Welcome to Casa Chilenne B&B - your retreat in the heart of the charming historic center of Cortona! Since 2008, Jeanette, Luciano, and their four-legged friends have joyfully opened their doors to guests from all over the world. One of their most rewarding moments is watching their guests explore Cortona and fall in love with it, just like they did.

Their greatest satisfaction is welcoming back returning guests year after year with their friends and families, creating joyful moments and happy memories together.

There are five guest rooms available, each with a private bathroom. They are equipped with a telephone, air conditioning, heating, SKY TV, Wi-Fi, and LAN cable connection with fiber optic service for internet browsing, refrigerator, safe, and hairdryer.

We prepare a fresh buffet breakfast every morning with pastry and cakes typical of the Italian tradition together with assorted yogurts, local coldcuts and cheeses, cereals, biscuits, bread, jam and butter and on request we offer American breakfast classics like eggs, waffles and pancakes served with real maple syrup from Canada. We offer Both Italian and American style coffee which is delivered to us by MokaPiù a coffee roasting company in Arezzo, capppuccino, caffe latte, chocolate and a wide assortment of teas and infusions form the Twinings collection as well as an assortment of fruit juices. There is a fruit basket available to guestsat breakfast with fresh fruits of the season. We use only milk products and butter from tuscany and free range eggs. With advanced notice we can prepare alternative items for nearly all special diets.

We are Jeanette Wong and Luciano Polezzi (pictured here with Carlotta and Daisy). Jeanete comes from San Francisco, California, but has lived in Cortona since 1986. Luciano is a Cortonese since birth and from uncountable generations before him. Casa Chienne was opened in 2008 from our desire to conserve this house which has a great sentimental valia to Luciano as it was a gift to him from a close family friend, Alifer "Chilenne" Mancini. Our vision for the B&B was to create a place where guests would feel at home with the comforts of a hotel and the warmth of family hospitality.

We returned after staying here 15 years ago, so we are fans of this lovely place. Jeanette is so helpful, welcoming, and a great cook. Her homemade pastries and made-to-order omelet were just what we needed. The room on the top floor with the lounge area attached was nice. The mini-split air conditioner kept us cool. Casa Chilenne is one of the most charming places in Cortona, right in the center of everything. The host, Jeanette Wong, could not have been more gracious and helpful to all her guests! To add to her hosting duties, she makes the most incredible breakfast pastries ever! Jeanette is a wealth of information and has interesting guests that stay at Casa Chilenne. The rooms are very nice, clean and a lovely terrace up top. I would highly recommend staying at Casa Chilenne, you will not regret it!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful weekend at Casa Chilenne. Both the room and the bathroom were very large and comfortable, Jeanette was very nice and kind, she cooked us a breakfast with cakes, tarts, and croissants all made by her, including brownies, cream puffs, and gluten-free almond cake! Highly recommended!

A most wonderful 7 days spent at Casa Chilenne. Janette is a wonderful host. Besides the amazing breakfast of homemade everything, she was very accommodating in any extra requests, like bacon and eggs. She was very helpful in our day travels to nearby areas making helpful suggestions. Also restaurant recommendations for lunch, dinner, coffee, etc. It is in a perfect location in the center of Cortona. We loved staying there.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Casa Chilenne. I came down with Covid on my second day and am forever grateful to both Jeanette and Luciano for taking care of me during my five-day quarantine. Jeanette arranged for a doctor visit and procured necessary medication. Jeanette is a fabulous cook. I enjoyed not only her delicious breakfasts (the pastries are divine!), but lunch and dinner during my quarantine. That I had the top floor to myself, more or less, was a blessing. In those five days, I took full advantage of the sunny terrace, plowed through four novels (from a healthy library), sipped tea, people watched, and closed the day with beautiful sunsets. I came to Casa Chilenne on the recommendation of a friend and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend this B and B, centrally located, but oh so peaceful.

Jeanette was the best hostess ever. She helped us with our questions and called around to find any and everything we were interested. She took a personal interest in ensuring all our needs were met. She went above and beyond, sure. And her homemade pastries! The best we have ever had anywhere let alone Italy. We will not only stay there again, but will recommend all our friends stay at Casa Chilenne when they visit the charming Cortona.

Lovely and cozy B&B, we had the best room that was very comfortable, bright, and airy. Ample wardrobe space, bathroom amenities, A/C comfort, even a small minibar with the added benefit of a washing machine, plus we had almost exclusive use of the normally shared kitchenette/living area and large patio during our 4-night stay.

Jeanette is a wonderful cook and baker, her breakfasts are what me and my family look forward to! She is very accommodating and kind. We stay here every time we come to Cortona. Love her and her family! It's near many shops and wonderful restaurants, plus museums and beautiful sightseeing opportunities. There's also a park close by that is great for the kids. We absolutely love it at Casa Chilenne B&B.

Bring my expectations. Our hostess is from the US but moved to Cortona over 30 years ago, so no communication issues. Her baking was unbelievable. I will be dreaming of it for years. The place is rich in history and has a clothes washer. My only warning is that steps are steep to get to the rooms. There is a chair lift to sit on for those to get up the stairs or for luggage. Location perfect and loved that it was so close to public parking.

The Casa Chilenne B&B is located right in the center, but there are several parking lots nearby that were kindly pointed out to us before our arrival. It's a beautiful building, the rooms are spacious, super clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all comforts. I loved the breakfast served with homemade pastries (our favorites), but just ask and everything will be provided. A very pleasant and positive experience!

Jeanette is a warm and gracious host. We loved our 4-day stay at Casa Chilenne B&B. Perfect location, only a few steps from taxi or bus drop off, shopping, restaurants, etc. Our room was clean and spacious, with traditional Tuscan decor. Jeanette's baking prowess will be immediately apparent at your first breakfast.

The B&B is located in the pedestrian area but close to the jitney bus stop that runs from the train station every hour. Breakfast was made to our specifications with fresh bagels. We spent 8 marvelous days at Casa Chilenne B&B. Jeanette and Luciano immediately made us feel comfortable and welcome. They attended to every detail and are attentive, gracious and knowledgeable, providing immeasurable advice about what to see and do in Cortona and its surroundings. Jeanette sets a delightful breakfast table. Her morning pastries are scrumptious: fresh bomboloni (filled doughnuts), croissants with luscious fillings, scones, galettes, cakes, and more. She also offers foods for heartier meals: waffles, eggs, bacon, toast, fruit, yogurt, etc. All the beverages are superb, but we were partial to their excellent caffe (espresso) and Americano coffees. The town minibus stops at Piazza Garibaldi about 90 meters (295 feet) from Casa Chilenne which is on the main road Via Nazionale. The building originally built in the 1600s, or earlier, is fully renovated with every modern convenience. We loved the high ceilings, comfortable furnishings, tastefully embossed walls and ceilings. Many Cortona streets prohibit motorized vehicles during the daytime which made walking about truly enjoyable. Thank you, Jeanette and Luciano, for an unforgettable stay. Your love of Tuscany is irresistible. We highly recommend Casa Chilenne to anyone considering a trip to Cortona. We definitely plan to return. July 2022 Geri K and Mike D.

We stayed only one night in 2 rooms (le gazze and le tortore) on the first floor of Casa Chilenne B&B. We were enthusiastic about many things: first of all, the kindness of Jeanette and her husband, two exquisite people, then the completely homemade breakfast of very high quality and with a wide choice, last but not least, the spacious rooms, with air conditioning, huge and spotlessly clean bathroom with everything you need. If we come back to Cortona, we will book here again. By the way, the B&B is located at the beginning of the historic center so easily reachable with luggage and the free parking is accessible via the escalators... so perfect!

Rooms arranged on multiple floors but easily accessible with elevator even for the elderly. We asked the manager for directions to sports facilities in the area and places to visit, they were precise and very helpful. In my opinion, excellent value for money.

Our stay at Casa Chilenne was outstanding. The location is not far from the square. You are in for a treat if you book a stay, Jeanette's pastries are homemade and honestly some of the best we've had while in Italy. I am partial to her almond croissants! The rooms are reasonably priced with personal service.

Spent 2 nights in Cortona at Casa Chilenne which was so conveniently located near a train station and in the City Square. The area is so lovely and our stay at the bed and breakfast was completely enjoyable. We loved our gracious hosts who took very good care of us, fed us hearty breakfasts that supplied us with energy to explore the beauty of Cortona and offered many suggestions for shopping and dining in the town where everybody knew their name! Best of all, Jeanette the hostess and I played Ukulele together after dinner one night, which was a hoot! The room we stayed in was comfortable and roomy and offered all the amenities one would find in a hotel. Love love loved the time spent in Cortona.

I rarely write reviews. When I do it is because there has been something really special that is worth sharing. At Casa Chilenne our hosts made us feel welcome and at home. This isn’t a cookie-cutter experience like staying at a chain hotel. It felt like staying at an old friend's home. In short, wonderful and a place I will come back to. Jeanette's breakfast is exceptional. A local friend called it the best breakfast in Cortona. I would agree, Jeanette clearly takes pride in her cooking, baking, and making sure your stay is memorable.

We had a very pleasant stay at this B&B in the center of Cortona, easily accessible with the escalators from the free parking where we left our car. The apartment is very elegant and quiet, the breakfast is really excellent both in choice and quality (both sweet and savory).
