Description

Eridu is a place of art created by local artisans and artists who have transformed it into a unique and distinctive place.

Eridu is a country house, dating back to
1300, located next to a waterfall on the Arno river in the green countryside 8 Km from Florence.

The rooms include the following services: breakfast, tv, wi-fi, games, linen, parking.

Small children are not charged.

All rooms are ensite, parking, garden, and two common romms.

The Eridu B&B is situated in Ellera, which in the Florentine dialect means "ivy". It is a small village on the Via Aretina (the road to Arezzo) within the location of Fiesole. Ellera is roughly equidistant (7.5 km) from both Florence and Fiesole. In one part of the village - in the part where the Eridu B&B is located, overlooking the famous Arno river - we find a small waterfall which powered the Ellera flour mill, one of the very few that have been restored and are fully functioning.

We were satisfied with our two nights. Five minutes from Compiobbi station by car. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Marco gives good advice. Very quiet with a lovely tree-filled garden, but beware of mosquitoes. The bedding needs improvement.

Very nice accommodation next to the Arno river. Next train station to Florence is about 15min walking distance. The landlord is very helping with good sightseeing recommendations and always ready for a chat. In the house lives also a lovely dog and cat can be petted easily. The house is in typical style, I really liked it. Room size, bathroom nothing to complain at all. Unfortunately the WiFi is very weak, also only a weak 4G signal at this place. So, streaming with good resolution is difficult. Be informed, due to the river presence nearby, there are a lot of mosquitos waiting in the garden for casualties, Windows are protected safely by netgrids, so no issue inside. Overall, very good starting place for trip to Florence and surrounding area.

Nice structure in a strategic position to reach Florence by train (the station is 10 minutes walk). Parking always available, quiet and pleasant area. Abundant breakfast composed of fresh and quality products. Marco is a special and pleasant person, always available to give practical advice on the area and exchange interesting ideas.

We are a family with two daughters aged 10 and 12 and we stayed at the B&B Eridu for three nights. We had a great time as the structure is very beautiful and clean and the manager is very kind. We will definitely come back.

A beautiful discovery, just a stone's throw from the city yet so far from the chaos and noise, immersed in a peace that I would define as bucolic; ideal for unplugging even just for a day and taking care of oneself and loved ones. The environment is warm and convivial (as the name suggests). Marco is a very nice person, friendly, ready for a chat and generous with advice on where to eat nearby.

Sleeping next to a river, especially the Arno, is a unique experience! If in the morning you are then woken up by the smell of pancakes, the vacation is made! Add a friendly and helpful manager and a cat, the result is a perfect structure for curious travelers who necessarily need a car!
