The bed & breakfast "Il Vado" is located in a splendid stone villa that will allow you to have an unforgettable stay. At 700 meters above sea level, it will seem like you are staying in an oasis of peace and tranquility surrounded by untouched nature.

You can combine the pleasure of the mountain with excursions in the Falterona National Park with numerous sports activities such as tennis, trekking, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing, and mushroom picking! Furthermore, for those who enjoy immersing themselves in culture, Florence, the city of art par excellence, is less than 45 km away. For motor enthusiasts, the Mugello Circuit is just around the corner.

In the garden that surrounds the villa, where you can find a swimming pool, ping-pong, and table football, there are spaces equipped for meditative moments of tranquility or for sunbathing. The villa has a characteristic breakfast room with Tuscan specialties, where you can enjoy breakfast with the intimacy of a fireplace, or directly on the terrace with a view of Mount Falterona during the summer months.

My name is Susanna and I manage, along with my husband Giuseppe, the B&B "Il Vado". We started this adventure 10 years ago when we decided to renovate my father's old vacation home built in the 60s. After adding much needed heating system, fixing the roof and making some improvements, we thought the best way to complete the work was to open a business that would allow us to finance the renovation and at the same time offer others the opportunity to enjoy this little piece of paradise!

We were two couples and we had a great time. The hosts were very helpful, they dedicated time and attention to us and welcomed us warmly, making us feel completely at ease; we spent a relaxing and pleasant evening in their company, receiving many interesting information about the history of the place and its surroundings. A nice little place for those who love tranquility and nature. Giuseppe and Susanna are truly delightful and strive to make everything simple and pleasant. Immersed in a chestnut forest, with an adjacent stream and terrace for breakfast. The village is a few minutes away and reachable on foot.

Beautiful mountain retreat a hop and a skip from Florence. Lovely B&B, great host, good base for great bush-walking and all in a beautiful village with a highly recommended osteria for dinner. We will be back.

Extremely pleasant and relaxing stay. Quiet environment, easily reachable and starting point for many walks. We were there in spring, but also in summer, being at altitude, it is ideal for enjoying a few days of relaxation in contact with nature. The facility also provides breakfast and it is very abundant, with homemade cakes and jams. For other meals, it is possible to eat, following the manager's indications, at restaurants or taverns in the area, always very good and with an excellent quality/price ratio. Absolutely worth trying.
