Description

The Albergaccio is an ancient historical building completely restored, built in Middle Ages and used in medieval sienese republic as a prison.

It is located only 2.8 km. outside the city-walls, and offers characteristic apartments from 2 to 5 people or double and single rooms with original beamed ceilings, ancient arches and wrought iron. The apartments have one, two or three bedrooms, one or two bathrooms, one living room with fully equipped kitchen and SAT-TV.

The Albergaccio, faced on the sienese country-hills and joined to the city-centre by minibus, offers also empty spaces in the garden where's available free wifi and private parking: it’s a perfect and comfortable solution for couples, groups of people and families on holiday.

The Albergaccio and the Holiday Homes Albergaccio are professional properties. Guests will enjoy an independent stay; the owner lives 20 metres far, ensuring full assistance 24 hours a day.

50 metres far are shops, restaurant, pizzeria, and the minibus stop lets easy getting to the historical centre in only 5-10 minutes.

My name is Daniela and I was born in Albergaccio, a historic medieval building where my entire family has lived for four generations, starting with my grandparents.

I love Siena, its history, literature, and the illustrious figures who have made my city great over the centuries.

I love this countryside, these ancient walls that my parents have worked hard to restore, ensuring that an important piece of Sienese history is not lost, and for which I am infinitely grateful.

Since 1980, we have been committed to hospitality and we strive to make known and appreciated to those who come to visit us, the splendid things that Siena and its surroundings offer.

You will find availability, fair prices, courtesy, and a peaceful environment for your vacation in Siena.

Only 2,8 Km. off the the old city, in the closer country to the historical centre, you can choose a room or an entire apartment faced on the beautiful countryside.

Located on the ancient Cassia street, since the Roman Age the most important access to Siena, easy to reach by car, bike, bus, it's frequently joined with the train station and all the renowned towns around.

Important site for pilgrims walking along the Francigena way.

One of the most recommended B&B accommodations in Siena. Very friendly and accommodating host, clean and quiet rooms with parking, and in less than 15 minutes you can reach the accommodation with the small regional bus right in the center of Siena. Anytime again.

Quiet and restful environment, kind and discreet staff. Good location, almost close to the historic center. Very satisfied. Our stay was delightful. Daniela was very inviting and informative, as was her son Lorenzo. A beautiful property well taken care of. My only suggestion might be a hook in the bathroom to hang your towels and a shower head adjustment. We would definitely stay again.

I stayed 2 nights and it was more than fine for my needs. The structure offers the necessary comforts and even though it is located outside the historical center, every 15 minutes you have the possibility to take a bus to reach every part of the city. I found the place very peaceful to relax, read, or study. The staff is kind and always available!

The managers are really delightful! They welcome you with so much sympathy and cordiality. They give many indications and are available for everything! The rooms are very clean and the apartments are very nice. The location is strategic because with a shuttle that arrives in the center of Siena in 10 minutes, very convenient without stress for parking, you experience Siena in the best way! The only flaw is the dated mattress.

Clean room, very kind and helpful managers. Beautiful structure with parking close to the bus stop that takes you to the center. If I go back to Siena, I will definitely stay at L'Albergaccio again. I also recommend it to friends!
