Description

The Yellow House is located in a very peaceful area, surrounded by greenery and the silence of the open countryside, an excellent location for those who desire total relaxation.

It can be reached in 3 minutes from the A12 motorway exit of Carrara. In just 3 minutes by car, you can reach free or private beaches, the exhibition center, or the center of Marina for shopping, taking secondary roads without traffic. There are also a few bicycles available, depending on availability at the moment.

The car parking is located in the inner courtyard and is part of a vast 4,000 square meter garden with a pool (access is NOT allowed for safety reasons). Tree-lined and grassy areas surround the Yellow House. The rooms are all easily accessible, with independent entrances, and from them, you can access the bright breakfast area located in the common living room or the wisteria-covered pergola terrace or the sun terrace.

ATTENTION! We accept reservations for a minimum of 2 nights. The minimum rate applies to stays of 2 nights or more, even for 1 night with a late checkout.

So simple yet sufficient, with everything you need: liquid foods such as milk, coffee, tea, juices, yogurt, honey, and jams, and solid foods such as biscuits, croissants, toasted slices, cornflakes, and flakes.. PLEASE NOTE: unfortunately, as you all know, the law requires that all foods for B&Bs be pre-packaged! However, we are available to accommodate your specific requests. We will serve you at the previously agreed time, as there is no common buffet here.

The Yellow House is located in the green countryside of northern Tuscany, in the municipality of Carrara, in the province of Massa-Carrara, just a few meters from the Ligurian border. It is 3 minutes away from the Carrara highway exit and approximately 1 km from the sea. Carrara is 5 km away, and Marina di Carrara is 1. 5 km away. There are many points of interest in the area, including the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Ligurian Sea, as well as the mountains, the Apuan Alps, which are made of white marble (which can also be admired from here!). A little further away, there is the Tusco-Emilian Apennines, where you can even go skiing! The cities of northern Tuscany, such as Pisa, Lucca, Livorno, and Florence, are very close, as well as the Gulf of Poets in Liguria, with Portovenere and the famous Cinque Terre. Sarzana is 10 km away, La Spezia and the Gulf of Poets are 20 km away, Versilia, Pietrasanta, and Forte dei Marmi are 15 km away, and the Cinque Terre are from 30 to 40 km away. Lucca, Pisa, Livorno are 50 km away, and Florence is 120 km away. Carrara is famous for its marble, and the territory is beautiful with its combination of sea and magnificent mountains, the Apuan Alps. Just a few kilometers from Carrara, there is the village of Colonnata, famous for its Lardo Dop. The Fiere area, where various events are held throughout the year, is 1. 5 km away.

We spent a weekend here to be close to Forte dei Marmi. The location is very convenient near the highway. La Casa Giallina is very nice, well-kept and clean. The owner is very kind and helpful. We really enjoyed ourselves, in total relaxation.

Great stay at La Casa Giallina, in a quiet area with a very pleasant garden. Convenient location, quickly reachable from the highway exit, restaurants and center just a few kilometers away. Everything very well-kept and clean. Francesco, a welcoming and attentive host. Spacious room, new and spacious bathroom, common area with a small living room and kitchen, convenient internal parking.

Convenient structure for both the sea and the highway, both reachable in 5 minutes. Spacious, clean and tidy room, clothes rack available and private parking adjacent. Very kind and helpful manager deserving honesty reward. We had a good time and recommend it. Family trip with a small child in tow.

The place is really nice, the peace and tranquility of the countryside 5 minutes by bike from the sea, but... Let's start with the cleanliness: in the bathroom there were practically empty bottles of shower gel, soap, and a large USED soap in the soap dish; the musty/moldy smell of the wardrobe made it unusable. The window in the room is equipped with a mosquito net, with a few small holes, while the window in the bathroom (which logically is opened more often) does not have one. Moving on to breakfast: packaged croissants (due to Covid19 regulations), but jams, honey, and butter in small bowls, really?!?; not a bottle of water, juice, or yogurt. The sugar bowl with brown sugar, which contained the amount of only one teaspoon nicely encrusted on the bottom, went back and forth for three days from the breakfast room to the host's kitchen. The bikes, of which I had made sure were available and defined by the owner as 'a bit old for anti-theft,' had not even been checked after the previous guests: flat tires and my husband's bike didn't brake. The pool: it was specified that it could not be used due to Covid19 safety, but after August 6th the ordinance of the Tuscany region allowed its use to guests of accommodation facilities with a green pass and following the rules of use. So remove the photo from the B&B presentation or organize to allow its use! We often go to B&Bs, but we had never experienced such little attention to those small details that pamper the guest and make them feel on vacation... what a shame...

Io ci vedo solo: vendetta! tremenda vendetta! A parte la dimenticanza di 1 flacone di shampo iniziato nella doccia il resto sono tutte fantasie di ripicca per non avervi concesso uso piscina (infatti voto 4 al gestore!) e poi ingrati come mai nessuno potevate esprimere i vostri problemi subito... comunque: A mai più...

The place is nice, new, and clean. It's a shame that due to Covid restrictions, the pool cannot be used, and there are no fresh croissants in the morning. Instead, they serve jam and honey (wildflower) in non-original containers, without being able to see the brand, expiry date, and ingredients. Nutella was also missing (darn it). The description mentions 'possibility of bicycles', but it turns out they are for a fee, not even quantified, with a surprise bill at the end of the vacation. It would be an added value since to reach every point of interest you need to take the car, nothing insurmountable. I would still come back.

Ma perché le cose non le dite quando siete qui?E Oltretutto senza ragione perché: la piscina non mai è stata a disposizione pubblica, i cibi sono preconfezionati per legge e non freschi di forno, le bici sono sempre gratis dove ha sentito che erano a pagamento? e poi la nutella bastava solo chiederla come anche i vasetti originali di marmellata, e poi proprio non capisco dove ha covato: conto a sorpresa? ma se c'è il tariffario!

Beautiful structure and very kind host, the bicycles they provided us with were very useful. Shame we couldn't use the pool (it is clearly specified that it cannot be used in the accommodation description but I wouldn't put it in the photos, it could attract erroneously).

Beautiful property, located in a very quiet area but still only 2 km from the sea. I recommend it to all couples and families who want to stay at La Casa Giallina, a new structure with a beautiful garden. Inside, it has parking space. The breakfast is simple but has everything you need. Lastly, the owner is a very kind and cultured person, willing to give suggestions on places to visit.

The structure is new and tasteful, the ground floor annex consists of two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, entrance, and living room with a kitchen to be specified at the time of booking if desired. Great solution for two couples of friends or a family unit. The entire B&B is surrounded by greenery and located in a very quiet area. Truly close to the beaches, both free and paid, of Marina di Carrara (two minutes by car). The B&B also has a pool, as shown in the photos, but its use is regulated. If you want to use it constantly during your stay, I suggest specifying it at the time of booking. The breakfast is sufficient, but nothing special. Milk and coffee with biscuits, cake, and brioche, all packaged. I would say there is ample room for improvement. Impeccable cleanliness. The manager is friendly and unobtrusive, respects the privacy of guests but is always available in case of need. The quality/price ratio is really great and I recommend this place to those who, like us, were looking for something quiet but close to the sea. I thank Mr. Francesco for his hospitality.

Struttura molto bella e in posizione tranquilla, situata a pochi minuti in auto dalla spiaggia libera. Dista pochi minuti dall'autostrada e dalle principali strade, cosa che facilita gita anche fuori porta. Ci siamo trovati molto bene e lo consigliamo sicuramente.
