Brand new and centrally located bed and breakfast, situated in an ancient historic building, expertly renovated and converted into a reception structure.

Spread over three floors, it has 4 rooms with private bathrooms.

At guests' complete disposal, there is a relaxing reading room with a beautiful sofa; a spacious room with a cozy fireplace where a continental breakfast is served with a rich buffet.

A garage is available for motorcycle and bicycle storage, free internet connection, air conditioning, hairdryer, bathroom toiletries kit, minibar.

Upon request from guests, we provide a private driver for your transportation needs.

In the historic center of Arezzo, in an elegant and refined setting, we will welcome you with hospitality and kindness.

The property is located right in the center, parallel to San Giuseppe Hospital, just steps away from major historical monuments such as the Cathedral, Basilica of San Francesco, Piazza Grande, La Pieve, Casa Vasari, Medieval Museum, etc.

Immersed in the antique fair (which takes place every first Sunday of the month), it will satisfy all your needs and make your stay unforgettable! Don't forget to visit us during the period of the Giostra Del Saracino, which takes place twice a year, in June at night and on the first Sunday of September.

How to reach us - From the train station, it is an 8-minute walk: from Piazza della Repubblica, go straight on Via Guido Monaco, turn left onto Via Cavour, and then right onto Via del Saracino.

From the highway: once you exit the toll booth, at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and continue on the highway towards Arezzo. Continue on the Arezzo-Battifolle connection. Proceed on Viale Gaetano Salvemini, arrive at Via dei Carabinieri, then at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and continue on Via Baldaccio d'Anghiari. At the second roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Largo Martiri delle Foibe. Turn right onto Via Porta Buia, take Via Isidoro del Lungo, and finally turn right onto Via del Saracino.

For the April 25th long weekend, my wife and I were planning to visit Arezzo, a beautiful city full of art and great charm. While browsing the web looking for a place to stay, I happened to read that there are several welcoming and well-located B&Bs in the historic center. My choice fell on B&B La Chimera because of its good reviews. Today I can say that I spent 4 days of complete relaxation in a structure that deserves the highest marks for being extremely efficient from all points of view. Located in the heart of the historic center, very clean and spacious rooms, abundant breakfast with sweet and savory options, and last but not least, the kindness and courtesy of the owners Alteo and Lory who were available for every request. What more can I say, a top-notch short vacation. We will definitely come back.

Fantastic managers from the reservation. They take care of the customer as if they were family friends. Low price. The only flaw is the location: excellent because it is in the center but not recommended for light sleepers, in Arezzo noise is allowed until 5 in the morning, not even in Campania.

I would have given all 10 if not for the structure itself, which is a bit dated, but for everything else it's definitely a 10! The kindness and availability of Mrs. Loredana is definitely an added value.

We had a great time, but unfortunately only for one night. The structure is very beautiful and located in a very convenient central position! My husband and I stayed at this property in the final days of the Christmas holidays. What can I say, everything was fantastic! Optimal location right in the center of Arezzo, discounted parking through the managers a few steps from the B&B, if desired you could park for free just a few minutes away. Precise directions from Mrs. Lory, total availability. We felt welcomed and pampered. It's almost impossible to do more, thank you so much.

We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay in the beautiful home of our hosts. Lory and her husband who have furnished and decorated the rooms in this stunning building with love, care and style. The breakfast was delicious with meats, pastries, cakes, Greek yogurt, fruit and bread. The room was very comfortable and cool with the air conditioning which was so important given the high temperature of 39 degrees that we experienced! Lory is a wonderful lady, so friendly and helpful and an amazing host. The position of the house is very central for visiting all the sights in beautiful Arezzo. Would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this establishment to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Arezzo. Caterina and Edo.

I stayed with my family the last weekend of April: excellent hospitality from Mrs. Lori, kind and helpful at all times. Beautiful structure, full of spaces, well renovated and very clean with some stairs to do. In the center, in a pedestrian area, but with nearby parking. Fair prices for the quality of the rooms and the abundant and fragrant breakfast. I would go back and will definitely go back.

È la terza volta che veniamo ad Arezzo, dopo due esperienze negative, ci siamo fidati dei consigli di amici per prenotare in questa struttura, la nostra recenzione non può che essere molto positiva, centro storico di Arezzo, meno di duecento metri da Piazza Grande e dalle vie principali dello shopping, a due passi dalla stazione ferroviaria, le stanze sono molto accoglienti e pulite, ottima la prima colazione, servita in una saletta meravigliosa dagli stessi proprietari, che secondo noi, meritano tantissimo, noi viaggiamo spesso, e vi posso assicurare che è molto difficile trovare strutture come la Chimera.

Posizione ottimale per visitare la città. La camera è molto pulita e dotata di tutto ciò che ti necessita. La colazione è molto abbondante. Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo. Abbiamo usufruito di questo B&B per una notte in occasione di un ricovero presso la Clinica S. Giuseppe. La struttura è una delle poche ad essere realmente a pochi passi (in salita come tutta la Città) dalla Clinica posta in zona ZtL, e quindi difficilmente raggiungibile con altra soluzione. Grazie alla gentilezza, la disponibilità e la simpatia dei proprietari abbiamo potuto utilizzare un'ottima convenzione che garantisce un prezzo giornaliero estremamente ridotto rispetto alla normale tariffa praticata da un vicino garage pubblico. Speriamo d poter tornare prossimamente nell'occasione di svago e turismo.

Abbiamo soggiornato solo per una notte ma è stata sufficiente per apprezzare la gentilezza e la disponibilità dei gestori. Ottima la posizione centrale ma soprattutto la pulizia e la colazione molto varia e abbondante. Che dire, lo consigliamo vivamente a chi vuole passare qualche giorno in questa bella cittadina. Ho soggiornato solo una notte in questo e purtroppo per motivi non piacevoli, dovendo ricoverare mio marito la mattina dopo, e quindi non ho potuto gustarmelo appieno. Le camere sono bellissime e curate nei minimi particolare, (se amate lo shabby ve ne innamorerete!). Il bagno è dotato di tutti i confort, il kit di cortesia è più completo di molti alberghi di categoria superiore. La colazione merita una seconda visita! (ho preso solo un caffè all'alba!) I proprietari gentilissimi, disponibilissimi e anche simpatici! Il prezzo, considerando la qualità del posto è decisamente abbordabile. Da provare e consigliare! Io ci ritorno!

Pochi giorni fa mia sorella ed io abbiamo avuto l' enorme piacere di soggiornare presso questo B&B di Arezzo per motivi di salute, vista la vicinanza (50 mt) all'ospedale San Giuseppe. È stata veramente una piacevole sorpresa, scoperta grazie alle recensioni su tripadvisor. La nostra stanza come sicuramente anche le altre, era un piccolo gioiello: pulitissima, curata nei minimi particolari e restaurata senza intaccare lo stile caratteristico delle vecchie case di una volta. Io dovendo ricoverarmi non ho potuto usufruire della prima colazione cosa che, invece, mia sorella ha apprezzato in pieno. La sala colazioni era imbandita con gusto e piena di cose buone fatte dalla proprietaria (crostate, cornetti caldi, torte, marmellate, yogurt, cereali e tante altre cose). La signora, che ringrazio, si è preoccupata di incartare per me, che non avevo potuto fare colazione la mattina presto, delle fette di crostata e cornetti buonissimi che io ho potuto apprezzare solo il giorno dopo l'intervento. I proprietari la signora Lory e il Signor Alteo, persone gentilissime e disponibilissime, sono stati straordinari: si sono offerti di venirci a prendere alla stazione e di accompagnare mio marito il giorno dopo, presso il parcheggio più vicino all'ospedale senza avere problemi con lo ZTL del centro di Arezzo ! Un ultimo avviso per non far capitare a voi quello che è successo a noi: NON CONFONDETE “L'HOTEL LA CHIMERA” con IL “BED & BREAKFAST LA CHIMERA” perché non sono la stessa cosa! Per errore noi siamo andate il giorno dell'arrivo all'Hotel La Chimera e per poco mia sorella ed io non stramazzavano al suolo per lo squallore, il vecchiume, la sporcizia, il cattivo odore e la dubbia frequentazione dell' hotel. Per fortuna ci siamo accorte in tempo dell'errore ed abbiamo avuto così l'opportunità di conoscere questo bel B&B. Torneremo senz'altro per fare una piccola vacanza presso questa deliziosa struttura e per apprezzare in pieno tutto quello che offre Arezzo e dintorni.

Un fine settimana ad Arezzo reso davvero indimenticabile dai signori Lory e Alteo, simpatici e disponibili: ci hanno accolti facendoci sentire a casa, con il calore che contraddistingue i toscani! La struttura è davvero molto carina, curata e in posizione ottimale tra il centro storico e la stazione. Da sottolineare la grande scelta nella colazione, veramente ottima! Très bon accueil, propriétaires très agréables et serviables. Dans le centre ancien, vieille maison très bien aménagée. Chambre spacieuse. Propose à 7 euro les 24h un stationnement dans un parking couvert à moins de 100 mètres. Idéal pour visiter Arezzo.

La gentilezza della signora Loredana e marito vanno di pari passo con la gestione del B&B. La struttura può essere equiparata ad un hotel tre stelle con la differenza che l'ospitalità si trasforma immediatamente in un rapporto quasi familiare. Tra mercatino dell'antiquariato, cena propiziatoria della contrada e giostra del Saraceno abbiamo trascorso tre giorni particolari.
