Casa Formica is a quiet Bed & Breakfast located in Cascina in the Pisa area.

Built in a farmhouse of 1800, it is located only 7 km from the historic center of Pisa and 21 km from Lucca. Located in a green countryside area, consists of 2 holiday houses/apartments far from the chaos of the city, in a peaceful place.

The perfect destination for those looking for relaxation and comfort.

The best solution to visit the main art cities of Tuscany, and at the same time reaching the nearby towns of Marina di Pisa and Tirrenia, and with a few more minutes the more famous Versilia.

Ideal for those who want to spend a pleasant time with the kids and visit the main attractions of Tuscany: sea 20 km, Piaggio (Vespa museum) 20 km, Versilia 35 km, Volterra 65 km, Florence 80 km, San Gimignano 85 km, Siena 115 km, Cinque Terre 120 km
For those looking for an alternative to the sea, it is possible to reach the beautiful outdoor pools within a few minutes by car.

The swimming pool of Cascina and the swimming pool of Calci are located just at 15 minutes drive from the B&B Casa Formica
Particular mention should be made of the garden (3000 square meters and an excellent wi-fi signal), carefully equipped with tables, chairs and umbrellas to allow our guests to have breakfast in the open air in summer, rest after a day of hard work or immerse themselves in reading under one of the large mulberry trees that dominate the vegetation. In the garden there are also a small games area for little children.

The Landhouse "Mary" (over 80 square meters) consists of:

Upstairs there is the bedroom (35 sqm) including double bed, single bed and bathroom with shower.

The apartment "Formichino"t is an outbuilding in rustic style of recent construction, of 40 square meters. It consists of a kitchen / dining room with double sofa bed, a double bedroom and bathroom with shower.

Casa Iacopo (Studio apartment) with independent entrance. It consists of a large kitchen and a living area with a double sofa bed. Walk-in closet and bathroom with shower. Outside, equipped garden area and private parking space. It can accommodate up to 2 people.

BREAKFAST SERVICE: (ITALIAN BREAKFAST: guests will find everything they need in their apartments. Daily delivery of fresh bread / croissants, yogurt and butter.

Well-equipped apartment, spacious, comfortable bedroom, but in hot weather you can't use the living room. The owner was very helpful, and the breakfast was okay. Close to Pisa and the sea. Watch out for mosquitoes.

We had the pleasure of enjoying Iacopo's hospitality for 2 and a half weeks! The host is incredibly friendly and accommodating! For questions about excursions, he was always able to provide good tips and suggestions. It only takes 20 minutes by car to reach the center of Pisa! The location of the accommodation is ideal! Breakfast is brought directly to the apartment by Iacopo every morning if desired! We stayed in the Formichino apartment! The apartment is in top condition, everything is very clean, and the kitchen is equipped with everything needed for self-catering! The bathroom is pleasantly spacious and fitted with high-quality fixtures! Everything is also very clean there! The seating area in front of the house is beautifully landscaped! One part is covered, the other part has a large umbrella! From there, you can see a large park with trees! I highly recommend this accommodation! We would come back anytime!

The reservation appears to have been made without the breakfast service, so I don't understand how you can assign a (negative) vote Mr. Pawel booked an apartment where it is clearly written that there is a double sofa bed, so I also dispute the observation made about the bed available. First you need to read the information correctly and then proceed with the booking or ask for further clarification.

It was a wonderful stay, immersed in nature and tranquility, in a beautiful structure in the outskirts of Pisa and the center reachable in 15 minutes by car. Casa Formica has all the comforts, new and tasteful bath and bed linen. The house is also very well furnished and lacks nothing. Excellent and much appreciated the welcome of the owner Jacopo, whom I greet and thank for the beautiful days spent in his splendid structure.

Like being at Casa Formica and maybe even better. It's the first time we find ourselves with no notes to make: everything perfect! Beyond expectations. Super helpful, kind, and caring manager. We stayed in the finely furnished annex complete with everything. The huge well-kept garden and the silence around were an additional treat.

Beautiful brand new structure, super clean and fully equipped with every comfort imaginable in a bed & breakfast. Spacious and comfortable rooms, complete bathroom with large shower, very comfortable beds, peace and tranquility of the Tuscan countryside with the center of Pisa just 15 minutes away by car. Very large furnished garden with games for children and private areas for guests, abundant and varied breakfast, very kind manager providing advice and information on the best tourist itineraries in the area and various attractions or places. Everything you could wish for is here. Highly recommended. We stayed in a separate villa from the main building and had exclusive access to a two-room apartment with a large double bedroom, walk-in wardrobe, large bathroom and living room with full kitchen and French double sofa bed, all brand new and spotless, with everything needed for hot drinks and basic cooking ingredients available, while in the bathroom there were even makeup remover wipes, plasters, sanitary pads, and cotton wool. Outside we had a large furnished patio reserved just for us where we could have breakfast in good weather. I gave a 9 only for the location because for some people centrality is important and the structure is located in a quiet village on the outskirts of Pisa and not in the city, but for me this is a plus because you can enjoy great silence and peace, have a personal indoor parking space available and avoid spending hours looking for parking in the very chaotic, crowded center of Pisa with a great shortage of paid parking lots. It is ideal for moving towards the tourist locations in the area.

For those looking for an apartment as a base for excursions in the area, I would say that Casa Formica is a perfect location. Additionally, the beautiful garden and the tranquility of the place allow you to rest between one tour and another. Perfect cleanliness, new environment. Abundant breakfast and, above all, with the possibility of personalizing it because the manager is very helpful and asks you day by day. Pisa is close by, the Certosa is 15 minutes away, Lucca is 35 minutes away. The sea is nearby. If I were to return to the area, I would have no doubts in choosing it again.

Quiet location just over 7 km from Pisa. Fantastic family to look after your every need. Iacopo and his parents took care of us so well that we didn't want to leave. The 'Casa Formica' exceeded my expectations, the breakfast was sumptuous and the surroundings were just what we needed after the hustle and bustle of both Pisa and Florence. Good train service to all of Tuscany.

The room, more than a room I would say an apartment, had towel changes and daily cleaning of the rooms. Many books and magazines were available for guests! The farmhouse has been renovated in what I would say is a perfect way, the place is delightful, immersed in greenery, and at night there is magnificent silence. We could not enjoy the well-kept garden due to the bad weather that did not give us a break, except for the day of departure. Highly recommended.

The staff is very courteous and helpful. The breakfast is very tasty and abundant. I am fully satisfied, I highly recommend it.
