Description

The newly renovated B&B l'Olivo is 15 minutes walk from Central Station and 20 minutes by walk from the main attractions of the city. It is in a strategic position both to visit the historic center and to go to the Fortezza da Basso, where many international fairs are held such as Pitti Immagine, craft exhibition and many others (2 min walk), at the Congress Center (5 min a walk), to the Careggi Hospital Complex (13 min tram line 1).

Despite being so close to the historic center, we are outside the limited traffic area (ZTL), and it is possible to reach us by car. Thanks to an agreement with the Municipality, we offer our guests the opportunity to park on the street at a discounted rate of 10 euros for 24 hours, free on holidays.

All rooms overlook our private garden ensuring a peaceful stay away from the confusion.

The B&B offers a rich homemade breakfast served in our common room or in our garden.

Hello everyone! My name is Bruno and I am 38 years old. I opened a B&B 9 years ago for three main reasons: the pleasure of meeting new people from all over the world, the passion for travel and the desire for intense work but with human rhythms. I have always traveled, since I was a boy, and even now that I have a wife and two small children I try to do it as much as possible. It is not my only job but I still try to devote time and attention to it to the best of my ability.

After 9 years on thi website I thought it was time to rewrite my presentation. Many things have changed but not all. The important ones do not. I still believe in B&Bs not only as a place of rest during a trip but also as a place of meeting and friendship.

From this point of view I must say that the existence of this website is a lifeline. A site that asks little and that leaves autonomy of contact between manager and guest. A portal that is not a greedy multinational but a small company of workers. A place to be protected.

I hope to host you in my B&B and to be able to help you during your stay.

The B&B l'Olivo is 15 minutes walk from the historic center. A nice scenic walk along the Arno River will lead you to the Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery and Piazza Duomo.
Easily accessible also for those coming by car with cheap and convenient parking in front of the B & B. All the rooms are brand new and have a private bathroom and all comforts.
The location of the B & B is also ideal as a starting point for excursions in the beautiful Chianti or for a night out from the crowded city center and enjoy a dinner in the hills.

The apartment is located about a 15-minute walk from the center and 20 minutes from the main train station. Public transport stops are in the immediate vicinity. The apartment/B&B has three rooms, a shared kitchen, and a garden, ideal for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The room is simple but very nicely furnished; it feels comfortable. The apartment is very clean. The ingredients for the simple breakfast are prepared in the refrigerator (each room has its own compartment) and consist of rusks, cornflakes, butter, jam, yogurt, and fruit. The assistance provided by Bruno and Marco is excellent, everything went wonderfully well. Conclusion: Absolutely recommended!

Lovely B&B in a quiet area of Florence. The room was clean and cozy. The breakfast was plentiful: fruits, yogurt, cereal, cookies, and pastries. Even though we didn't get the chance to meet the host, Marco, in person, he provided helpful guidance whenever necessary. My wife and I really enjoyed our short trip to Florence, and B&B L'Olivo was certainly one of the reasons why.

Our accommodation was excellent. Firstly, the cleanliness was very good, making our stay comfortable. The comfort level of the place was also very good. Secondly, the location was excellent, as it was just 300 meters from a tram station, which connects to Florence and the main points. Thirdly, the breakfast provided was very good. When we left, our host Bruno was very helpful. As our flight was very early, he organized a taxi for us. If you're looking for a well-structured and organized room that feels like home, this is the place for you. I highly recommend it and will definitely come back.

Very nice accommodation for a reasonable price. Nice location, close to the center and the tram. By Italian standards, a very good breakfast including fruit, good selection, clever self-service arrangement. Nice little front yard. Perfect communication with a helpful host. Highly recommended!

A great place and highly recommended, very good and plentiful breakfast. It is very well located near the center and the station. We only had one issue one night when there were some neighbors in the building having a party, but the owners are not to blame, it's something unpredictable. A highly recommended place. Very nice, spacious and clean. Had a noise issue with new arrivals and surrounding units but not a huge issue. Bruno the manager was awesome and very accommodating, helping with maps, suggestions, coffee and even arranging a cab for me to return to the train station. Will still again if I return.

L'Olivo is located a short distance from the station (it can be reached by tram or on foot in just a few minutes) and a 15-minute walk from the center. The structure is 15 minutes from the center of Florence in a very quiet area, particularly on a very quiet street. The location of the rooms, then, at the back make them very quiet. My room was spacious and with a recently renovated bathroom with a fantastic shower. Breakfast is abundant and varied, and the room dedicated to this is also welcoming and spacious. Bruno and Marco are two special people, very hospitable and willing to help the guest in every possible way: as soon as I arrived they immediately offered me a coffee that they were preparing. The small attentions that make you feel at home... I can only recommend it also for the excellent price/quality ratio. I was there for work but I promised myself to go back for leisure.

Marco and Bruno are some of the kindest hosts I have ever had the experience of knowing. They were more than accommodating and helpful (helping me out very quickly after I accidentally locked myself out!). The property itself is gorgeous and situated so close to the city center that I could walk everywhere but the airport. The breakfast was impeccable and consisted of a healthy variety of fruit, coffee, baked goods, and yogurt, which was great because it was never too heavy or too light. The property was spotless when I arrived and never seemed dirty, which blew me away. My one and only criticism would be that the mattress I slept on was a bit stiff but for the price of the stay and everything else, I wouldn't even consider it a negative. I hope I can stay with them again next time I visit Florence and highly recommend them to any travelers!

We had a great stay at L'Olivo. It is situated outside of the crowded historical center but you can still reach it in 15 minutes by walking. The place is super clean and the hosts gave us a good tip on where to eat close by. The breakfast was fair, and you can eat inside or outside. You can also access the kitchen during the afternoon. The room is big and the bed is comfortable. Overall, great place.

I stayed with my family at this accommodation on the day of Ferragosto. The welcome was impeccable, obviously agreed upon a few days before. The period allowed us to park for free in front of L'Olivo, however, there are several parking spaces in the area. Co-manager Bruno was very courteous and helpful in showing us how to reach the city center in no more than a quarter of an hour on foot, the train station is also very close. For those who cannot or do not want to walk, there is the brand new tram just a 3-minute walk away. The bed and breakfast is newly renovated and the furniture is also new. There are no particular noises and for those who want to enjoy the open air, there is a garden to sit in. The rooms are equipped with a TV, air conditioning, and bathroom. We were able to enjoy excellent breakfasts prepared on the spot by Bruno. It was truly a confirmation of the excellent impression we had at the time of booking. I recommend it for spending a few days in Florence in a comfortable and quiet environment.

Struttura in adequazione con le aspettative; pulizia, abbondanza di colazione (preparata secondo i desideri dei clienti. Caffè eccellente, miele divino) e accoglienza del responsabile, che si è messo a disposizione per agevolare il nostro soggiorno a Firenze. Raccomando senz'altro L'Olivo. Bruno ist absolut hilfreich und freundlich ein toller Host! Das Frühstück ist "wie bei Mama", mit leckerem Kuchen und Pfannkuchen. Die Lage ist schön ruhig am Arno - man ist in 20 Minuten zu Fuß im Stadtzentrum. Für uns im Rahmen eines Roadtrip perfekt, da Parkplätze an der Straße. Einziger kleiner Wehmutstropfen: das Wasser wurde nicht ganz warm.

We had a very nice stay with Bruno and Marco. The room was very clean with nice tall windows opening on to a small balcony. The only thing I would think about was the noise from the neighbours during the afternoon.

Consiglio questa struttura per la vicinanza al centro ed ai mezzi pubblici le loro camere sono molto graziose arredate con semplicità ma con stile caldo e accogliente il letto era comodo la stanza silenziosa. Pienamente soddisfatti! Il B&B rispondeva perfettamente a quanto descritto nel sito. Inoltre Bruno, il titolare, ci ha chiarito ogni dettaglio prima del soggiorno ed è sempre stato disponibile per ogni esigenza, dai bis e tris e "quatris" di crepes per le interminabili colazioni delle nostre figlie alla custodia dei nostri bagagli anche oltre l'orario di restituzione delle chiavi. Location a 2 passi da tutto Firenze i mezzi pubblici anche bellissimo posto che si affaccia sull'Arno con lo sfondo Ponte Vecchio. C'est la première fois que j'emmenais ma mère en voyage et nous avons passé 4 jours dans l'époustoufflante Florence mais aussi 4 nuits dans le trés chaleureux "Olivo", situé à 20 minutes du centre ce B&B est parfaitement situé, la propreté y est impeccable, l'hôte Bruno enthousiaste et trés accueillant, les chambres charmantes sans fioriture ! Vous pourrez discuter de tout avec lui, trés ouvert et intéressant, que c'est agréable de découvrir des personnes comme ça. Bref il faut y aller et y retourner!

Soggiorno stupendo! Rilassante e rigenerante. La colazione abbondante e i gestori sempre disponibili e gentili. La posizione del B&B ottima per raggiungere il centro della città, ben collegata con i mezzi. Stanze pulite, comode e luminose. A pochissimi metri si può godere della meravigliosa vista del lungarno, mozzafiato! È stato un piacere soggiornare in questo B&B ormai se ne trovano davvero pochi con queste caratteristiche. Buongiorno signorana, ognuno ha le sue opinioni soprattutto sul rapporto qualità prezzo ed io le rispetto senza discutere. Grazie anzi per i complimenti sulla pulizia e la cordialità. Lei però ha dichiarato che noi ci troviamo in una pessima posizione, all' ESTREMA PERIFERIA e questa è una cosa falsa. Noi siamo al limitare della ztl, attaccati al centro storico e Lei ci ha scelto perché venendo in macchina era obbligato a parcheggiare da noi. L'alternativa era sostare presso un parcheggio privato del centro al costo di 30 o 50 euro per una notte o per l'intera giornata. Si informi sui prezzi. Tutte queste informazioni io gliele ho date telefonicamente, ci sono scritte sul nostro sito e si possono trovare sul web. Stessa cosa per i mezzi pubblici, la fermata del 23 è a 400 metri e quella del D anche. Controlli su internet. Legga le altre recensioni. Le camere sono davvero belle completamente ristrutturate e anche se affacciano sulla strada sono isolate benissimo dai doppi vetri. La colazione è ricca e abbondante, preparata dal gestore con torte e muffin fatti in casa, davvero ottimi. Il B&B si trova in un punto strategico della bellissima città di Firenze. Il centro storico è facilmente raggiungibile a piedi in meno di mezzora e si possono visitare in tranquillità tutte le meravigliose strutture le opere d'arte che offre la città. I proprietari sono gentilissimi e molto disponibili e il rapporto qualità/prezzo è più che soddisfacente. Ottima colazione e camera molto carina. Siamo stati a Firenze 3 gg soggiornando in questo splendido B&B sul lungarno. La cortesia, professionalità e simpatia di Marco, il gestore, sono uniche.. E mitiche le sue colazioni a base di muffin, cheescakes, torte alla banana e crepes alla nutella! Struttura a 15' dal centro storico della città, con comodo parcheggio di fronte. Vivamente consigliato per rapporto qualità (alta) e prezzo (basso) ma soprattutto per chi lo gestisce. Ho pernottato per 3 notti in questa struttura e sia io che il mio ragazzo ci siamo trovati benissimo. Facile da raggiungere, camera con tutto il necessario, ogni cosa pulita e ordinata. La colazione è molto varia e abbondante con molta possibilità di scelta. Il gestore è una persona bravissima, si vede che ama il suo lavoro ed è disponibile a chiarire qualsiasi dubbio o problema. Siamo arrivati al B&B con largo anticipo ed è stato molto disponibile ad accoglierci e tenere i nostri bagagli per lasciarci liberi di girare per il centro. Luogo consigliatissimo!

L'Olivo was the first stop on our holiday. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Bruno who definitely makes the stay worthwhile. Consiglio questo B&B sia per la sua posizione (pochi minuti a piedi e si arriva in centro oppure a piazzale Michelangelo), che per il gusto con cui è stato arredato l'appartamento, ma anche per Bruno (il gestore) che ha dispensato consigli su posti da visitare di giorno e di notte, oltre che su posti dove mangiare bene spendendo poco (vedi: Beppa Fioraia). Non ci sei mai stato ma, dopo 5 minuti ti senti più che a casa. Il gestore Guido è una persona disponibile, educata e si sta semplicemente bene in un clima intimo e famigliare. Colazione più che abbondante e soddisfacente. Posto più che strategico vicino con 15 minuti a piedi a tutto quello che un visitatore vuole e può vedere dal corso al teatro. Fantastico!

Consigliatissimo a chiunque voglia soggiornare a Firenze. Appena fuori dal centro, ma con una linea di minibus vicina, l'Olivo è una piccola oasi: carino, pulitissimo, essenziale. Abbiamo soggiornato 4 notti in questo stupendo B&B, ottima la posizione a 15 minuti dal centro a piedi. Le camere erano pulitissime, silenziose e ben arredate (consiglio quella che si affaccia sul giardino!). All'arrivo siamo stati accolti dal gestore Bruno che è stato molto disponibile e gentile a fornire qualsiasi informazione relativa a come raggiungere i posti da visitare a Firenze e a darci qualche dritta su dove mangiare. La colazione era fantastica e molto abbondante, Bruno ci ha persino chiesto quale tipo servirci (se con cibi dolci o salati). Sicuramente consiglierò questo B&B ad amici e parenti!

Bonjour, moi et ma compagne, nous avons passé 3 nuit dans cet établissement géré par main de maître par le chaleureux hôte Bruno, voici deux semaines. Situé à deux pas du centre, en 10 minutes à pied tu te retrouve à coté du Ponte Vecchio, le tout en longeant le fleuve Arno (Super ballade à faire à tout heure de la journée) et si tu monte les mitiques "Rampe" t'es en 10 minutes sur le Piazzale Michelangelo (idéale au coucher du soleil pour un moment en amoureux) La chambre était d'une propreté impeccable, ainsi que les sanitaires et les autres pièce du B&B. Au réveil le premier matin on à été agréablement surpris de l'accueil et du somptueux petit déjeuner préparé avec amour (deviné par qui?).. par Bruno! Tout sorte de café, thé, lait russe, tisane, et ensuite pains, confitures fait maison, charcuteries, fromages et des magnifiques gâteaux fait par Bruno le matin à l'aube. En se prenant d'amitié avec lui (chose très facile, vu son sourire, son enthousiasme, et son approche détendu) on découvre qùil à travaillé pendant plusieurs années dans le restaurant (a mon avis) le plus typique et connu de Florence: le Cibréo. en alternant Chef de Cuisine et Maître d'Hôtel..Pas étonnant, donc, que le service, les mets, et l'accueil soient au rendez-vous. Et niveau langue, il se débrouille pas mal non plus (je l'ai entendu parler au moins dans 5 langues différentes). Pour terminer je dois dire que ça à été une belle découverte, où dans une ville assez bruyante, on à pu passer des nuits paisibles, des réveil lumineux et accueillant et profiter de l'amour que Bruno porte à sa ville, pour découvrir Florence et les alentours hors de circuits touristiques classiques. Ragazzi, Bruno e Simona sono fantastici. Simpatici, competenti e sempre disponibili. Le camere sono carine, arredamento molto caldo, soffitti alti, sempre silenzio totale, tanto che spesso mi son chiesto se ci fossero altri ospiti a parte me (e ho scoperto che c'erano solo il giorno dopo a colazione). C'è il wi-fi, anche se dovendolo condividere con tutti, a volte è un po' lento. A livello di posizione all'interno Firenze, sono nella parte centro-sud. Con un autobus in 10 minuti siete in piazza San Marco, in 15 alla stazione. La colazione è buona e completa, cornetti freschi, biscotti, frutta, caffè, latte e succhi di frutta. Il prezzo è soddisfacente considerando la qualità, ma non è propriamente basso. Per una breve sosta va bene, se però avessi bisogno di stare più giorni, cercherei un'altra soluzione.

La prima e più importante caratteristica che rende molto piacevole il soggiorno all'Olivo è la presenza di Bruno, il proprietario. Simpatico, cortese, presente senza essere invadente, prodigo di consigli molto utili per il soggiorno, dai ristoranti ai posti meno noti da visitare, disponibile e discreto. Parlando della struttura in se bisogna dire che è appena fuori dal centro, ma in una posizione molto comoda sul lungarno. La nostra camera era arredata spartanamente ma molto funzionale. Ottima colazione, Bruno è in grado di soddisfare tutti i gusti e in abbondanza. Decisamente un B&B che consiglio per una visita a Firenze.

Ambiente veramente confortevole, pulizia accuratissima, ottima accoglienza da parte del proprietario Bruno (simpaticissimo e disponibile). Il tutto a pochi km dal centro storico di Firenze. Colazione abbondante e buona (Bruno ha cucinato anche le crepes). Prezzo adeguato. Che cosa si può volere di più? Bruno continua così. Adesso ho un punto fermo a Firenze. Ottima la scelta del ristorante consigliato.

L'ambiente è confortevole, Bruno (il proprietario) e Simona sono persone accoglienti, disponibili e professionali. Vi è una rara attenzione per i dettagli, sia nell'arredamento e nella struttura che nella preparazione della colazione e, importante, nella pulizia degli ambienti. Nulla è lasciato al caso. La posizione è molto buona, a due passi dal centro di Firenze. La cucina del BB si affaccia sul verde di giardini privati. Silenzioso, un bed and breakfast che senz'altro consiglio.

Il B&B l'Olivo è una sistemazione economica e confortevole a pochi passi dal centro di Firenze. La zona in cui è sito è tranquilla, il centro è raggiungibile in meno di 5 minuti con gli autobus (che fermano a pochi passi dal B&B e in circa 20 min a piedi. Le camere sono ampie, pulite e piacevolmente arredate. WI-FI gratuito e veloce. La colazione è ricca e varia, grazie alla pazienza e l'impegno di Bruno, il simpaticissimo gestore del B&B, prodigo di utili consigli e sempre disponibile. Abbiamo passato 4 giorni piacevolissimi in ambiente amichevole e familiare, in una delle città più belle d'Italia, il tutto ad un prezzo più che onesto. Torneremo sicuramente.

Ottimo B&B, posizionato benissimo fuori dalla calca del centro storico ma praticamente a 10 minuti a piedi dal ponte vecchio. Prezzo buono rispetto al resto di Firenze (pieno di spenna turisti). Ma la rivelazione di questo posto è il suo gestore. Bruno è un ragazzo davvero gentile. Raramente si trova una persona che lavora al pubblico che sappia realmente rapportarsi con esso. Siamo stati 5 giorni al B&B e Bruno è stato accogliente e disponibile fino all'ultimo, regalandoci anche delle piacevoli chiacchierate. Fatevi raccontare un sacco di cose da lui, sopratutto del suo passato. Eccezionali.

Bellissima scoperta di questo piccolo e super accogliente B&B a pochi minuti dal centro e veramente a due passi dal quartiere di San Niccolò e del bellissimo Piazzale Michelangelo (passeggiata piacevole attraverso le verdeggianti rampe di San Niccolò). Il gestore, Bruno è un ragazzo con una bella passione per il suo luogo, la città e ti farà un piacere di trasmetterti informazioni e consigli per visitare al meglio la città e i suoi innumerevoli luoghi insoliti e nascosti (nato a Firenze, ma avendo sempre vissuto nella fredda Bruxelles, è un piacere poter scoprire Firenze in modo meno convenzionale che quello proposto da quasi tutte le guide turistiche). Le camere sono spaziose e calde, con delle belle terrazze per prendere la colazione e un po di fresco in estate e rilassarsi dopo una giornata di camminate e visite. Ottimi consigli anche da parte del gestore sui ristorantini e luoghi per bere un bicchiere. (Mi ha spiegato che a lavorato per svariati anni in uno dei più tipici e rinomati ristoranti fiorentini, il Cibreo). In breve, un'ottimo luogo da consigliare se cercate un B&B a Firenze. Ritornerò sicuramente la prossima volta che verrò a Firenze. A presto Niccolò.

Together with my wife we had a wonderful stay at Olivo and cannot recommend it higher. Bruno was a very helpful and welcoming host in every respect. A fantastic breakfast really tailor made to our tastes, excellent coffee almost any time of the day, all amenities at our disposal. What more could one ask? I just rated the location lower as it is a mere 20 minutes walk for the city centre. Apart from that everything was top notch! A big thank you Bruno for making our stay in Florence a very happy one. We will surely be back!
