Description
Collecottage is a charming cottage located just a short walk from the quaint villages of Colle Di Compito and Castelvecchio, nestled in the hills of Lucca. Its strategic location makes it an ideal starting point for exploring both the Tuscan hills and coastline, with various day trips available: just 14. 5 km from Lucca, 39 km from the beach at Viareggio, and about an hour’s drive to Florence or Volterra. Pisa, home to an international airport, can be reached in 35 minutes. There is a bus stop conveniently located near the cottage.

Situated within a private property, Collecottage ensures guest privacy thanks to the surrounding hedges and an olive grove.

The saltwater pool (7m x 12m), open from late April to September 30, is available for guests who can also enjoy outdoor dining areas, a barbecue, and sun loungers for relaxation.

Featuring terracotta floors and handcrafted doors and windows made by our uncle Angelino, the cottage has been renovated to include a fully equipped kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower, and a comfortable double bed. Don’t forget about the fireplace for those cooler evenings! Its distance from the main house ensures maximum privacy for cottage guests.

The local Saturday farmers' market offers seasonal ingredients perfect for cooking your meals. Restaurants, pizzerias, and bars are all just a few minutes' walk away.

Olive oil from the estate is available upon request!

Dominick was super helpful and friendly, and he gave us a list of suggested places to visit, which was perfect. The pool is amazing and with the air conditioning it was bliss in the heat. There is a great restaurant across the road and a good local pizzeria, but a favourite for coffees and dinner for us was the pretty town of Vicopisano. A lovely chilled and relaxing couple of weeks. Thank you.

Beautiful cottage in a private setting near the owner's house. The cottage is fully fenced, ideal for those with pets, and surrounded by vegetation that makes it very intimate. Dominick, the owner, is a very nice and helpful person for anything. The pool is really large, in the photos it looked even smaller! The property has a gate that allows you to access directly and park the car inside, the location is very quiet in the hills of Lucca and is 15 minutes from the city center. There are many restaurants, pizzerias, and bars around. We will definitely return for the location, the setting, and the very kind Dominick! Greetings from Luca, Cristina, and our little dog Olly, who ran around like crazy for two whole days!
