The history of the dwelling and of our family.
Belonged to our family for six generations, it has been handed down over time preserving in itself the memory of the past and of family affections.
Today our house is called B&B Locanda Etrusca and opens its doors to guests who want to live it, even if for a short time, as we live it every day.
The preservation of the original furnishings in its rooms, the garden overlooking the surrounding hills and its centuries-old trees, the panoramic views that extend to the nearby sea, characterize the residence as a magical place to spend a wonderful holiday.
Our family will be happy to welcome you, sure that at your departure you will keep the memory of a pleasant stay.

During the summer season, breakfast is served in the garden, while during the winter season, it is served in the tavern. You will find excellent freshly baked croissants every morning from our trusted artisan pastry shop, homemade cakes, sweet and savory brioches, natural and fruit yogurts, chocolate and jams, fresh fruit, butter, cornflakes and puffed rice, fresh orange and ace juices, savory snacks, and more.
All hot drinks such as coffee, cappuccino, milk, rice or soy milk, latte macchiato, American coffee, green or black tea, herbal teas, and whatever else our guests request, are prepared and served at your table. For guests with less Mediterranean tastes and habits, we prepare omelets, boiled eggs, and more upon request. In short, "just ask" and we will fulfill your wishes.

Here is a house, ours, which dates back to the end of the 19th century and which has belonged to my family for 6 generations, practically since its construction. The former lived their lives there, the latter, who moved to the various Italian metropolises like many families for work needs, made it their summer home where the whole family gathered for the holidays.
For me, it represented the only real fixed point in my life, where I ran as soon as I finished school and stayed there until the day before the new school year began.
Here I spent the most beautiful and carefree summer holidays that a boy could imagine.
Here I keep the old friends with whom we still share the wonderful evenings over a good glass of wine in the name of unconsciousness, happiness and affection that binds us from our youth.
It took me over fifty years (almost 60 by now) to be able to crown what was my only true dream from a young age; acquire the whole possession from the rest of the family, come to live with my wife Patrizia and share their warm welcome.
With this spirit was born the decision, almost an emotional need, to transform it into a B&B and host those who appreciate its atmosphere and the beauty of "things of the past".

We were lucky to choose this place thanks to a Smartbox gift from our daughters. What can I say, the structure and the rooms correspond to how they are described and photographed on their website. The B&B is very nice, with large and clean rooms. It is located in a strategic position, a few km from the sea (Marina di Bibbona beach), and a few km from the Bolgheri area, renowned for its wines and excellent cuisine. The place is a beautiful medieval village. Excellent breakfast offered. But a perfect 10 goes to its owner Fabio and his wife. They are always present and available with simplicity and discretion. Thanks again to Fabio and Wife for their hospitality and friendliness.

We can only speak super well about it. We stayed 4 nights at Fabio's. We arrived as guests and left as friends. The hospitality was fantastic. The breakfast was very good. The wife, knowing that my husband had an intolerance to milk and dairy products, prepared the cakes, very good, only with oil. They also made us find vegan brioches and vegetable drinks. A truly appreciated attention. Everything very nice and clean. Convenient and central location. We will definitely come back. Thank you Fabio and Patrizia.

Locanda Etrusca allows for magical moments, thanks to the welcoming atmosphere, the quality of service, and the enchanting location. The owner Fabio is very friendly, he is the soul of the inn, a force of nature! Laughter guaranteed! High-quality herbal teas, pastries to die for, and above all, pet-friendly accommodation, essential for me as I have a little dog. A strategic point to reach enchanting places, such as Populonia, Bolgheri, the Yellow Caves, and the sea! Highly recommended!

E ci si rimane male, molto male. How to feel at home even though hundreds of kilometers away...\nOwners of extraordinary kindness, availability, and sympathy, lovely structure, renovated without altering its essence and enriched with distinctive and tasteful touches, very clean and welcoming with a fantastic view over the valley.\nSpecial mention deserves the breakfast with croissants of a fragrance and goodness that is hard to find even in the best bars and bistros, not to mention the slices of focaccia with raw ham and locally sourced cheese truly exquisite!

We only spent a few days but we had a great time. Structure in a period house in the center of Bibbona, there are a few stairs to climb but they keep you fit. Very well maintained and cared for, excellent breakfast and view. Bibbona is a very nice town and very convenient to the sea. The owner is very kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

I was there a few days ago with my husband at this property for a one-night weekend, but the experience was more than positive, Fabio, the owner/manager, was always available and welcoming, as well as his wife. Clean room and bathroom, abundant breakfast, and many types of hot drinks available to guests. Excellent view from the garden - where breakfast is served - overlooking the Tuscan village. The inn is in the historic center very close to the main square, and I discovered that Bibbona is a lively little village. The property also has a pool but due to the short time we had, we did not use it. Maybe next time! Because we will be back. A strategic location for those who want to spend a few relaxing days between the sea and Tuscan villages.

We only stayed one night, very positive experience, owner very helpful and friendly and equally professional. The location is very charming, in an old building right in the historical center of Bibbona. Very very positive note: the property is dog friendly, so we could stay with our little dog. Very charming property, extremely kind and helpful managers who will advise you on going to the sea or taking excursions inland. It is necessary to move around by car, but the village is in a convenient position for many itineraries and is not overly touristy. The property is in a beautiful position at the top of the historic center, so the car must be left in the parking lots below (not too far away). Comfortable bed, excellent breakfast with a view. We stayed three nights very well and for what the area offers, a couple of extra days are recommended.

It is a terrace on the beautiful landscape below. Family historic house that has preserved details of history, while not lacking all modern comforts. Fabio, the owner, is very kind, extremely helpful, ironically funny and can give advice on everything. We will be back!

We stayed for one night and our room was clean and comfortable. Fabio and Patrizia welcomed us warmly and kindly. The highlight is the small terrace with a view of the hills where breakfast is served, a little gem.

Great location, in a very beautiful village, where you can enjoy a spectacular view from the terrace. Characteristic rooms with antique furniture. The only flaw is the bathroom, which, although beautiful, is a bit small and lacks shelves to place your things. The manager is very kind, friendly, and helpful. He also gave us many tips and recommendations on places to visit and restaurants. Overall, a great experience.

We had a lovely stay at the Locanda Etrusca because it met all our expectations: a quiet and peaceful place in a charming small medieval village, spacious room and comfortable bed, breakfast served on the terrace overlooking the hilly landscape. We highly appreciated the friendliness of the host, Fabio, always available and smiling. Convenient to have the possibility, in the evening, to enjoy Tuscan culinary specialties directly in the inn. We will fondly remember the conversations with the other guests and the friendly atmosphere that was created. The sea is only a few kilometers away and easily accessible. Highly recommended.

Nothing to say! Five-day stay in September. An ancient dwelling in the heart of the village of Bibbona, with a stunning panoramic view towards Volterra. Carefully and tastefully renovated. Good breakfast to have in the garden with a small pool and panoramic view. Really pleasant welcome. If desired, dinner can be had in the hotel restaurant. We had a good time and plan to return for short weekends.

We stayed 3 nights at Locanda Etrusca and we had a great time. The owners are affable and available for every request. The room was quiet and tastefully furnished, although a bit small and without the possibility of hanging out the swimsuits and beach towels upon return from the beach, which we left near the pool, also small but very clean and refreshing at the end of the day. It was a good solution. We hope to come back soon. Thank you.

Friendly and laid-back owners, family-run inn, in the historic center of Bibbona and a few minutes drive from the sea. The property, largely renovated, maintains an identity of a distant past and conceals a romantic outdoor space with a view of the Tuscan hills. This identity is reaffirmed by a typical menu. Overall, we had a pleasant stay in a very nice property. The price of both the rooms and the restaurant is a bit excessive, and the breakfast is a bit too "international".

Very helpful and nice hosts but... We were placed in the first room as soon as we entered on the ground floor and could hear all the conversations of the neighborhood/passersby. Our SmartBox included 2 nights with breakfasts and dinners. Dinner had a budget of €14 per person (1 appetizer and a main course in total for two), madness... Everything else obviously excluded. The first dinner took place on the terrace with a large group that made the evening not very serene and pleasant due to the noise and more. On the first night the same group from dinner, quite tipsy, tried to open the door of our room several times, well after midnight. In this case, there were no reprimands from the owner. The following morning the breakfast was sufficient. I highly recommend for better management of the next SmartBoxes to expand the menu and quantities, because a dinner of €14 per person is almost inadequate to the area which instead has a varied and suitable offer for tourism.

La locanda si trova in pieno centro storico e all'apice dell'antico borgo di Bibbona, la vostra stanza si affaccia sulla piazza principale dove la sera alcuni pensionati trovano refrigerio seduti sulle panchine chiaccherando tra di loro. Ci spiace che il brusio del loro dialogare vi sia risultato sgradevole e fastidioso. Forse perchè abituati ai rumori cittadini? 3. Cosa contenesse il vostro SmartBox era a vostra conoscenza perchè ben specificato nel cofanetto regalo e perchè da noi ribadito telefonicamente all'atto della sua prenotazione. La considerazione poi sulla sua adeguatezza o meno è fatto soggettivo e comunque comprendeva un tagliere completo di 9 tipi di salumi, 3 tipi di formaggi diversi, 2 crostini toscani, sott'oli e sott'aceti vari, tutti prodotti artgianali a km 0, e una grigliata mista di maiale. Entrambe le portate da condividere. A menù queste costituiscono un costo di 28€. da ripetersi nella seconda cena per complessive 56€ per due cene. A queste si aggiungano le due notti di pernottamento in camera matrimoniale comprese le prime colazioni. Facciamo notare che il valore (si badi bene che ciò non corrisponde a quanto a noi riconosciuto da Smartbox) commerciale del cofanetto da lei utilizzato è di 220/230€. Facciamo altresì notare che la nostra è attività stagionale essendo situata in località balneare e che le è stato accettato il cofanetto con quanto in esso contenuto nelle date del 24 e 25 giugno (Venerdì e Sabato), ossia in un week-end di alta stagione, cosa per niente comune a tutte le strutture ricettive stagionali balneari. 4. Ci spiace per la sgradevolezza derivata dalla presenza del gruppo, non credevamo però che il suo cofanetto le concedesse anche l'esclusività della cena in terrazza. Anche a noi è capitato di cenare in ristoranti nella stessa sera in cui magari veniva festeggiato un compleanno o altri eventi conviviali che elevassero i toni un poco più alti del normale, senza che ciò influisse sul nostro giudizio del ristorante stesso. 5. Una volta ci è successo di sbagliare stanza in un albergo dove alloggiavamo, tentando di aprire una porta che non era quella della nostra. Resoci conto dell'errore ci siamo diretti verso la giusta porta. Al mattino successivo non siamo stati ne redarguiti e nessuno ha fatto notare l'ingenuo incidente al gestore. E comunque, dietro sua puntuale segnalazione, abbiamo fatto presente in separata sede al gruppo l'accaduto, ricevendo dallo stesso le scuse per l'inconveniente (ovviamente, essendo stata la vostra porta chiusa dall'interno, giova ricordare, che nessuno è entrato in camera vostra.) Ma evidentemente forse lei avrebbe gradito di più una reprimenda pubblica? 6. Grazie per il voto di sufficienza riferito alla colazione. Ci limitiamo a suggerire un confronto con i giudizi espressi su Google dagli altri ospiti. 7. La ringrazio per il prezioso consiglio e ci permettiamo di suggerirne alcuni anche noi: 1. Legga attentamento quanto contenuto nei cofanetti Smartbox qualora ne ricevesse in dono altri e ne confronti il suo contenuto con il gestore prima di prenotare, così come noi abbiamo fatto noi con lei. 2. Si accerti che nel periodo di sua permanenza non vi siano in concomitanza soggiorni o cene di gruppi. 3. Si accerti preventivamente della presenza o meno di schiamazzi di pensionati notoriamente chiassosi fino a notte inoltrata. Chiudiamo con l'amara riflessione sull'oppurtunità di accettare o meno gli Smartbox anche in alta stagione, perchè a volte pare scortese rifiutarli, riservando a periodi di bassa stagione il loro utilizzo. In tantissime occasioni fortunatamente la loro accettazione ha rappresentato una esperienza positiva sia per l'ospite che per noi gestori. Non in questo caso. Grazie

A queste si aggiungano le due notti di pernottamento in camera matrimoniale comprese le prime colazioni. Facciamo notare che il valore (si badi bene che ciò non corrisponde a quanto a noi riconosciuto da Smartbox) commerciale del cofanetto da lei utilizzato è di 220/230€. Facciamo altresì notare che la nostra è attività stagionale essendo situata in località balneare e che le è stato accettato il cofanetto con quanto in esso contenuto nelle date del 24 e 25 giugno (Venerdì e Sabato), ossia in un week-end di alta stagione, cosa per niente comune a tutte le strutture ricettive stagionali balneari. 4. Ci spiace per la sgradevolezza derivata dalla presenza del gruppo, non credevamo però che il suo cofanetto le concedesse anche l'esclusività della cena in terrazza. Anche a noi è capitato di cenare in ristoranti nella stessa sera in cui magari veniva festeggiato un compleanno o altri eventi conviviali che elevassero i toni un poco più alti del normale, senza che ciò influisse sul nostro giudizio del ristorante stesso. 5. Una volta ci è successo di sbagliare stanza in un albergo dove alloggiavamo, tentando di aprire una porta che non era quella della nostra. Resoci conto dell'errore ci siamo diretti verso la giusta porta. Al mattino successivo non siamo stati ne redarguiti e nessuno ha fatto notare l'ingenuo incidente al gestore. E comunque, dietro sua puntuale segnalazione, abbiamo fatto presente in separata sede al gruppo l'accaduto, ricevendo dallo stesso le scuse per l'inconveniente (ovviamente, essendo stata la vostra porta chiusa dall'interno, giova ricordare, che nessuno è entrato in camera vostra.) Ma evidentemente forse lei avrebbe gradito di più una reprimenda pubblica? 6. Grazie per il voto di sufficienza riferito alla colazione. Ci limitiamo a suggerire un confronto con i giudizi espressi su Google dagli altri ospiti. 7. La ringrazio per il prezioso consiglio e ci permettiamo di suggerirne alcuni anche noi: 1. Legga attentamento quanto contenuto nei cofanetti Smartbox qualora ne ricevesse in dono altri e ne confronti il suo contenuto con il gestore prima di prenotare, così come noi abbiamo fatto noi con lei. 2. Si accerti che nel periodo di sua permanenza non vi siano in concomitanza soggiorni o cene di gruppi. 3. Si accerti preventivamente della presenza o meno di schiamazzi di pensionati notoriamente chiassosi fino a notte inoltrata. Chiudiamo con l'amara riflessione sull'oppurtunità di accettare o meno gli Smartbox anche in alta stagione, perchè a volte pare scortese rifiutarli, riservando a periodi di bassa stagione il loro utilizzo. In tantissime occasioni fortunatamente la loro accettazione ha rappresentato una esperienza positiva sia per l'ospite che per noi gestori. Non in questo caso. Grazie

We stayed at Locanda Etrusca in the historic center of Bibbona for 7 days. A strategic point to visit historic villages and cities in the surroundings and the beautiful coastline. We had a great time. The room was furnished in Tuscan style, clean, bright. Top breakfast, served on a large terrace with a splendid view of the hills. Excellent dinner with grilled dishes and typical Tuscan products. Fabio and his wife Patrizia are two special people, very friendly, caring, and passionate. Every day they gave us information on places and cities to visit with historical insights. We will be back as soon as possible!

We stayed with my wife for a weekend in the Marina di Cecina area and ended up at this very charming Bed and Breakfast in the hills of Bibbona. The structure is super welcoming and immediately catapults you for its style at the end of the 19th century. Mrs. Patrizia and Mr. Fabio, the hosts, make you feel at home right away thanks to their availability and friendliness. In the evening, we had dinner there, having a complete meal (appetizer, first course, second course, and dessert). All fresh, genuine products at zero kilometers from the local tradition. House wine and we spent an absolutely fair price for the quantity and quality of what we ate. Highly recommended structure!

The 'Locanda Etrusca' has the charm of a house from another time: overlooking the small square in the heart of Bibbona, it has rooms furnished with 'grandma's dresser' and wrought iron beds and, above all, a terrace with a splendid view of the Tuscan hills, where in summer you can have breakfast and dine very pleasantly, tasting grilled meat and platters of cheeses and cold cuts (all of excellent quality). The hospitality of Fabio and his wife is simply exquisite.

I stayed for one night in July 2021. I had a great time, it's a very family-friendly environment. The owner went out of his way for every need. The outdoor terrace with a view of the countryside for breakfast/dinner is very beautiful. There is also the possibility to stop for dinner, all dishes are cooked with quality local products. I tried a platter of cold cuts and cheeses, ravioli, and sliced beef, all excellent. The atmosphere is very peaceful as it is located in the historic center of Bibbona. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Locanda Etrusca. I hope to return soon.

The Locanda Etrusca is located in a historic building in Bibbona. It is managed by Fabio and his wife - very kind and helpful people. The Lola room where I stayed would need some work on the electrical system and furniture. I didn't like the breakfast... with the slices of counted bread and the list of wrapped industrial brioches. A homemade tart would be enough. It can be improved.

Solo alcune precisazioni e aggiornamenti: - Nell'inverno del 2022, unitamente a tutta la pavimentazione di cotto fatto a mano e all'impianto di aria condizionata in tutte le camere e nelle zone comuni, è stato realizzato anche il nuovo inpianto elettrico. - Nella colazione sono previste brioches fresche che ogni mattina io personalmente vado a prendere in pasticceria e che godono dell'apprezzamento di tutti. Le industriali sono solo quelle salate per chi volesse alternarle a quelle dolci. Di pane ne mettiamo sempre in abbondanza, puoò essere che stesse per finire al suo arrivo e, per nostra colpa, non ce ne siamo accorti in tempo. Magari bastava chiedercelo. Comunque le chiediamo scusa per la manchevolezza e la ringraziamo per il resto dei suoi commenti. Grazie

Solo alcune precisazioni e aggiornamenti: - Nell'inverno del 2022, unitamente a tutta la pavimentazione di cotto fatto a mano e all'impianto di aria condizionata in tutte le camere e nelle zone comuni, è stato realizzato anche il nuovo inpianto elettrico. - Nella colazione sono previste brioches fresche che ogni mattina io personalmente vado a prendere in pasticceria e che godono dell'apprezzamento di tutti. Le industriali sono solo quelle salate per chi volesse alternarle a quelle dolci. Di pane ne mettiamo sempre in abbondanza, puoò essere che stesse per finire al suo arrivo e, per nostra colpa, non ce ne siamo accorti in tempo. Magari bastava chiedercelo. Comunque le chiediamo scusa per la manchevolezza e la ringraziamo per il resto dei suoi commenti. Grazie

Cozy, warm, clean, and fragrant structure. Carefully furnished down to the smallest details. You feel immersed in a relaxing environment that smells of ancient times just like the village. A terrace with a view of the lush hill and rich in various species of birds that provide a soundtrack with their songs during breakfast and dinner. You can also spend pleasant moments in the part of the structure where the pool is located. Fabio and his wife, the managers, are available, kind, caring, and hospitable. It was pleasant, cheerful, and interesting to interact with them. My husband and I highly recommend dining on the terrace; you will be thrilled by the high quality of the products that will be served to you: a platter of cold cuts, tastings of various pecorino cheeses, excellent and exquisite grilled meat, excellent pici cacio e pepe, and Maremma ravioli. Everything is the result of careful research and selection by Fabio, who has favored artisanal preparations that have been passed down for generations and require a lot of time and patience. We will definitely return.

The only downside is the cot for the baby, which is a mobile bed but has a too soft mattress and you don't sleep comfortably. Looking for a place to sleep for one night, we stumbled upon this Inn by chance. The first phone contact felt like we already knew each other, we were very warmly invited to dinner even though it was late and the place was almost full, among strangers and after just a few minutes thanks to the owner Fabio, we felt part of a group sharing a splendid barbecue of local meats with a starter of cold cuts and cheeses always from the area, really excellent. Locanda Etrusca is a great property located in the historic center of the village of Bibbona. It is possible to load/unload luggage and people in front of the b&b, the parking is located in a square below, but it is still convenient, just a few steps uphill and you're there. The terrace for breakfast and dinners offers a beautiful view of the green hills in the area! Mr. Fabio and his wife were very kind in fulfilling our requests. I highly recommend this property! It is also a great starting point to visit the surroundings (Bolgheri, Castagneto Carducci, Marina di Bibbona etc.). We will be back!

Arroccato sulla sommità del borgo antico di Bibbona, il B&B Locanda Estrusca offre una sistemazione confortevole e tranquilla in una posizione che è un ottimo punto di partenza per visitare il litorale della Costa degli Etruschi ma anche celebri mete toscane quali Volterra, San Gimignano, Populonia.
L'accoglienza di Fabio e Patrizia è fantastica (anche per gli ospiti che arrivano con un pacchetto Smartbox).
La cena con tagliere di prodotti locali e carne alla brace è qualcosa che ci resterà a lungo nel cuore, così come il prezioso aiuto per risolvere il problema della batteria della nostra auto, che pensò bene di defungere la mattina della nostra partenza. In sintesi, quella della Locanda Etrusca è un'esperienza che ricorderemo con affetto e che ci sentiamo di consigliare.
