Just 10 minutes from the art city of Pietrasanta, a real open-air museum, and 15 minutes from the Versilia coast, where you can experience the sea in places like Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi.
Immersed in the sumptuous Apuan Alps, which are elegant keepers of hidden treasures and places that have marked human history.
The thick stone walls, the wooden beams and the delicate signs of time will make you live the experience of a forgotten past.

Every morning, Elisa and I prepare a rich buffet with homemade cakes, long-rising focaccia, yogurt, fresh fruit and much more.
We try to discover the tastes of our land, also proposing typical Tuscan recipes.
We offer the opportunity to make a small package to take away, so if during the day you have a sudden appetite you will know how to fix it.

Hello! I am Marco.
In my short, but intense, life I have traveled a lot for pleasure and for work.
So I realized that among the most intense memories there was always the place where we were welcomed and the warmth of the welcome itself.
A journey, a holiday, an escape … these are emotionally important moments in which we put great expectations and often the small things make the difference between an unforgettable journey and a bad memory.
I have reached a point in my life where the word “work” has been transformed into the concept of “serving others”.
In the last two years I have been a cook, and during this time I have developed an empathy for the customer.
While I was cooking and preparing a dish, I felt a sort of connection with people at the table.
I perceived in people the joy and the emotion of going to eat at a restaurant in the company of a friend, a partner or family and what I cooked for them was a fundamental part of that moment.
I see the journey as a wider moment, which lasts for days and often becomes an important interlude of our life.
I decided, with my girlfriend Elisa, to take this responsibility, to put myself at the service of people who decide to live this experience with the maximum of commitment and humility.

Monteggiori is located at an altitude of 220m and can be reached from the street Sarzanese with a short 5 minute car ride.
Arrived in Piazza dei Cipressi there is a free parking next to the small cemetery, in case it was full just go down a few meters to the right of the cemetery and we find four other free parking.
To reach the B & B there is a small climb up the streets of the Borgo which is on the left of the cemetery.

The welcome is the strong point of this place. Marco is helpful, kind, and provided us with all the necessary information. The breakfast is truly delicious with artisanal products. 10 out of 10 for the hospitality.

What can I say about this place? The pictures speak for themselves. The magic of this place is unique. The care, kindness, and attention of the owners make you feel at home. We experienced moments of total relaxation and we are thankful that there was no television because that place should be experienced like this, between the warmth of the house and walks in the village.

The structure is located in the ancient village, very charming and with a breathtaking view. The manager is very helpful, kind and always present. The only flaw is reaching the structure from the parking through the steep alleys of the village, one must be fit.

Only the rocky climb leading to Dulcis in Borgo opens your eyes to the charm of what surrounds us. Here, it's as if time had stopped. Yet, an inhabited village, where you greet those you don't know and your gaze gets lost among the rosemary, the lemon groves, the stone houses, and the meticulously maintained terraces that stretch towards the sea. And then, you meet him, Marco, the very kind host who knows the effort you made to reach him and immediately comforts you with his attentiveness and promptness to fulfill your every request and with his special sweet and savory breakfasts, prepared with his hands and creativity. Definitely a place of meditation and peace that deserves to be experienced.

A pleasant surprise! We stayed myself, my 3-year-old daughter, and my wife in the top floor suite in March, with a spectacular view of Versilia. The stove in the room heated the entire space very well. Borgo Montiggiori is very nice, the only service available is a restaurant open on Friday and Saturday, Sunday. I would like to thank Marco, the manager of the b&b, truly a kind, helpful, and very friendly person. Excellent value for money for the service offered and for the unforgettable view. Oh, I would like to point out that to reach the property you have to walk up two hills because the village is reachable only on foot, but there is a convenient parking at the beginning of the village. Thank you very much, until next time.

Marco was extremely kind and discreet, always ready to meet our every need. What I liked most was the location in a village like those of the past, quiet with a breathtaking terrace available to customers and on which to have breakfast. And the style of the rooms in perfect harmony with the setting of the village.

The accommodation is really super nice and the village is located on a hill. You have to park in front of the village. But you reach the top after 4 minutes. Children should be carried instead, as the stroller is difficult to push. But it's totally worth it. The accommodation is really nice and unique. We had the room with a sliding door, so our 8-month-old daughter had her own space and there was enough room for everything. Marco, the owner, is very nice, super helpful, and also has great tips on things to do. Overall, a great starting point for day trips by car. (Pisa about 30 minutes away, Florence about 1.5 hours away, San Gimignano about 2 hours away). The accommodation is very clean and the view from the rooftop terrace is beautiful. On request, Marco also prepares little snacks for the evening on the rooftop terrace at sunset. The food was varied and delicious. We will definitely be back.

Very friendly host. We felt very comfortable from the beginning. We had dinner and breakfast on the rooftop terrace with a magnificent view. For dinner, there were small Tuscan delicacies and a good red wine. Breakfast included homemade sweet and savory pastries and cakes, Sterzing yogurt, and cappuccino. There was also a good restaurant around the corner.

Marco has been extremely kind from the beginning, allowing us to stay for just one night even though the period (July-August) required a minimum of two nights. He always responded quickly to messages and accommodated every request. A super hospitable person who loves that place and wants to make it known to others. The b&b is conveniently located in the center of Monteggiori; it is a pedestrian village, so you need to leave the car in the parking lots near the cemetery (there are 4 hidden at the end of a small street to the right of the cemetery, very convenient. Free). We slept in the Billy room, the 'simplest' but lacking nothing: very comfortable bed and all necessary comforts (including a bottle of good wine as a gift for guests). Breakfast is served on the top floor, on a terrace with a breathtaking view; even breakfast is amazing, with plenty of local products, some cooked by the owner himself. Absolutely recommended for those who love tranquility like us. Thanks again to Marco for his availability, kindness, and hospitality!

Dulcis in Borgo is a place where you think you'll be fine and then you discover you're even better off. Marco is an extremely kind person who makes you feel at home. The view from the terrace is spectacular, the breakfast is delicious, and the rooms are tastefully furnished. Dulcis in Borgo is not just a place to go but a place to return to.

Never been better! This is the thought after having been to Dulcis in Borgo, because the place is truly fabulous and the owner treats guests like kings. A combination that is hard to find equal. Kindness and availability are the protagonists in the well-kept rooms of the bed and breakfast, in a delightful setting like that of the village of Monteggiori. We are not used to going back to the same places but here you feel like coming back the next day already. Thank you for everything, Marco.

We had a wonderful weekend at this Bed and Breakfast located in Monteggiori, a beautiful small village a few kilometers from Camaiore. We were pampered and spoiled by Marco, a splendid host, who not only met our requests but also served us delicious breakfasts. In this regard, I recommend not to miss the opportunity to dine on the terrace, in front of a splendid sunset panorama, where you will be served excellent local products, even zero km. It was truly a pleasure to spend the weekend at Dulcis in Borgo and we will return to visit Marco and his beautiful Bed and Breakfast.

Posto tranquillissimo ed il massimo dell'ospitalità.
La struttura si trova tra le colline toscane a 10 min di macchina da Pietrasanta ed a 15 dal mare.
