Description

The B&B Il Giglio Guest House is located in the center, in a strategic location, just a 5-minute walk from the central railway station of Florence Santa Maria Novella, Fortezza da Basso, Congress Palace, Leopolda station, and a 10-minute walk from the Duomo square with the cathedral and Giotto's bell tower. It is also 15 minutes away from Piazza Signoria with its majestic Palazzo Vecchio and the splendid Loggia dei Lanci, which houses wonderful masterpieces of classical culture.

The recently renovated environment is modern and carefully designed in every detail. It is an ideal, quiet, and well-kept place to retreat after a full day of visiting wonderful museums, squares, and historic markets.

All rooms are spacious, carefully designed with modern elements, and equipped with a courtesy tray with tea and coffee, a flat-screen TV, free WiFi, a private bathroom, air conditioning, heating, a mini-fridge, bed linen, bathroom linen, a bathroom set, and a hairdryer.

There are no shared spaces with owners and other guests. At check-in, you will be given the keys to the GIGLIO GUEST HOUSE for your total independence.

Hi, I'm Elina. I worked for many years with the public in contact with tourists in a pastry shop in the wonderful area of ??Florence called San Frediano. I have always dreamed of having my own structure to host tourists and make them feel at home. Now I have this structure that I adore and I make it possible to fulfill all my wishes.

The structure is comfortable, clean, and well organized. The only drawback, although it caused a huge inconvenience, is the heating system that could not be turned off, and it prevented us from sleeping decently.

The structure is very clean and equipped with all the necessary comforts for a traveler. The very close location to the station and the fortress made our movements simple and fast. The lady was available to meet our schedules. I would come back to this structure, I recommend it.

Even though I stayed for just one night, I can definitely recommend Il Giglio Guest House. The room was extremely clean and fully equipped, even the colors make everything warmer and more welcoming. The hostess is punctual and very helpful in giving you tips on how to make the most of this beautiful city. Everything was perfect. I will be back soon... hopefully for a few more days.

We had a great stay in Florence and Tuscany, thanks to the ideal location of the accommodation (6 minutes walk from Santa Maria Novella station, 10-20 minutes from tourist attractions, 100 meters from the tram stop to the airport), and the quality of the accommodation: renovated and well-appointed apartment, with a spacious bedroom, a dining area/kitchenette, and a beautiful bathroom. The noise from the avenue is well attenuated by the double glazing of the windows. Elina's welcome was very warm and efficient. We will recommend this address to our friends!

Pleasant welcome from the owner, smiling, gave us a map of the city with personalized advice. Only the parking nearby can be tricky. We parked our vehicle about 500m away in an underground parking for 35 euros per night.

I stayed for 2 nights at this property very close to the center of Florence. It is located about 10/15 minutes walk from the main attractions of the center and 5 minutes from the SMN station. The room was very nice and clean, with modern furnishings. My room, in particular, also had a kitchen and many other amenities. The only thing we didn't find comfortable was the inability to leave our luggage after check-out, which would have been very convenient since we had to vacate the room at 10 in the morning and the train was at 8 pm. We had to use a paid luggage storage service near the station. Otherwise, everything was perfect. Highly recommended!
