Podere Ponte a Nappo, in the past dedicated to yielding oil and wine, has been renovated and transformed in Bed & Breakfast.
Ponte a Nappo is in the delightful countryside of San Gimignano at only 900mt from the medieval walls and it's easily reachable from the centre in only 10 minutes walking.
Ponte a Nappo, is in a particular position to spend a quiet holiday in San Gimignano, enjoying at the same time the view of the towers and of the countryside.
The wide garden offers different comforts: the solarium place with umbrellas, deckchairs, and sun beds; the picnic place with tables and plays for children; the swimming pool with view on San Gimignano and on the Chianti hills; the barbecue place with tables and chairs to have lunch outside; the aromatic herbs garden where to taste our cooking smells.
For who loves sport we made a simple fitness route immersed in the green, where it's possible to run and to do exercises in the equipped areas. Four mountain bikes are at guest’s disposal to do short tours in the countryside of San Gimignano.

At the end of 1979, when San Gimignano wasn’t again destination of tourists from all the world, I began to rent the apartment “Santa Fina”, “the first”, of whom I am very fond because it accompanied me during the years and for its wonderful view from the big terrace.
Little by little I began to rent other apartments and bedrooms scattered along the historical centre of the city. In 2000 I opened with my son Francesco “Palazzo Tortoli”, a palace of the fourteen century in the wonderful Cisterna Square, a luxury palace of big architectonic importance, marked in all the most important international guides.
At the end, in 2002 we opened “Podere Ponte a Nappo”, a beautiful farmhouse with swimming pool recently restored and completely plunged in the green. From here we can enjoy the wonderful view of the Tuscan countryside and of the city of San Gimignano, which is in front of the farmhouse at only 900 m and easily reachable by feet in 10 minutes.
I give hospitality every year with my sons Francesco and Andrea to tourists from all the world, with whom we entertain in long conversations, seated in the garden in front of the towers of San Gimignano, tasting a good glass of wine. The most important thing which give us satisfaction are the guess, who every year come back and recommend our apartments to friends and relatives.

We felt at home. Mrs. Carla is the pillar of the structure. The sons Andrea and Francesco are professional, friendly, and cordial. The buffet breakfast is abundant and of quality, served by a prepared and helpful staff. Dinner is practically served by the pool with a view of San Gimignano, with tasty typical dishes, especially the tagliatelle with game meat sauce, a great and appreciated surprise. I highly recommend staying at this splendid farmhouse.

We stayed at B&B Ponte a Nappo. The view of the Tuscan hills and Piazza della Cisterna is priceless. Very quiet place. Excellent food. The only flaw is the parking. You have to park in paid areas. It's a pity not being able to use some agreement for payment or reserved parking. Manager and staff are helpful and very friendly. Absolutely recommended!

Very nice property in a location with a fabulous view towards San Gimignano and the hills. Equipped with a pool and parking. Not far from San Gimignano (about one km). Family-run and great availability from the owners towards the customers.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans ce lieu les propriétaires sont supers agréables et au petits soins pour nous, beaucoup de convivialité nous reviendrons sans problème la propriété est bien entretenue et la vue sur SAN GIMIGNANO depuis la piscine est à couper le souffle.

Il posto è molto bello.
Il prezzo è ai livelli alti della media per la zona. Uno dei più alti (120 euro per una camera doppia.
A fronte di questo prezzo si notano alcune piccole cose. Frigorifero desolatamente vuoto (neanche una bottiglia d'acqua che fa tanto piacere all'arrivo).
All'ingresso nella struttura hanno richiesto il pagamento della camera, nonostante avessi prenotato con carta di credito. Hanno preteso il pagamento extra della tassa di soggiorno, 1,5 euro a persona, quasi sempre considerata nel pagamento da parte di altre strutture. In camera un cartello avvertiva che, per l'attivazione dell'area condizionata, occorreva munirsi di un telecomando al costo extra di euro 5.
In mancanza il condizionatore funzionava solo come ventilatore. Con grande sorpresa, alla colazione del mattino, si richiedeva un euro aggiuntivo per ogni espresso e/o cappuccino, non inclusi nella normale colazione. Le camere sono piccole ma arredate decentemente. La piscina è discreta. Al centro di un prato verde, purtroppo infestato da fastidiose mosche cavalline, cui sono anche allergico.
Dal punto di vista della gentilezza potrebbero fare molto di più.
Sembrano molto business oriented e poco interessati a intrattenere rapporti amichevoli con i clienti. Certamente eviterò di tornarci in futuro.
