The Giardino dei Sugheri (Garden of the cork oaks) is the result of a careful restructuring which gave new life to an old farmhouse in the heart of Tuscany.

Located on a pleasant hill inside the Bandite di Scarlino Natural Park, the farmhouse embodies the colours and perfumes of Tuscany: surrounded by a delightful garden of cork oaks you will pass from the blue of the sea to the green of the Mediterranean scrub.

Only 5 minutes distant from the most beautiful beaches of the littoral zone, the farmhouse is the ideal starting point of your excursions; travelling from the cost to the hinterland you can live the history following in the Etruscans footsteps, visiting the numerous medieval suburbs or having a relaxing walk between oasis and preserves

You will savour our breakfast on the veranda; it is realized with products typical of this area of Tuscany fresh and genuine that all come from the farms surrounding our farmhouse. Home-made biscuits and seasonal fruit are always available in the living room to “sweeten” a moment of relax in the porch looking at the sea. For the ones who don't want to totally take a break, we give the possibility of a free wi-fi connection.

If you think that one of the most beautiful aspects of a trip or a vacation is immersing yourself in something new, visiting previously unknown cities, meeting people with the pleasure of feeling at home, you have grasped the spirit with which we tried to create the Giardino dei Sugheri.

We want our guests to feel like hosts and for this reason, each of you will be immediately given the entrance keys, in order to make you the owners of your own spaces and rhythms.

If you are new adventurers in Maremma, we will try to advise you as best we can, for all those activities and non-activities that can make you rediscover the pleasure of leisure: both the "exhausted" one (by practicing sports, trekking, sailing, horse riding, golf) and the "beneficial" one (absolute rest without any type of activity).

We believe that reading is often a companion to many vacations; once you have left the rhythms of everyday life, it is easy to abandon yourself to the stories of a new writer.

To welcome you in your room, you will find a book, a suggestion to ideally accompany you during your stay.

It would be very nice if, upon your departure, you too would like to suggest and leave a book-memory of yours to those who will stay in the same room after you. It will be nice, after years, to come back and find the novel that accompanied that period and to discover who, together with you, contributed to "building" a small library for the use and enjoyment of its inhabitants.

Go as soon as possible. Helpful and friendly owner. The place functions with completely unobtrusive efficiency. Beautiful accommodation and grounds with swimming pool in a lovely area of Italy. Very restful and relaxing. Near the coast and various historical sites. Recommend climb to the very top of the old town of Scarlino. Lots of good restaurants. La Terrazza in Castiglione Della Pescaia excellent food and wine.

Unfortunately, a few days spent in the structure but I recommend it to those who want peace and tranquility. For those who would like a relaxing holiday! It is a short distance from the sea and charming villages to visit, absolutely! Breakfast always fresh, of quality, with a very friendly and helpful staff. The owners of the B&B were kind from the arrival, already giving some "tips" on places to visit. I would gladly return. The only flaw... before arriving at the B&B, unfortunately, being an unpaved road full of potholes, it makes the car quite dirty.

Property immersed in greenery, in a very quiet area and excellent for relaxation. Everything is very organized, few rooms furnished with style and a pool with garden. Michele, the owner, is a very kind, helpful, and polite person (not at all obvious). Congratulations.

Enchanting. There is not a single negative aspect in this B&B, magnificent location, beautiful structure, the room is extremely clean with a very comfortable bed, the garden and the pool immersed in silence and tranquility, the very good breakfast served in the garden overlooking the greenery and the sea (in the distance), the owners and the staff discreet and very kind. Magnificent.

I can only give an extremely positive feedback of this stay; the B&B, housed in a beautiful farmhouse immersed in greenery, is very well managed by Michele, who was able to give us excellent advice with great cordiality and extreme kindness on nearby beaches (all beautiful and within a 15/20 minute range), places, and restaurants. The room, spotless like the entire structure, is furnished with pleasant shabby/marinière taste; the beautiful garden offers reserved spaces to enjoy, in the silence of the countryside, the view of the bay of Follonica and the island of Elba. Castiglione della Pescaia is at most half an hour by car, Punta Ala even less. Last but not least, the breakfast, rich in homemade cakes and biscuits, is served on charming tables in a peaceful area of the garden. I hope to return.
