A warm welcome from ‘Hostal B&B I Due Oleandri’.
We are situated in the center of Marina di Carrara, three blocks from the beach and from Carrara Fiere. The house is from the 900’s, it has a modestly beautiful front garden with a bigger one at the back and
It’s a relaxing and peaceful eco-hostel with special interests of preserving sustainable tourism and eco-compatability, from its breakfasts, to healthy activities like yoga which all our guests will be encouraged to participate from the Spring 2014.
The garden has an orchard, shade and the products are 100% organic. Breakfast are available for vegetarians, vegans and with no gluten. Each apartment has a double bed, a toilet a dining room, a small kitchen and terrace.
It’s our pleasure to give any tourist information regarding ‘Marina di Carrara’ and its surroundings.
Close to Carrara there many wonderful places like "Le Cinque Terre", "Versilia" and the little towns of Lerici and Portovenere.
It is higly recommended that you visit the ‘Marmo di Carrera mines’, which are famous all over the world. The Apuanas Alps Natural Park is excellent for catching breathtaking sceneries.

Our breakfasts are filled with organic products, some of which are "Fairtrade" certified - a fair and ethical trade that guarantees fair prices for farmers in the global south and dignified working conditions.
We provide everything necessary for breakfast inside each guest's apartment, allowing them complete freedom and no time restrictions! You will find milk, butter, jams, yogurt, fruit juices, water, fresh fruit, coffee in both pods and powder form (for those who love moka). You will have baguettes, biscuits, and various types of snacks from Alce Nero, La Città Del Sole, Le Piumette, Ecor, Vivi Verde, and Le Moulin Du Pivert.
Furthermore, when in season, the fruit comes directly from our garden! The cultivation of our small plot of land is 100% organic and, of course, locally sourced.
Upon request, we provide vegan and gluten-free breakfasts.

Mrs. Modestina Pucci, a retired elementary school teacher, is the true "manager" who passionately and lovingly runs our Bed and Breakfast!
As for myself, I am Elvio Rocchi, her son, and I am a musician and yoga teacher. I have lived in Colombia for 2 years and traveled throughout South America, where I found many great ideas to make our establishment more interesting, eco-friendly, and sustainable.

Area seaside
Marina di Carrara is the last seaside resort on the Tuscan coast, located right on the border with Liguria. It not only offers beach holidays, but also allows for quick access to the city center of Carrara, the Marble Quarries, the Natural Park of the Apuan Alps, and many other not-to-be-missed tourist destinations.
Close to Versilia (approximately 15 km from Forte dei Marmi and 25 km from Viareggio), it is also very close to the famous Cinque Terre, and even more so to the enchanting towns of the Gulf of Poets, Lerici and Portovenere.
The quarries, which have made the city of Carrara famous for its namesake marble, can be visited and are located in the mountains just above the city center.
The mountains themselves, the Apuan Alps, are beautiful to visit and offer unforgettable landscapes (on clear days, you can even see not only the Island of Elba, but even Corsica).

The owner has a very special talent: she knows how to welcome with great kindness, open-hearted. Her always attentive presence to details made the stay very pleasant. What struck me the most is the meticulousness in the cleaning (midweek), especially regarding the bed: not all managers wash the pillows! Super breakfasts. Nothing was missing in the apartment.

The apartment is very nice and has everything you need. We were lucky to have the one with direct access to the garden, an important space to relax and play with the children. The sea is reachable on foot in 7 minutes and very close by there are groceries, delis, pizzerias. The geographical location is important as it allows you to reach wonderful places in a very short time (marble quarries, Pontremoli, Lucca etc.). Mrs. Modestina is very kind and if you have the opportunity, it's very nice to chat with her.

Already from the first contacts for the reservation, I was very impressed by the courtesy of the owner, Mrs. Modestina. Arriving before the scheduled check-in time, we immediately took possession of the apartment which was already ready and very clean. It is a beautiful apartment complete with everything you need. Plenty of fruit and supplies for a mega breakfast at our complete disposal. The location is exceptional because it is central and the beach is a 5-minute walk away. Everything truly perfect.

Nice place, Ms. Modestina very welcoming and super precise. I saw 2 apartments: the first, slightly larger, rustic style; the second, with a small terrace overlooking the back garden, a bit more modern. Some improvements can definitely be made, but overall we had a good time. It's in a central but not chaotic area and 10 minutes walk from the sea.\n\nIn the room, a rich and organic breakfast, with fresh fruit where possible from the owners' garden. Blender, washing machine, coffee machine, and everything well distributed and organized. To be considered for future vacations!

My girlfriend and I had a great time, excellent location, quiet and very clean place. The breakfast with the presence of fresh fruit and most of all, having the kitchen available, we weren't tied to schedules like in other places. Overall good rating, the best in summer considering the location just steps from the sea. We will come back.

I have used Eco B&B I Due Oleandri several times. The location is central, very convenient for everything. The villa is pleasant and quiet. The owner, Modesta Pucci, is pleasant, very polite, and helpful. What more could you want?

The antiquity of the structure is fully compensated by the cleanliness of the furnishings and the friendliness and kindness of Mrs. Modestina. Excellent and varied breakfast, rich in fantastic "organic" products. Nice idea of bike rental, very convenient also for families as some bikes are equipped with child seats. Central location, a stone's throw from the beach! We already know where to go next time we pass through Marina di Carrara.
