Description
Casa Cernano, in the heart of Tuscany was built in the 16th century. Surrounded by olive groves with a splendid view of the medieval town of Siena, only 15 minutes away, the historic house exudes a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Casa Cernano is situated between the Chianti, famous for it's good wines, and the Crete Senese, a hilly landscape of unusual beauty.
The nearest village is Castelnuovo Berardenga (10 Min. on foot).
The owner discovered the house in 1988 and restored the buildings and it's surroundings. All the original Tuscan features have been carefully preserved and at the same time all modern amenities included for a comfortable stay.
Within a 35-45 miles radius there are the towns of Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, Montepulciano and Arezzo. The beautiful Tuscan coast is approx. an hour away.
All rooms are in Tuscan style with original wooden ceilings and traditional Terra-cotta floors. Each is individually furnished, with an eclectic mix of antiques and modern comfort.

One of my best experiences so far! The property and the rooms are lovely, but most importantly, the host was wonderful! Catherine is available, helpful, and we can feel she loves sharing and caring for her customers. We had really nice conversations and suggestions from her, that we followed and did not regret at all! Of course, she knows the area, but the fact that she takes the time to share with us, taking our preferences into account, felt heartwarming and made our holidays better than expected. Even in a really hot summer, we surprisingly could keep the room fresh enough at night. The mosquito nets on the windows are definitely a plus! The beautiful property with its great garden and its refurbished barn (sports equipment, table tennis, chill lounge area) that stays fresh even during the day, allowed us to have restful and enjoyable days at the property outside of tourism visits. I did recommend this place to my surrounding and will definitely come back! You can go there your eyes closed!

We stayed at Casa Cernano for a weekend to attend a nearby wedding. Catherine was very helpful and uncomplicated, yet flexible with all the guests. The beautiful Tuscan house has been gently renovated to maintain its charm while meeting all the requirements for a perfect stay in the countryside. We arrived by car, ample parking space for every guest - but also accessible by public transport. Highly recommended! Thank you Catherine!

Very nice tropical country type of building. Very close to the village center and also very close to the main superstrada Siena/Perugia and the possibility to go almost everywhere in Tuscany and the Chianti region. The owner, Mrs. Catherine, is just an excellent guest and a very nice person. My room didn't have air conditioning, but it was provided with a fan and quite fresh anyway.

Catherine was an excellent host. She waited for us when we checked in late at night due to our rubbish experience with the car rental. She still explained to us patiently on the house details as well as useful tips on to properly make use of our time in Florence. House was such a beautiful countryside property. Free parking.

La camera era bella e ben pulita. La posizione della struttura è buona con una bella veduta della campagna e di Siena. Unico neo la vicinanza con la strada che dal paese va verso Siena e che nelle ore di punta è un po’ rumorosa.
L’accoglienza è stata carina e la proprietaria si è dimostrata disponibile a fornire tutte le indicazioni che necessitavano.
La struttura offre anche la possibilità di fare colazione ed un frigorifero comune con acqua e birra (con pagamento aggiuntivo).

We had such an amazing time in Casa Cernano.
The place is beautiful and very very charming. The room was big and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, with lovely croissants, fresh bread etc. The scenery surrounding Casa Cernano was stunning and it is very conveniently located for day trips to Chianti, Siena and also southern Tuscany. We loved the small and soulful village of Castelnuovo Berardenga. Overall it was a great experience and we only wished we could have stayed longer.
A huge huge thank you to our hostess Catherine for all the tips but mainly for making us feel so welcome during our stay.
Definitely wanting to come back soon.

B&B de belle tenue, de confort et de charme. L'accueil est excellent, Catherine propose chaque jour des sujets de visite ou des évènements culturels régionaux. Le gite est très bien situé pour une visite approfondie de la région de Sienne, des crêtes ou du Chianti.

Nonostante siamo stati solo una notte abbiamo potuto lo stesso apprezzare molte caratteristiche positive dell'intera struttura. Tutto ristrutturato e ben curato immerso nel tipico paesaggio toscano dove la notte si poteva ascoltare l'unico rumore presente: il silenzio. Consiglio vivamente a chi vuole passare qualche giorno in totale relax.

Abbiamo soggiornato presso Casa Cernano per un weekend e ci siamo trovati molto bene. La gentilezza e la disponibilità del gestore nel darci indicazioni sulla zona e consigli utili su cosa visitare e dove mangiare ad esempio, ha fatto davvero la differenza. Camera pulita, una buona e ricca colazione e piacevoli chiacchiere con i proprietari, pronti a dare consigli, ma mai invadenti. Consigliamo fortemente questa struttura, dove speriamo di tornare a nostra volta.
