Description
“Il Podere della Strega” is a farmhouse which was built at the end of the 17th century. It has recently been lovingly restored, in order to maintain the original structure but ensure all the necessary comforts for guests. The house is surrounded by a large olive grove, with a unique, incomparable view over the city of Siena.
Inside, the house contains carefully selected furniture, including items belonging to the owner’s family. In addition to the six bedrooms, there are also two sitting rooms for guests to use, a dining room and two kitchens where breakfast is prepared. To the right of the house is a large covered patio where breakfast is served during the summer months. To the left of the house is “Villa la Strega” which can be booked.
In front of the house, surrounded by the greenery of the olive grove, is an in-ground saltwater swimming pool, from which guests can enjoy the breathtaking views.
Inside, the house contains carefully selected furniture, including items belonging to the owner’s family. In addition to the six bedrooms, there are also two sitting rooms for guests to use, a dining room and two kitchens where breakfast is prepared. To the right of the house is a large covered patio where breakfast is served during the summer months. To the left of the house is “Villa la Strega” which can be booked.

In winter, breakfast is served the first floor dining room, with beautiful views over Siena, while in summer there's big table outdoor.
Guests can choose between freshly baked croissants, often homemade cookies or cakes, cereals and toast, to be accompanied with a selection of homemade jams and local honey.
Also available are seasonal fresh fruit, yogurt, fruit juices and milk, and - for connoisseurs - Tuscan meats and cheeses, possibly to be tasted with some extra virgin olive oil of our own production.
The landlady will prepare you coffee, espresso, cappuccino or tea, according to your preferences.

The property is located in a beautiful position on the hills of Siena with a breathtaking view. The plus is the large flowering garden with an infinity pool, sun loungers, and umbrellas. The breakfast was good and we especially appreciated the variety of fruit offered daily. The owners are always generous with advice and generally available. Unfortunately, the downside was our room, the cleaning was not attentive and needs improvement and especially the third bed (single bed) was unacceptable as it was too low. With a missing slat and a very thin mattress. Practically, we rested little and poorly, and then we decided to alternate a night each to share the problem.

Stunning location just outside of Siena. The beautiful setting with a spectacular pool surrounded by greenery. The breakfast is excellent with products made by the very friendly owners. Excellent oil produced by them. Will definitely come back.

The structure is very beautiful and the view over Siena is spectacular. The owners are kind and helpful, the breakfast is plentiful. The only point of attention to report is the very narrow access road to the structure.
