Brand new and centrally located bed and breakfast, situated in an ancient historic building, expertly renovated and converted into a reception structure.

Spread over three floors, it has 4 rooms with private bathrooms.

At guests' complete disposal, there is a relaxing reading room with a beautiful sofa; a spacious room with a cozy fireplace where a continental breakfast is served with a rich buffet.

A garage is available for motorcycle and bicycle storage, free internet connection, air conditioning, hairdryer, bathroom toiletries kit, minibar.

Upon request from guests, we provide a private driver for your transportation needs.

In the historic center of Arezzo, in an elegant and refined setting, we will welcome you with hospitality and kindness.

The property is located right in the center, parallel to San Giuseppe Hospital, just steps away from major historical monuments such as the Cathedral, Basilica of San Francesco, Piazza Grande, La Pieve, Casa Vasari, Medieval Museum, etc.

Immersed in the antique fair (which takes place every first Sunday of the month), it will satisfy all your needs and make your stay unforgettable! Don't forget to visit us during the period of the Giostra Del Saracino, which takes place twice a year, in June at night and on the first Sunday of September.

How to reach us - From the train station, it is an 8-minute walk: from Piazza della Repubblica, go straight on Via Guido Monaco, turn left onto Via Cavour, and then right onto Via del Saracino.

From the highway: once you exit the toll booth, at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and continue on the highway towards Arezzo. Continue on the Arezzo-Battifolle connection. Proceed on Viale Gaetano Salvemini, arrive at Via dei Carabinieri, then at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and continue on Via Baldaccio d'Anghiari. At the second roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Largo Martiri delle Foibe. Turn right onto Via Porta Buia, take Via Isidoro del Lungo, and finally turn right onto Via del Saracino.

For the April 25th long weekend, my wife and I were planning to visit Arezzo, a beautiful city full of art and great charm. While browsing the web looking for a place to stay, I happened to read that there are several welcoming and well-located B&Bs in the historic center. My choice fell on B&B La Chimera because of its good reviews. Today I can say that I spent 4 days of complete relaxation in a structure that deserves the highest marks for being extremely efficient from all points of view. Located in the heart of the historic center, very clean and spacious rooms, abundant breakfast with sweet and savory options, and last but not least, the kindness and courtesy of the owners Alteo and Lory who were available for every request. What more can I say, a top-notch short vacation. We will definitely come back.

Fantastic managers from the reservation. They take care of the customer as if they were family friends. Low price. The only flaw is the location: excellent because it is in the center but not recommended for light sleepers, in Arezzo noise is allowed until 5 in the morning, not even in Campania.

I would have given all 10 if not for the structure itself, which is a bit dated, but for everything else it's definitely a 10! The kindness and availability of Mrs. Loredana is definitely an added value.

My husband and I stayed at this property in the final days of the Christmas holidays. What can I say, everything was fantastic! Optimal location right in the center of Arezzo, discounted parking through the managers a few steps from the B&B, if desired you could park for free just a few minutes away. Precise directions from Mrs. Lory, total availability. We felt welcomed and pampered. It's almost impossible to do more, thank you so much.

We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay in the beautiful home of our hosts. Lory and her husband who have furnished and decorated the rooms in this stunning building with love, care and style. The breakfast was delicious with meats, pastries, cakes, Greek yogurt, fruit and bread. The room was very comfortable and cool with the air conditioning which was so important given the high temperature of 39 degrees that we experienced! Lory is a wonderful lady, so friendly and helpful and an amazing host. The position of the house is very central for visiting all the sights in beautiful Arezzo. Would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this establishment to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Arezzo. Caterina and Edo.

I stayed with my family the last weekend of April: excellent hospitality from Mrs. Lori, kind and helpful at all times. Beautiful structure, full of spaces, well renovated and very clean with some stairs to do. In the center, in a pedestrian area, but with nearby parking. Fair prices for the quality of the rooms and the abundant and fragrant breakfast. I would go back and will definitely go back.

It's the third time we come to Arezzo, after two negative experiences, we trusted our friend's advice to book at this establishment, our review can only be very positive. Arezzo's historical center, less than two hundred meters from Piazza Grande and the main shopping streets, a stone's throw from the train station, the rooms are very cozy and clean, excellent breakfast served in a wonderful little room by the owners themselves, who in our opinion, deserve a lot. We travel often and I can assure you that it's very difficult to find establishments like La Chimera.

We stayed at this B&B for one night on the occasion of a hospitalization at the San Giuseppe Clinic. The structure is one of the few to be really a short walk away (uphill like the whole city) from the Clinic located in a Limited Traffic Zone, and therefore hardly reachable with any other solution. Thanks to the kindness, availability, and friendliness of the owners, we were able to take advantage of an excellent agreement that guarantees a daily price extremely reduced compared to the normal rate practiced by a nearby public garage. We hope to be able to return soon for leisure and tourism.

I stayed only one night at this B&B La Chimera and unfortunately for unpleasant reasons, having to hospitalize my husband the morning after, so I couldn't fully enjoy it. The rooms are beautiful and meticulously cared for in every detail, (if you love shabby chic, you will fall in love with it!). The bathroom is equipped with all comforts, the courtesy kit is more complete than many higher category hotels. Breakfast deserves a second visit! (I only had a coffee at dawn!) The owners are very kind, helpful, and also funny! The price, considering the quality of the place, is definitely affordable. Worth trying and recommending! I will come back!

A few days ago my sister and I had the great pleasure of staying at this B&B La Chimera in Arezzo for health reasons, given the proximity (50 meters) to San Giuseppe Hospital. It was truly a pleasant surprise, discovered thanks to the reviews on TripAdvisor. Our room, as surely the others, was a little gem: immaculately clean, meticulously cared for, and restored without affecting the characteristic style of old houses of the past. As I had to be hospitalized, I couldn't enjoy breakfast, which my sister, instead, fully appreciated. The breakfast room was tastefully set and full of delicious things made by the owner (pies, warm croissants, cakes, jams, yogurt, cereals, and many other things). The lady, whom I thank, took care to wrap slices of pie and delicious croissants for me, which I could only appreciate the day after the surgery. The owners, Mrs. Lory and Mr. Alteo, very kind and helpful people, were extraordinary: they offered to pick us up at the station and to accompany my husband the next day to the nearest parking lot to the hospital without problems with the city center's ZTL! A final warning to prevent what happened to us: DO NOT CONFUSE “HOTEL LA CHIMERA” with “BED & BREAKFAST LA CHIMERA” because they are not the same thing! By mistake, we went to Hotel La Chimera on the day of arrival and my sister and I almost collapsed to the ground due to the squalor, the antiquity, the dirt, the bad smell, and the dubious clientele of the hotel. Luckily, we realized the mistake in time and thus had the opportunity to know this beautiful B&B. We will definitely return for a short vacation at this delightful property and fully appreciate everything Arezzo and its surroundings have to offer.
