sure we would have gained access. Our room is off of a small entrance which also doubles as a check-in desk, which meant that we could hear everything that was happening and when they started setting up for breakfast at just gone 7am. There was a basic breakfast with most things you needed, but only scrambled eggs as a hot option and these were overcooked. You had to pay for bottled water and coffee if you wanted these as there was no facility in the room for these. A perfect location and despite the above, we would stay here again.

We are very satisfied with our stay at Locanda Orchidea. The hotel is located near the historic center (5 minutes walk from the Duomo) but in a quiet street. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is very plentiful. Excellent value for money. Luciano, the owner, is very welcoming and answered all our questions. The day we return to Florence, we already know where we will stay. We highly recommend it.

Perfect B&B in the heart of Florence - you can hardly stay more centrally. Less than 5 minutes to the Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio. 15 minutes walk from the train station. Great old house, spacious single room, everything very clean and the operator was very nice. Great breakfast and, important in the summer heat: air conditioning. Yes, the room facing the street was a bit noisy - but earplugs are available and those who want absolute silence should not stay in the city center.\nI would book there again anytime. Price-performance ratio is really sensational with early booking.

I have truly enjoyed my stay at Locanda Orchidea, in room 1. Luciano has been kind and welcoming. The Bnb is clean, has a hot shower, the bed is comfortable, and the AC is functioning. The room is much bigger than expected. The location is very good and safe; I was running late for my Uffizi timeslot but it only took 5 minutes when I walked quickly. To and fro the SMN station or piazza were also a breeze. This is my first time booking through bed-and-breakfast.it hence I was worried about the communication, but Luciano was quick in addressing via email. Will definitely stay again. Thank you for hosting me.

The only negative point is that our room faced the street and it's very noisy even with the windows closed. Otherwise everything else is perfect (cleanliness, bedding, breakfast, location, possibility to leave luggage).

I absolutely loved my stay at Locanda Orchidea Florence. The host, Luciano, was a delight. He was so helpful from the initial reservation all the way through to calling a taxi for me during checkout. The building is historic and charming, yet still has a small elevator, which was vital for me with a knee injury. The room was lovely and extremely clean! The location is great. It's less than a 10-minute walk to the Duomo, the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, and other attractions. There are many great restaurants just minutes away on foot. The only small downside is that because of its central location, it is a bit noisy at night (lots of people on the street), so I used earplugs. Otherwise, it was perfect.

My husband and I visited this fantastic B&B for a short stay in January. We were surprised at how spacious and quiet the room was, and the bed was really comfy. Breakfast was lovely and prepared with care. You are literally steps from all attractions. Highly recommended.

Central location, a short distance from the station (20 minutes on foot, less by public transport) and 5 minutes on foot from the center. There are 2 supermarkets nearby and also an ATM. The area is very quiet. The room is very clean and soundproof. Abundant breakfast. Very kind manager. Highly recommended.

I stayed at Locanda Orchidea from 7 to 9 November, with three other friends and I speak on behalf of all four of us. The property is extremely central, close to all places of interest and the Central Station. The rooms are spacious, well-furnished, and equipped with all comforts; the bathrooms are new and spacious. It is worth noting the presence in the room of a kettle with everything needed to prepare a hot drink if needed. Impeccable cleanliness, helpful and very kind staff attentive to every customer's need. Quality breakfast, with a wide variety of products, all delicious. Furthermore, there is the possibility to use in the common areas, at any time of the day and at a truly negligible price: a fridge to buy water bottles and a coffee machine with available capsules. What can I add if not that everything went very well? We stayed at Locanda Orchidea for two nights. The location is excellent as it is well connected both to tour the city center and for nightlife. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who immediately talked to us about the available services and showed us our room. As for the latter, we liked it very much as we found it very spacious and with good Florentine-style furniture; the only flaws we found were the pillows too soft, therefore lacking thickness and uncomfortable, the towel rack, as it was rusty, and the plastic soap holder that had a crack, small details that can be improved. Our stay also included a buffet breakfast, which we found very rich and varied. In conclusion, we highly recommend staying at Locanda Orchidea for both the strategic location and the treatment from the owners, and above all for the value for money.

The stay was great. Luciano, the operator, was super nice, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were clean, with a TV, air conditioning, safe, wardrobe, kettle + tea, private bathroom with toilet, bidet, and shower. The rooms were cleaned daily. For a small price, there were cool drinks and coffee daily. There is an elevator. The breakfast was good, but with a bit limited choice. However, totally sufficient.

Great location, 5 minutes walk from the Duomo and Piazza Signoria. Only 15 minutes walk from Santa Maria Novella station. Host super helpful and excellent cleanliness, with daily linen change and sanitization. The internal courtyard is also very beautiful and the building is very old (although renovated). I recommend it!

Luciano was really kind from the welcome in the structure. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed the cleanliness of the room, order, and the clean scent. The location is really great for exploring the city, central in relation to all the points and served by everything on the street where the structure is located. Finally, the breakfast was excellent and Luciano proved to be available to meet our departure needs.

Locanda Orchidea is in a great location for walking in Florence. We had no problem finding our way around to and from the location. There are plenty of restaurants tucked away in the streets surrounding it, and you will have no problem finding anything you came to see. Luciano is a great manager who communicates well with guests and can be seen throughout the day helping others and clearing tables at breakfast. He helped us from check-in to check-out and was very patient with all our questions. The room was cleaned very well and smelled wonderful whenever we returned. We would definitely come back if visiting Florence.

We stayed at this 'Locanda Orchidea' for 3 nights and we couldn't have made a better choice. Starting from the manager, Mr. Luciano, who made us feel immediately at home, thanks to his availability and professionalism. The environment is very well-kept, clean, and quiet. The morning breakfast is abundant and with a lot of choices. Not to mention the location within the city: a few steps and you reach the main attractions. We will definitely come back.

Excellent stay at the B&B Locanda Orchidea. Centrally located. Easy check-in. Friendly and helpful host. Very good breakfast. The only downside is that the street is very busy and noisy, particularly at night, but when the windows were closed, we did not find it a problem at all. Definitely recommend.

Simply a wonderful discovery! Close to all the points of interest in Florence, literally in the heart of the city but at the same time 10 minutes walk from the station. Historic structure, well maintained and very clean. The rooms are cleaned daily and have double glazed windows that allow you not to be disturbed by external noises that may be there. Breakfast is plentiful and varied. The owner, Luciano, is very kind and super helpful, really a good person. I would choose this structure a thousand times and recommend it to everyone! I will definitely come back.

We stayed for 2 nights at this Locanda Orchidea and we highly recommend it. The location is central, all the tourist attractions and even the train station are within walking distance. Step out the door and Florence is around you. The room was clean and comfortable, with a private bathroom. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, both sweet and savory. Finally, the hospitality and availability of Mr. Luciano helped make this stay truly enjoyable. Excellent value for money. We will definitely come back.

We spent 3 days in this charming historic property to visit the magnificent Florence, and that was enough to leave us reluctant to leave when our departure came. The location is perfect, away from the tourist crowds but very close to the Duomo, the center, and all the attractions that the city offers. The elegant and tasteful furnishings, reminiscent of the classic Florentine style, characterize cozy, spacious, clean rooms equipped with every comfort. In the morning, a rich breakfast awaits, with a wide selection of both sweet and savory products (the cakes are delicious!). And last, but not least, the welcome of Mr. Luciano, whom we still thank, whose kindness, friendliness, and availability make the difference in making the stay absolutely perfect. Highly recommended. I gave all 10, because we really had a good time: the room was clean and spacious in a historic setting in the heart of Florence and, as for breakfast, there was a wide choice of good things. Mr. Luciano, very helpful, also recommended and booked dinner at the osteria opposite “Corte dei Pazzi” where we ate very well, the staff was very kind and the place very nice. I highly recommend staying at “Locanda Orchidea” to visit Florence, which is a magnificent city.

We had been wanting to go to Florence for years and our 'first time' was special thanks to Mr. Luciano and his B&B! Unique professionalism, super attentive in everything. The B&B is very close to the center and we always reached everything on foot (even the station, taking a nice walk). A Bed & Breakfast located in the palace of the Donati family, with a traditional, elegant yet truly welcoming atmosphere. Just like the host who welcomed us with all the availability in the world, providing us with very useful information from the booking to better explore the city and giving us additional tips upon our arrival. The structure, spread over several floors, is clean, comfortable, and in a wonderful position to visit the historic center, being just 5 minutes (maximum) walk from the Duomo. Equipped with numerous services (wifi, kettle in the room, coffee machine and water in the common areas, heating/air conditioning, elevator...), when I have to return to Florence, I will have no reason to look for another place to stay.

The structure is very central. The extra touch is due to the technology to enter the structure and the friendliness of the manager. The double room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable; also, the windows overlooked the inner courtyard, so we didn't have noise issues during the night. Fully positive quality/price ratio, especially considering the period and the city area.\n\nThe only comment I could make concerns breakfast, a bit limited for those like me who suffer from celiac disease.
