Description

Casa Cernano, in the heart of Tuscany was built in the 16th century. Surrounded by olive groves with a splendid view of the medieval town of Siena, only 15 minutes away, the historic house exudes a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Casa Cernano is situated between the Chianti, famous for it's good wines, and the Crete Senese, a hilly landscape of unusual beauty.

The nearest village is Castelnuovo Berardenga (10 Min. on foot).

The owner discovered the house in 1988 and restored the buildings and it's surroundings. All the original Tuscan features have been carefully preserved and at the same time all modern amenities included for a comfortable stay.

Within a 35-45 miles radius there are the towns of Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, Montepulciano and Arezzo. The beautiful Tuscan coast is approx. an hour away.

All rooms are in Tuscan style with original wooden ceilings and traditional Terra-cotta floors. Each is individually furnished, with an eclectic mix of antiques and modern comfort.

- Landscaped Garden with Pond

- Wi-Fi Internet
- Dogs are welcome (15 euro for the intire stay, 1 animal is allowed)

1. Cappuccino/coffee or tea, orange juice, and a fresh sweet croissant (also available in vegan option), for 5 euros per person per night.

2. Cappuccino/coffee or tea, orange juice, and a savory croissant with cooked ham/fontina cheese, for 7 euros per person.

A two-day experience at Catherine and her family's establishment, which left us with a great memory of the end of our vacation. She is a very friendly manager, the establishment is beautiful in the midst of greenery, the room is comfortable and has a lovely “country” style. It is also worth having breakfast at the establishment, it will put you in a good mood.

One of my best experiences so far! The property and the rooms are lovely, but most importantly, the host was wonderful! Catherine is available, helpful, and we can feel she loves sharing and caring for her customers. We had really nice conversations and suggestions from her, that we followed and did not regret at all! Of course, she knows the area, but the fact that she takes the time to share with us, taking our preferences into account, felt heartwarming and made our holidays better than expected. Even in a really hot summer, we surprisingly could keep the room fresh enough at night. The mosquito nets on the windows are definitely a plus! The beautiful property with its great garden and its refurbished barn (sports equipment, table tennis, chill lounge area) that stays fresh even during the day, allowed us to have restful and enjoyable days at the property outside of tourism visits. I did recommend this place to my surrounding and will definitely come back! You can go there your eyes closed!

We stayed at Casa Cernano for a weekend to attend a nearby wedding. Catherine was very helpful and uncomplicated, yet flexible with all the guests. The beautiful Tuscan house has been gently renovated to maintain its charm while meeting all the requirements for a perfect stay in the countryside. We arrived by car, ample parking space for every guest - but also accessible by public transport. Highly recommended! Thank you Catherine!

Very nice tropical country type of building. Very close to the village center and also very close to the main superstrada Siena/Perugia and the possibility to go almost everywhere in Tuscany and the Chianti region. The owner, Mrs. Catherine, is just an excellent guest and a very nice person. My room didn't have air conditioning, but it was provided with a fan and quite fresh anyway.

Catherine was an excellent host. She waited for us when we checked in late at night due to our bad experience with the car rental. She patiently explained the house details as well as useful tips on how to properly make use of our time in Florence. Casa Cernano is such a beautiful countryside property. Free parking.

The room was beautiful and very clean. The location of the property is good with a nice view of the countryside and Siena. The only downside is the proximity to the road that leads from the village to Siena, which can be a bit noisy during peak hours.\n\nThe welcome was nice and the owner was willing to provide all the necessary information.\n\nThe property also offers the possibility of having breakfast and a common fridge with water and beer (with an additional charge).

We had such an amazing time in Casa Cernano. The place is beautiful and very charming. The room was big and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, with lovely croissants, fresh bread, etc. The scenery surrounding Casa Cernano was stunning, and it is very conveniently located for day trips to Chianti, Siena, and also southern Tuscany. We loved the small and soulful village of Castelnuovo Berardenga. Overall, it was a great experience, and we only wished we could have stayed longer. A huge thank you to our hostess Catherine for all the tips but mainly for making us feel so welcome during our stay. Definitely wanting to come back soon.

Even though we only stayed for one night, we were able to appreciate many positive features of the entire property. Everything has been renovated and well maintained, immersed in the typical Tuscan landscape, where at night the only sound you could hear was the silence. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a few days in total relaxation.

We stayed at Casa Cernano for a weekend and we felt very well. The kindness and availability of the manager in giving us directions about the area and useful advice on what to visit and where to eat, for example, really made a difference. Clean room, a good and rich breakfast, and pleasant conversations with the owners, ready to give advice but never intrusive. We strongly recommend this structure, where we hope to return ourselves.
