Description

Casa del Giramondo (The Globetrotter House) has two double bedrooms, the Red Room and the Blue Room, both with private bathroom, heating, air conditioning, TV, wi-fi internet, electric kettle, towels, soaps, hairdryer and minibar. Breakfast is included in the price.

The garden is available just in the morning, during breakfast (8, 30-10, 30) and in the evening of you book out home restaurant dinner (20-21, 30).

The B&B is located in the south-west of Florence, on via di Scandicci, below the Marignolle hills, 13 minutes far from the historic center by tramway, 10 minutes far on foot from the New Hospital of San Giovanni di Dio and the Rehabiliation Center Don Gnocchi and just 2 km far from the Visarno Arena and Cascine Park, inside Florence, where every year during summer it takes place the “Firenze Rocks” Festival.

The area is well served by public transports (Tramway stop is Arcipressi or Bus n. 6 stops is Scandicci 3-4), and offers lots of restaurants and supermarkets.

We are sorry but the structure is not suitable for hosting pets.

Also in the house lives an old cat, who is the queen of the house!

Breakfast

The breakfast is included in the price, it is served from 8. 30 to 10. 30, in the kitchen or garden and can range from sweet to savory, according to the tastes of our guests: artisan or homemade cakes, empty or stuffed croissants, toasted bread to be buttered or rusks with jam or nutella, biscuits or bread, hard-boiled eggs, cold cuts and cheeses. To drink we offer various fruit juices, cappuccino, coffee and tea. Upon request, we can also offer diet breakfasts (lactose-free, veg, gluten-free). Requests for products of specific brands not included in the choices of the house will have additional costs.

For those who leave early in the morning, before breakfast time, a small breakfast is guaranteed, in the room with croissants or packaged sweets, biscuits, cereal bars, tea, coffee in capsules, milk, yogurt / fruit puree, water.

Hi, I'm Rossella! For 10 years I have been managing Casa del Giramondo, my small B&B in Florence. I undertook this adventure in hospitality to grow and have the opportunity to meet a thousand people from all over the world, with their culture and traditions, and it always enriches me every time I welcome new guests. I always try to give my best in my work, with professionalism and kindness, and to convey a bit of my Florentine spirit and my passion for art, nature and beauty in the world. I enjoy dabbling in pastry, which I offer for breakfast to my guests. I like to be helpful so that your experience in Florence is unforgettable!
Note: I live with a 18 year old cat, so I can't host people with allergies or people who have problems living around cats.

Wonderful holiday discovering Tuscan cuisine at Rossella's home restaurant. That evening we had a delicious peposo. Rossella is very kind, a perfect hostess. The room is large, comfortable and clean. You can leave your car parked and use public transport. You can reach the center in a short time with perfect convenience. We will return.

Excellent structure, outstanding cleanliness, breakfasts are a real treat. Mrs. Rossella went out of her way to make us feel truly at home, with good homemade cakes. Even for me, who is picky, she prepared a savory breakfast as well. The place is very clean and very convenient to the center. Definitely recommend and especially to return.

Oh my goodness! We absolutely love and adore this sweet Bed & Breakfast! Rosella was such a lovely host who came to feel like family in our far too short four days there. Our breakfast was absolutely amazing! So many homemade goodies and goodness created with love! Any questions we had were answered and she helped guide us to taxis and activities. We cannot wait to visit her again and stay at this charming home away from home!

At Rossella, it feels like home. Welcoming to guests, excellent and varied breakfast, accommodation in a quiet area and without architectural barriers. Comfortable and clean room, also suitable for disabled guests. Easily reachable by the tram that takes you to the center in 13 minutes. We will return for a third time.

This is the second year I book my stay in Florence at this B&B, which I really like both for the room and for the host's hospitality, which deserves a 10. The room, equipped with a bathroom, is large, airy, welcoming, and very clean. The house is free of architectural barriers and the room is equipped with a shower and toilet for the disabled. The host is welcoming and helpful to the guests. The location is very convenient because in 13 minutes by tram you can reach Florence city center. The trams pass on average every 5 minutes. The breakfast is excellent. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Rossella is a great host. She was very easy to reach and took great care of our well-being. We could have breakfast in a small garden and it was really nice. The accommodation is very clean and has everything necessary. The bed was also very comfortable, so my partner, who suffers from back pain, had no problems and was able to rest. The rooms are big enough. With bus line 6, the old town can be reached in 25 minutes. Overall, a very pleasant stay. We even had breakfast prepared by Rossella for our departure :) Thanks again :)

The space was quiet and quaint. It had everything we needed. Rosella was welcoming, friendly and kind. She offered advice on where to visit and places to eat. She checked in and made sure we knew how to get to the Casa. I wish we could have spent evenings in the garden in the photos. That was only available in the morning with breakfast. Otherwise it was great. Thank you.

Thanks to our host Rossella, our stay in Florence was unforgettable. The location is easily accessible by train from the central station and bus terminal. The room was very clean and spacious, with an electronic kettle and refrigerator in the room. The most unforgettable thing was the breakfast. On days when we had to leave early because we were going to a museum, she put breakfast in the in-room refrigerator the night before. On mornings when we could spend more time relaxing, she prepared a wonderful breakfast for us. She told us about Italian breakfast and culture, and we had a great time. If I ever come back to Florence, I would stay there again.

We were warmly welcomed by our host with all the professionalism that made us feel like guests. The room (pink) has an incredible charm. Tastefully decorated, upon our arrival we were greeted with delicate attentions. Rossella is a very caring woman and tried to meet our needs (advice on things to do in the city, made the effort to speak to us in French, and we were able to exchange ideas on interesting topics during the very hearty and homemade breakfasts). Access to public transport was very convenient. We can only encourage you to share the time of a stay, this immersion in a place where you will feel at home and welcomed in a sincere way.

Rossella was a attentive hostess to our needs. The location of the property is a bit off-center but in a very quiet area and well connected to the center through the tramway available a few meters from the house. We arrived by car and were able to easily find free parking to leave it and move around with the public transport. The room is clean and welcoming, with everything you need. Also, breakfast ranges from sweet to savory, according to personal tastes. A good landing place to visit Florence without staying in the chaos of the center.

My sister and I stayed here for four nights during our trip to Florence and we had an absolutely LOVELY stay. Rossella is so kind and welcoming and her breakfasts are fantastic! The room was very cozy and Rossella was a great hostess making sure everything was well during our stay. We had an early morning one of the days we stayed with her and she left us a breakfast to take with us. We really enjoyed getting to chat with her and cannot recommend staying with her enough!

We stayed for 4 days as a couple and we loved it. The room is clean and well maintained, the place is quiet and the tram station is only a 5-minute walk away. Our host was very caring with us and gave us some extra tips on places to visit. The breakfasts were quite generous and once again we were delighted. We highly recommend it.

The whole establishment is very clean and neat. It is conveniently located a short tram ride away from the S.M. Novella train station and Centro Storico. I was also able to find my way back by bus fairly easily each evening from wherever I ended up during my daily explorations of Florence. Rossella clearly enjoys hosting her guests and we had interesting conversations each morning over the lovely breakfasts that she had prepared. And to top it all off, she even helped me improve my less-than-perfect Italian language skills and provided some excellent suggestions on worthwhile ways to spend my time in Florence. I would definitely stay there again during future trips.

Rosella was a tremendous host, I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a comfortable stay away from the crowds while in Florence. The room was impeccably tidy, and had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. Rosella was super helpful with giving us recommendations for things to see and places to eat in the area. She even prepared a lovely breakfast for us each morning. She also has an adorable cat.

I was somewhat skeptical reading so many positive reviews... and after our experience, I must say that this place is everything that was mentioned and more! The distance to the center is not a problem at all, on the contrary, the tram passes very frequently and arrives in 12 minutes, the cleanliness is excellent! Absolutely remarkable, I consider myself very demanding on this point and this place has far exceeded my standards; the comfort of the bed and the tranquility of the place make rest (very necessary after so much walking) extremely comfortable, and as if all this were not enough... there's Rosella, she has a way of offering herself and making you feel at home, with her chats and her breakfasts with homemade food... please, what exquisite breakfasts! With my husband and our 2 daughters we were guests of Casa del Giramondo B&B for a short weekend getaway. The first feeling was that of feeling at home, starting from the welcome and finally with the delightful availability of the landlady, always attentive to every detail. The b&b's location is optimal for quickly reaching the city center by tram, the neighborhood is very nice and quiet, with easy parking. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast is fantastic and varied. Experience to be repeated and recommended.

Rossella was a wonderful host! She was very helpful, her breakfasts were amazing and so were all the conversations we had. The room was great and we were well catered for. The location is great as it was a quick tram ride (or a nice walk) into the center. Would 100% stay again. She was definitely a big plus to our stay in Florence and we'll remember it well.

Onestamente rimango molto stupita e profondamente delusa di queste sue valutazioni, oltre la recensione scritta con tale sufficienza e del suo comportamento scorretto, visto che durante il soggiorno lei e la sua famiglia siete stati lauti di complimenti per la comodità della camera dedicata ai disabili, motivo per cui ha scelto la mia struttura e che non si degna neanche di menzionare, per la vicinanza al centro tramite la funzionale tramvia a 5 minuti dalla struttura e per l'abbondante colazione dolce e salata (cheesecake, clafoutis di ricotta, strudel di pere e cioccolato, tiramisù alla crema, affettati, wurstel arrostisti, formaggi, crostini e bruschette, nonchè croissant, biscotti, succhi di frutta vari e cappuccino), che vi ho preparato personalmente ogni mattina e che avete puntualmente divorato. Oltretutto mi ha pure lasciato un pensiero di soddisfazione sul guestbook della casa, che recita testualmente "4 giorni passati bene come a casa. Belle camere pulite e silenziose. Grazie di tutto." Mi rincresce ma non posso dire altrettante grazie a lei. Le auguro di trovarsi meglio in una diversa struttura qualora tornasse a Firenze. Cordiali Saluti

Lovely, elegantly decorated gem. Our host, Rossella, was nothing short of wonderful and very helpful. She gave us lots of tips about where to go in Florence, places to visit, where to grab some food etc.

I stayed for 2 days to be close to my husband, who was operated at the Torregalli Hospital in Florence, and I had a very good experience. The location is perfect, very close, I could even walk there or use the Don Gnocchi parking lot, convenient and even closer. Breakfast is included, but I cannot judge it because I had different schedules.

I stayed at Casa del Giramondo B&B for two nights with my partner, small but cozy room, very clean. For breakfast, Rossella welcomed us in the common kitchen area with a good coffee and a wide selection of pastries and juices. Pleasant and family-friendly atmosphere, we will definitely come back.

Rosella is so nice and welcoming that we were sad when we left. She speaks perfect English and helped us with everything we needed. And the price is the best in the city! The only con is that you need to take a tram or bus to the city center, but it costs 1.5€ and runs pretty frequently.

It was a very pleasant stay. Clean and tidy room, it has everything you need. Abundant breakfast. Friendly and very helpful staff. Good location, just outside the center, close to the bus and tram stop that allow you to reach the center in about 15 minutes.

Nice and clean place, Rossella is friendly and caring, it is located in the outskirts of Florence but the tram line takes you to the city center in 10 minutes.
