Description
Casa del Giramondo (The Globetrotter House) has two double bedrooms, the Red Room and the Blue Room, both with private bathroom, heating, air conditioning, TV, wi-fi internet, electric kettle, towels, soaps, hairdryer and minibar. Breakfast is included in the price.
The B&B is located in the south-west of Florence, on via di Scandicci, below the Marignolle hills, 13 minutes far from the historic center by tramway, 10 minutes far on foot from the New Hospital of San Giovanni di Dio and the Rehabiliation Center Don Gnocchi and just 2 km far from the Visarno Arena and Cascine Park, inside Florence, where every year during summer it takes place the “Firenze Rocks” Festival.
The area is well served by public transports (Tramway stop is Arcipressi or Bus n. 6 stops is Scandicci 3-4), and offers lots of restaurants and supermarkets.
We are sorry but the structure is not suitable for hosting pets.
Also in the house lives an old cat, who is the queen of the house!

The breakfast is included in the price, it is served from 8. 30 to 10. 30, in the kitchen or garden and can range from sweet to savory, according to the tastes of our guests: artisan or homemade cakes, empty or stuffed croissants, toasted bread to be buttered or rusks with jam or nutella, biscuits or bread, hard-boiled eggs, cold cuts and cheeses. To drink we offer various fruit juices, cappuccino, coffee and tea. Upon request, we can also offer diet breakfasts (lactose-free, veg, gluten-free). Requests for products of specific brands not included in the choices of the house will have additional costs.
For those who leave early in the morning, before breakfast time, a small breakfast is guaranteed, in the room with croissants or packaged sweets, biscuits, cereal bars, tea, coffee in capsules, milk, yogurt / fruit puree, water.

Hi, I'm Rossella! For 10 years I have been managing Casa del Giramondo, my small B&B in Florence. I undertook this adventure in hospitality to grow and have the opportunity to meet a thousand people from all over the world, with their culture and traditions, and it always enriches me every time I welcome new guests. I always try to give my best in my work, with professionalism and kindness, and to convey a bit of my Florentine spirit and my passion for art, nature and beauty in the world. The whole establishment is very clean, and neat. It is conveniently located a short tram ride away from the S.M. Novella train station and Centro Storico. I was also able to find my way back by bus fairly easily each evening from wherever I ended up during my daily explorations of Firenze. Rossella clearly enjoys hosting her guests and we had interesting conversations each morning over the lovely breakfasts that she had prepared. And to top it all off, she even helped me improve my less-than-perfect Italian language skills and provided some excellent suggestions on worthwhile ways to spend my time in Firenze. I would definitely stay there again during future trips.

Rosella was a tremendous host, I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a comfortable stay away from the crowds while in Florence. The room was impeccably tidy, and had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. Rosella was super helpful with giving us recommendations for things to see and places to eat in the area. She even prepared a lovely breakfast for us each morning. She also has an adorable cat:).

Rossella was a wonderful host! She was very helpful, her breakfasts were amazing and so were all the conversations we had. The room was great and we were well catered for. The location is great as it was a quick tram ride (or a nice walk) into the center. Would 100% stay again. She was definitely a big plus to our stay in florence and we'll remember it well.

Nous avons séjourné 4 jours en couple et nous avons adoré. La chambre est propre et bien entretenue, l'endroit est calme et la station de tram n'est qu'à 5 minutes à pied. Notre hôte était au petit soin avec nous et nous avons eu droit à quelques conseils sur les endroits à visiter en plus. Les petit déjeuners étaient relativement copieux et là encore nous étions comblés.
Nous le recommandons sans hésitation.

Yo estaba algo eseptica al leer tantos comentarios positivos... y despues de nuestra experiencia, devo decir que este lugar es todo lo mencionado y mas! La lejania al centro no es para nada un problema, todo lo contrario, el tranvia pasa muy frecuentemente y llega en 12 min, la limpieza es de exelencia! absolutamente destacable, me considero muy exigente en este punto y este lugar supero ampliamente mis standares; la comodidad de la cama y la tranquilidad del lugar hacen que el descanso (muy necesario despues de tanto pasear) sea sumamente reconfortable, y como si todo esto fuera poco...esta Rosella, ella tiene una manera de brindarse y de hacerte sentir en casa, con sus charlas y sus desayunos con comidita casera...por favor que desayunos más exquisitos! Sin duda nuestro paso por firenze no habría sido tan especial sin su presencia. Agradecidos y bendecidos de haberte encontrado! Te recomendamos y esperamos poder volver pronto! Gracias por tanto.

Con mio marito e le nostre 2 bambine siamo stati ospiti di questa struttura per un breve weekend di vacanza. La prima sensazione è stata quella di sentirsi a casa, a partire dall'accoglienza e infine con la deliziosa disponibilità della padrona di casa, sempre attenta ad ogni dettaglio.
La posizione del b&b è ottimale per raggiungere velocemente il centro con la tranvia, il quartiere è molto carino e tranquillo, con facile possibilità di parcheggio. Gli ambienti sono comodi e puliti, la colazione è fantastica e molto varia. Esperienza da ripetere e da consigliare.

Onestamente rimango molto stupita e profondamente delusa di queste sue valutazioni, oltre la recensione scritta con tale sufficienza e del suo comportamento scorretto, visto che durante il soggiorno lei e la sua famiglia siete stati lauti di complimenti per la comodità della camera dedicata ai disabili, motivo per cui ha scelto la mia struttura e che non si degna neanche di menzionare, per la vicinanza al centro tramite la funzionale tramvia a 5 minuti dalla struttura e per l'abbondante colazione dolce e salata (cheesecake, clafoutis di ricotta, strudel di pere e cioccolato, tiramisù alla crema, affettati, wurstel arrostisti, formaggi, crostini e bruschette, nonchè croissant, biscotti, succhi di frutta vari e cappuccino), che vi ho preparato personalmente ogni mattina e che avete puntualmente divorato. Oltretutto mi ha pure lasciato un pensiero di soddisfazione sul guestbook della casa, che recita testualmente "4 giorni passati bene come a casa. Belle camere pulite e silenziose. Grazie di tutto." Mi rincresce ma non posso dire altrettante grazie a lei. Le auguro di trovarsi meglio in una diversa struttura qualora tornasse a Firenze. Cordiali Saluti

Ho alloggiato 2 giorni per seguire da vicino mio marito, operato all'ospedale Torregalli di Firenze e mi sono trovata molto bene. La location è perfetta, vicinissimo, andavo anche a piedi oppure usufruivo del parcheggio del Don Gnocchi, comodo e ancora più vicino. È prevista la colazione, che però non posso giudicare perché avevo orari diversi.

Ho soggiornato in questo b&b due notti con il mio compagno, stanza piccola ma accogliente, molto pulita. A colazione Rossella ci ha accolti nello spazio comune della cucina con un buon caffè e una scelta vasta di dolci e succhi. Ambiente piacevole e familiare, torneremo sicuramente.

Rosella is the so nice and welcoming that we were sad we left. She has perfect English and helped us with everything we needed. And the price is the best in the city! The only con is that you need to take a tram or bus to the city center, but it's 1. 5€ and pretty frequently.

Stanza pulita e ordinata, dispone di tutto il necessario. Colazione abbondante.

Posto bello e pulito, Rossella cordiale e premurosa, è periferia di Firenze ma la linea tranviaria ti porta in centro in 10 minuti.

Difficile rispondere ad una valutazione senza una recensione motivata. Posso dire che la signora ha ammesso di aver fatto un errore nella valutazione della pulizia e di essersene accorta successivamente, dopo che le ho chiesto spiegazioni di un tale voto basso. Del resto le altre recensioni raccontano tutt'altra storia su come tratto i miei clienti e curo la mia struttura.

Soggiorno confortevole in una posizione non centrale ma ben servita dai mezzi, ottima per chi deve accedere al centro sportivo Filarete per gare/prove atletiche.
