Description
The beautiful unspoiled landscapes offer opportunities for walking in the absolute silence and respect for nature to find relaxation and physical well-being that only the Maremma has to offer.
The Farm on cellars are situated only 5 km from Terme di Saturnia half way between Mount Amiata and the Argentario peninsula, known popular tourist destinations around the world.
A large garden, evergreen, wonderful place to spend afternoons at the foot of a large oak tree, a veritable monument of rare natural beauty surrounding the farm.
The structure is isolated from the rest of the company to ensure more privacy, but if you want a few steps away is the main house of the Company, in which you can taste the wine, "The Cantiniere" we produce over 30 years.
The farm Poggio Mario was born about one hundred years ago and covers 30 acres on the beautiful hills of Maremma.
We deal mainly with the processing and production of plant and animal origin.
The farm is also involved in direct sales of farm products, wine IGT typical Morellino (either bulk or bottled) and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
The farm includes more Poggio Mario land plots with crops and structures of various types, such as stables for the cattle, and the cellar of the historic building of the factor established in 1908.
After three generations, today this company continues to produce the best in the full respect of nature, trying to give the best to our customers.

Legend has it that the thunder was born on the earth thrown from the god Saturn
The myth goes that one day Saturn was angry with men, constantly at war with them, he took a thunderbolt and hurled it on the ground, making gushing from the crater of a volcano and sulphurous warm water that enveloped everything and everything quieted down.
From that cozy womb were born men wiser and happier. Theatre of the legend was the heart of the Maremma Tuscany, Saturnia, where the water gushes at a rate of 800 liters per second at a temperature of 37 °.
During the Middle Ages, the land suffered numerous attacks by Maremma Orvieto and Siena. Despite the feudal lords of the place had built defensive fortifications, the Maremma and no one was conquered, for many centuries, was anxious to continue rehabilitation work started by the Etruscans and Romans.
Only in 1828 the Duke Leopold II gave way to new drainage works. The Maremma was repopulated and its inhabitants were recognized health care. Today, many tourists spend their holidays in Tuscany. To welcome them here is the most beautiful countryside, the charming Etruscan and Roman ruins and the splendor of medieval castles.

What guests say
Reviews highlight the warm and attentive hospitality of the hosts, Silvia and Riccardo. Guests consistently praise the cleanliness, peaceful setting surrounded by nature, and the convenient location close to the Saturnia thermal baths and the Mulino waterfalls. The generous homemade breakfast—featuring cakes, jams, yogurt, fresh ricotta, and milk—stands out as a major plus. The beautiful landscape, relaxing atmosphere, and green spaces are often mentioned. While a few reviews note the lack of air conditioning or modest room sizes, overall the property is rated very positively. It's particularly recommended for those seeking quiet, authentic hospitality in a natural setting.

Riccardo e Silvia.
