Description

The B&B "piccolo paradiso" (small paradise) is a good place to discover and explore the whole of Tuscany. The B&B is located on one of the most beautiful hills of Livorno, called Castellaccio. It's a green area and it's situated only a fews step from the city of Livorno, and also from the sea. From here you can reach the most popular city of Pisa (only 20 km), or Florence (about 1 our with the car or the train). Il piccolo paradiso it is a house with 6 rooms for our costumers. It's surrounded by breathtaking nature and a panoramic view that guarantees a comfortable and relaxing stay. The rooms are simple and cozy each one with private bathroom, tv and high speed wireless internet access. Our garden is a perfect place to relax, whit sunbad and gazebo, where you can enjoi of a panromaic wiew on the sea. Breakfast is included in the price. Every morning you can have a perfect start with our tipical italiana breakfast, whit croissant, jam anche coffee or capuccino. Next to the B&B there is also our ristorant called "trattoria orestina" where you can taste the typical tuscan cuisine, you can reserve your table and drink good wine or an italian aperitive e enjoy the beautifull panorama

Our breakfast is offered in a dedicated room where you can help yourself independently! There will be no staff present, but you’ll find a cozy space set up for you with your room number. The room features an automated machine for coffee, cappuccinos, milk, hot chocolate, and tea, as well as two refrigerators: one for guests who wish to use it and the other stocked with fresh yogurt, fresh milk, savory sandwiches, and homemade desserts from our trattoria. On the buffet table, you will find a selection of cookies, jams, chocolate spread, and both whole grain and regular toast. Serve yourself and start your day off right!
During the months of June, July, and August, breakfast is served buffet-style at our trattoria on the upper floor on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings.

Restaurant

The trattoria "da Orestina" is a historic restaurant located on the top of the highest hill in the city. It offers Tuscan cuisine, with special attention to local dishes, both meat and fish, from game to cacciucco, all the favorites of the people of Livorno. Everything is accompanied by regional and non-regional wines. Our cuisine is simple and homemade: everything is made by us, from the jam to the peppers that accompany the cheese appetizer, to the ricotta and potato gnocchi with white hare ragout, or the desserts, from the tart to the characteristic Tuscan cantuccini. The meal concludes with our characteristic "diabolical" liqueur offered to all our customers. The gentle breeze that characterizes this area will brighten up your summer evenings, giving you a little rest from the summer heat.

Wonderful place, managed with care and heart, full of attention to the well-being of the guests. Well ventilated in the height of scorching August, with tables, sunbeds and mattresses outdoors for guests with a sea view. We had stayed at this property years ago; what can I say... everything was perfect! The room was clean. We slept without suffering from the heat. Breakfast was self-service, and everything we needed was available: pastries, croissants, fruit, rusks, a vending machine for hot drinks, fruit juices and a fridge available for guests. And above all, hospitality and kindness, the most important thing!.

We stopped for a tactical stop for just one night to embark the next day. The location is very beautiful, with a sea view and a very nice garden equipped with hammocks and sun loungers for relaxation. The restaurant linked to the structure is very good with a 10% discount for those staying at the B&B. The managers are very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the breakfast, which is not very varied (though the homemade cakes are very good) and the coffee machine. Overall, for a stop, it is okay, although I would keep a more contained price.

Beautiful property with a view. I would have given the highest rating if it weren't for the cleanliness of the room and especially the bathroom, which left something to be desired. I arrived in the evening and needed a place to sleep and leave the next morning. Small but nice room. Cold shower.

The room had been cleaned roughly before my arrival. Dust and fluff were clearly visible next to the bed and the bedside table and this left me rather disappointed, as well as disgusted. The B&B Piccolo Paradiso is located in a pleasant, quiet area that is easy to reach. It enjoys a beautiful panoramic view of the sea and has a garden that is definitely a plus during the spring and summer months. Unfortunately, there were several unpleasant things regarding hygiene and cleanliness of the place. The breakfast, included in the rate, and the management of the kitchen were very disappointing. The electric stove and the microwave were in really embarrassing conditions. The dirt was caked everywhere, both on the internal doors and on the work surfaces, as well as in the fridge. I wanted to fill a croissant with jam, I opened the jar I found in the fridge and found a tangle of mold inside, disgusting. Despite the low price of the property, it is unthinkable for me to ask for money without taking care of the dirt that accumulates over time. I have photographic documentation of all the things described above.

Hello, my comment is that this year it is the second time I go to this establishment. The first time was magnificent, good reception and friendly managers. I returned based on this, but the disappointment was total. In four days of stay, I did not have the honor of meeting the managers, no one entered the room nor did I have an exchange of towels or sheets. I am really disappointed, I could not even pay for my stay due to a total absence. When leaving, I insisted on finding someone and in the end, I left a note with my contact details and how to resolve my stay. Here is my comment: I came to Italy to be near my 96-year-old mother, I left Italy this morning with a little bitterness. I have nothing more to add. Best regards, C. Boccaletti.

Enchanting place surrounded by greenery with a view of the sea. The owner is very kind and attentive to the customers' needs. A trattoria with typical dishes and kind staff, especially always with a smile. If you want to disconnect from the frenzy and stress of big cities, this is the right place to turn off your brain and especially your phone. Only the view is worth a night.

The name of the B&B Piccolo Paradiso reflects the reality of the place, a little paradise. Quiet and with a splendid sea view, surrounded by lots of greenery. It is run by Mrs. Federica, very friendly and helpful. You can dine at the adjacent trattoria managed by the same lady, where we enjoyed delicious food. Recommended for those who love relaxation.
